I'm having a 3-year engagement, I want the wedding of my dreams and it is gonna be expensive so I wanted to save for it.

I love a long engagement! It’s such a brief moment in our lives that we get to be a fiancé – I say live it up for as long as you can! Also, if you are a person who loves to plan, it allows you to extend the wedding planning process. We were supposed to have a two year engagement, but Covid turned that into a four year engagement. And TBH, I’m really glad it did! We had much longer to really think about what we wanted/all the little details, and longer to save money so we could have everything we wanted. Stretching it out over several years makes it much less stressful and way more fun! Congrats on the engagement – enjoy it for as long as you can!
