I just recently celebrated my 2nd anniversary. It’s crazy how fast time flies by. I spent a long time hating my wedding, wedding photos and pretty much everything. As I contemplate on the past two years and how amazing my husband is, I realize I need to look past everything. I may never love my choices or the things that went wrong, but I am happily married despite it all! To all of you planning a wedding now, enjoy it and enjoy the process. It’s such a great time that you will want to remember. I took down all but three of my photos a long time ago, but I am here to share as I let go. Congratulations to all of the future brides out there. This is a great community with positive people!

I know you said you are disappointed with some of your choices, but you were a stunning and elegant, timeless bride. Same goes for the wedding from the photos you shared. The pic of you and your bridesmaids is so cute! I hope my wedding is just as beautiful. I hope that over time you look back with a sense of contentment. The most important thing is that you're happily married.

Your advice is SO true, when you've spent so long planning the wedding and worrying about it it can get you hyperfocused on the little things that weren't quite right, or what you could have done differently, but focusing on your marriage and all the wonderful parts of the day can totally change your perspective.
How did you celebrate your anniversary this year?

Thank you! For me, it was my look. I likely would’ve chosen another dress/hair/etc. and maybe a different photography style. I focused so much on the wedding look that I think I chose things not true to me. I would’ve done some wedding things differently as well, but the pictures are what I remember and see the wedding through. So, my advice to brides is choose carefully and remember the pictures are how you will always remember, so get ones special to you!
