2 weeks out! June (17) Check in!

Juanita , on June 2, 2017 at 9:37 AM Posted in Planning 0 19

So how are all you June Brides feeling? What is left to do on your checklist? Can't believe that after all this planning (587 days to be exact) things are finally coming together! Smiley smile

Funny story: everyone who know's i'm getting married keep asking me if i'm getting nervous, anxious, scared, stressed, etc. And luckily *knock on all the wood* I haven't felt any of that at all. In the beginning I felt like it was way to much to do, and then I had issues with the priest and what not, but everything figured itself out. Almost makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong cuz i'm not stressing.

I have 0 stress right now too. There are a ton of people asking me what they can do to help and the honest answer is nothing. Our vendors are taking care of everything so I don't have to DIY anything at all. Best decision I made.

    To do list:

    - Final payments due next Friday to florist and photographer

    - Meeting with caterer on Monday to finalize plans and pay

    - Hair trial next Friday

    - Nail appt the Wednesday before wedding

    - Second dress fitting today

    - Purchase bridesmaids gifts. (already picked them out)

    - Pick up tuxes on the 21st

    - Rehearsal and dinner on the 22nd

I'm not doing programs. I think they're a waste of money honestly.

How are yall doing your nails? french tip? color? gel? acrylic?

I'm still not sure how I'm doing my nails either. I'm normally not one to have them painted.

I'm emailing back and forth with the DOC and feel like we are just going rounds on things that have already been said and changed.

My sister in law is going to do hair and make up trials on us all when she gets here. I know, I know. Friendors. She is going to use it in her portfolio for cosmotology school.

I still need to find a truck for FH's groom's cake.

I'm not stressing the wedding too much other than my family trying to take over and do it their way now that I'm here and making things. They are stressing me out more than anything. "You can't do that by yourself. You need to let soandso help or their feelings are going to be hurt." And then they don't their way and I have to redo it.

Does anyone else feel like they are forgetting anything?

@Juanita - I always have gel polish on so I'll definitely be doing gel for the wedding. I'm thinking something like this.

My date is also June 17th. I still need to pick up my dress, buy parent gifts and make my final venue and photography payment. Not sure what I'm doing yet either with my nails.

I have almost everything done but I keep feeling like I have more I need to do! Today we went shopping and bought bug spray and citronella candles for the outdoor area of the venue and sunscreen, along with a bunch of other stuff. This week is all gonna be about calming down before everything kicks in.

Tomorrow we have our final meeting with our officiant and weds we have a venue walk through with the caterer, then nothing until saturday when my bachelorette is. Then the 11th I pick up my dress. 15th we get the tuxes, I get my nails done, and then we have our rehearsal. It's all coming up so quickly! I'm one of those people who panics through the last minute details but I should be calm on the actual day haha.

Hello ladies, I'm also a 6/17 bride. I have a lot of the same of everyone asking what they can do to help. I am a planner so I have had the last couple months pretty easy. I just try to do one thing a day. I have submitted all my final payments. Ensured timing and everything is correct with all my vendors, everything seems set besides things I have to do the day before such as pick up my dress, get my nails done and drop off stuff for the reception. I am so excited that it is finally almost here! I do however know how many days until the wedding out of excitement!

Hi fellow June brides! I can't believe our wedding is two weeks away. I have my last exams for school the weekend before (didn't know I'd be in school when we picked our wedding date 1.5 years ago) so I am trying to do as much as I can this weekend. I've met with all the vendors and paid off as much as I can before the day of. Still has some DIY stuff that my mom and aunts will help with when they arrive. Have nail and waxing appts and FH needs to pick up his tux. Getting our marriage license Monday. Waiting for a few more orders in the mail. I have a list of all the little details I need to figure out. Stressing out quite a bit and hoping I don't forget anything. Can't wait to be done planning and finally be married! Hoping the wedding day is enjoyable and I'm not stressed by then!

Are any of you concerned about the weather at all? I looked at the forecast and it says scattered thunderstorms and 85F. A part of me says meh- oh well, the other part is like oh man!

6 days to go!! I'm excited! June8-spa day, June 9-rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, June 10-pedicure/manicure and bring decor to venue. We've pretty much paid off all the vendors just need to pay alcohol, photo booth, and transportation off.
