I’m getting married November 13, 2021 and my fiancé and I planned to have a Hawaii honeymoon. With Covid, we realize that travel has become, and will remain, a little more difficult to plan. Hawaii is currently requiring tourists to mandatory quarantine for 14 days or get a Covid Test prior to arrival. It’s hard to determine what rules will be in place by next year, but it makes planning even more stressful. How has COVID affected your honeymoon plans and what options have you found to accommodate for the uncertainty?

We decided to cancel our dream honeymoon to Japan, and save it to our first wedding anniversary, but are current plans is to just have our honeymoon in Washington DC, where their rules are more lax compared to Hawaii, and have basically more stuff open.

My wedding is June 27, 2021 and we’re planning a trip to a cute air bnb in Connecticut. We hope to make day trips to Boston and NYC, but at the very least, we’ll be able hike/kayak/walk around the small town. Hope we’re able to get out, though!

We booked a July '21, -14 day Alaska cruise last year in December for our honeymoon. But it was canceled cause the ship was sold. Luckily they rescheduled the cruise on a new ship and gave us the same deal. We are pretty hopeful that the only thing that will change about it is only being able to go on ship sponsored excursions. We are really excited about a glacier tour!

Well this year we were going to go to Costa Rica March 2020, obviously that didn't happen so we've decided to make that our Honeymoon trip April 2021. As of right now everything is booked and planned and it appears Costa Rica just needs a negative test but like with our wedding. We are doing a wait and see approach and hope for the best and change if needed as we get closer.

We are getting married on August 14 2021 and we were gonna go to Jamaica but with the expense and Coronavirus we then decided to just go to myrtle Beach because we can drive so it wouldn't be to expensive on our budget, but then with things not really changing and all you have to do to go on vacation. We decided not to go anywhere for a while.

We haven't booked anything yet since we postponed the wedding...I don't think anything has really changed other than the mask rules and whatnot. Obviously if there is another shutdown, that could impact our plans.

We are outdoorsy people and had planned to go hiking, scenic drives, drive up to WY and explore the area, eat good food...nothing that would really be impacted by Covid all that much.
I know someone who honeymooned in Gatlinburg recently. I think TN lifted a lot of their restrictions if I remember correctly, so that probably contributes to people going there.

We were supposed to go to Hawaii for our Honeymoon this past September, but had to cancel for obvious reasons. We still got married in the backyard on our original date in July and are hoping to have an April 2021 reception and hopefully we can do our honeymoon after that. But everything is still very much up in the air right now that we haven't even bothered to try to replan our honeymoon yet. I don't really feel like trying to reschedule everything if something comes up again. My guess is we'll wait and see what early 2021 brings and we'll go from there. We can always go later in the year if need be, doesn't have to be right after the wedding.

My fiancee and I are getting married in June 2021. But with COVID still going on, we agreed that pushing back our Italy honeymoon was the smart move. So I'm taking her there in 2022.

We had initially planned 2 weeks in Hokkaido, Japan back in 8/2020. Obviously that was scraped. We rebooked our flights to 8/2021 for 3 weeks in Hokkaido. If we have to scrap it again, we will probably just do something in the states and save it for a year... again.

Have been going to Hawaii (Oahu) for work during COVID and the testing procedure is pretty straightforward. Not sure where you’d be flying from but United has set up testing at some airports for their travelers that makes it pretty easy (it’s not cheap though). You just do your test and upload before you leave. Right now they’re doing pre-clearance at some airports so you don’t have to stand in line once you land (it’s kind of like going through customs).

Once you get there things are pretty normal. Similar mask/distancing rules you see elsewhere. Most people are wearing masks (less prevalent on the beach) and plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy (or just enjoy the view from your lanai!). So I think it sounds like a great 2021 honeymoon destination! I mean, assuming nothing else happens between now and then (knock on wood)...

I'm getting married on October 17, 2021 and we're going on a cruise. We were hesitant at first but I just received my Covid vaccine so we believe it should work out. We're going to the Caribbean.

Did you have insurance for in case you tested positive? That's what I'm trying to figure out in a different post.

I want to go to the carribbean SO bad for this may but I'm worried we won't have insurance to cover a mandatory quarantine if we test positive. How are you handling this?

I'm just playing things by ear. Idk how they do it on a cruise but I get my 2nd vaccine in April and will be researching what to do if we test positive before.
