I ordered mine on Nov 23, 2019. It came in, in late March. Of course, now I won’t be wearing it until June 2021 but it’s here...

I’ve heard it takes about 6 months or so for wedding dresses to come in. You should start shopping now.

Hi! I get married March 27, 2021 and just picked my dress last week. It’s expected to be here in 6 months, leaving almost 3 months for alterations or a bit of time if it happens to be late because of COVID. I know I’ll have about four fittings between it coming in and the wedding day, so I felt like it’d be nice to space it out and not stress as much as time gets closer! Happy shopping!

It all depends on the dress you buy, some might take up to six months to order, but if you are going for a second hand or in store dress to get a discount then you won't have to worry about the order time. I got my dress from Davids bridal last Thanksgiving, arrived in December, and we are getting married May 2021. I started looking so early just cuz I was excited and got to go with my mom who lives across the country from me. However with covid especially, you may find it worth looking as early as possible, a lot of deliveries are being delayed and who knows how long this'll last.

    Hey Jami,

I would encourage you to go ahead and pick a dress as soon as possible. I said yes to my dress in July 2019 and it got here mid Feb 2020. With all the delays when making orders during COVID who knows how long it could take.

Good luck finding the dress of your dreams 🥰

It all depends on the designer you choose. They recommend you order at least 9-10 months before your wedding. This ensures it will arrive in time for you to get alterations.

It just depends on which route you go. From an actual shop, it could take some time and you'd want to give yourself at least 6 months for alterations. I got my dress a couple months ago off a bridal resale site called Stillwhite. Some are used but great condition and some have never been worn/tag still attached and decently discounted! I just shopped by my size, found the dress I wanted, contacted the seller and after I got all the info I needed, I purchased it. I got my dress within a week. Now, all I have to worry about is alterations.

I'm getting married April 25. I was supposed to get my gown in April, but the store was closed. Now I've re-scheduled for July. Hopefully the store is open by then, as the designers I like most don't have an at-home option. Smiley sad

I’ve been looking at stillwhite.com does your dress look exactly like the one posted? How likely are you to recommend? It’s the cheaper option. I plan on going in store to try on dresses just to see what type and style I like and get my measurements then from there I want to buy from stillwhite.com or preownedweddingdresses.com
