24 days out and no bm dresses??

Alexis, on March 10, 2020 at 4:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16
Hey everyone!

My six bridesmaids ordered their dresses in January from Azazie. I looked a few days ago, because no one has gotten theirs back yet, and there’s like a production halt or something because of the Coronavirus and the dresses are made in China. Tomorrow is the last day for two of my girls delivery range, and Azazie hasn’t responded to their emails about their order. One girl got a response that said her order should arrive on time sometime next week. I don’t know if I believe that. Should they just order dresses from amazon? Should we wait until everyone’s delivery time frame is over and then order? We are only 24 days out! Help!

I would wait for the delivery time frame to end since it’s just another day or so and then find something on amazon that can come fast

    Hi Alexis,
My heart 💔 breaks for you, I think you really need a plan B at this point, your so close now, you can't afford not to be proactive and find another dress the girls can wear off the rack!

I would for sure keep trying to get a hold of Customer service, but i know they musy be busy because the company is facing so many delaya. I would order Amazon dresses. One of my bm ordered a month later than the others and hers wasn't going to come until the week after the wedding so she ordered one from Amazon.

I would go ahead with a plan b. It's not worth the anxiety. Personally I would just accept that the shipping delay is what it is and do what you can to fix it. It sucks but they couldn't help it. Date twins by the way! David's bridal might be able to get you guys something off the rack, but you may also have to pay rush fees.

My girls are ordering from azazie as well. but even before the virus news came about, they were told an 8 week window for production and shipment. i would wait until the shipment window, and if not plan b order from amazon since it's only 2 day shipping.

I went on Azazie they removed the chat feature which is a little bit alarming. I would keep trying to call them. I know they are in California, I wonder if there headquarters could be shut down right now and maybe that's why they aren't responding.. Also sorry saw this from poking around on the website a bit. https://support.azazie.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040797191-A-Note-Regarding-Coronavirus-COVID-19-

I would start looking through Amazon now, wait until your window closes, and then initiate plan B. It never hurts to have a "just in case" so you don't have to be too anxious

I'd start to work on a backup! If manufacturing is in China, delays could last as long as months (or you could get it tomorrow!) but not worth the risk...

I agree with you need a plan b and maybe even plan c. Are all your bridesmaids in the same city?

I don't want to give you a false hope but we have the same dilemma and my wedding is on May 2nd. However, i was just informed by one of my bridesmaid that she just got her dress as in literally just now. She bought it in Azazie back in January and her estimate delivery is March 10- 15 and thank God it's on time. Another bridesmaid of mine had a different solution because she ordered her dress middle of February. She checked out the Ready to Ship items on Azazie website then got it 3-5 days after she bought it. These are sample dresses and final sale but only for $50 and the exact color with other bridesmaids.

I would def Amazon prime it. Get something that the girls can return if their original dresses come in on time. I'm so sorry this is happening to you!!

I’d order from Amazon “prime” and make sure they have a return acceptance. That way you are backed up

I'm in the same boat but most of my bridesmaids have dresses, I am just waiting on 3.

I can't order from amazon unless I want those 3 to wear a different dress that doesn't match the others. I guess that's what I'll have to do worse comes to worse.

I would pick an alternate dress like others said.

Azazie just sent out an update through email:

    "To our valued Azazie customers,

Regarding the novel coronavirus status, we want to inform you that Azazie is closely monitoring news and reports from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and we are taking precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees.

We understand that this could be a stressful time for our customers and we want to assure you that we are committed to doing our very best to assist and offer any accommodations within a timely manner. We know many of you are still waiting on a response - please be assured that we will get back to everyone as soon as we can.

Our customer service team has been severely impacted by the recent events surrounding COVID-19 and we ask for everyone’s patience and understanding during this incredibly busy time. Our Stylists are all working as hard as they can and many team members from other departments have hopped on to help out. We are also currently hiring in an attempt to keep up with the increase in demand.

In the meantime, you can also find many answers to your questions by visiting our FAQs: https://support.azazie.com/hc/en-us

If you placed your order after January 26th, your order is on track and you can expect to receive it within the delivery window that was provided at checkout. You can check the status of your order 24/7 by logging into your Azazie.com account and viewing "My Orders"

At this time, we are unable to rush the production of any orders and we do not offer any expedited shipping. The current production window is 9 weeks for a made to order dress, plus 1-10 business days to ship. We have always and still do, recommend placing your orders at least 4 months before your event date to ensure you have it on time for your special event.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Sincerely,
    The Azazie Team"
