2 weeks! What am I missing??

Lauren, on August 19, 2017 at 5:54 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

Guys....two weeks out and I seriously feel like I'm missing stuff. Made the final payment to the venue, have a few signs to make and have my cupcake platters coming. Got a new card box and have our Polaroid guest book ready. I have my dress and shoes, just need to steam my veil. Were waiting to here from a BBQ company for our rehaersal lunch on the 2nd. Need to buy our officiant something, my brother something (birthday and hes in the wedding). Also would like to get my dad one other thing. And I need to schedule to get my rings in to be resized a tiny bit and soldered together. What am I missing? Are there little details or anything that anyone can think of??? 0.0

Letters/cards to your FS and parents if you're doing those.

Thank you cards/gifts to your bridal party - have everything wrapped and ready!

Have all your stuff you're bringing for your venue ready and organized in a big box.

A bag with things you may need the day off (pins, tampons, scissors, tape, etc)

Finalize all the last details with photographer and DJ and officiant and venue

Print out an itinerary for hair and makeup/photos etc where people need to be and when for you guys and your families and bridal party - this may not be needed but at least for us there were a lot of "when is this? When's that? When do we need to be there? When does so and so need to be there?" Lol

Directions for your Polaroid guestbook! I had one at my wedding and having a little print out of directions (how to change the film, how to adjust the settings) etc was helpful. At my friends wedding she didn't have any instructions and I saw people waste film trying to figure it out

Oh jeez! Smiley sad so much and so little time. I knew about the directions just wasn't sure yet how to put it out. Dj is putting together the final timeline, finalized the venue stuff and florist. And I need to write out the list of who needs to be in what photos. Def. Didn't think about the bag of needs or even packing for the hotel that night lol

Sorry didn't mean to overwhelm you!! You seem on top of things! I waited on most of the things I listed till the day or two before and I was a mess after the rehearsal dinner and didn't get to sleep till like 4 am lol. I wish I would've been on top of it two weeks out like you are! On the home stretch!!! Smiley smile

God I've got so much to do still haha. I need the wedding party's gifts, need a veil still, waiting on my wedding band to come in, our parents a gift. Dani, I'm glad I read your post because I didn't think of the bag of things I may need for the day of.
