2 ring bearers and 1 flower girl. What to do?

Anonymous, on March 3, 2012 at 12:41 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 12

My two sons are my ring bearers(ages at wedding: 3 1/2 and 1). And my best friend's daughter is my flower girl(4). How will I make this work? I was thinking maybe a wagon or a white stroller for my youngest, because he will be just barely walking. Any ideas? I'm have a fall themed wedding, so maybe the wagon is more appropriate.. Thoughts?

I think a wagon would be so cute! Have the younger one holding the pillow in the wagon while the older one is pulling. Just be sure he can pull it! lol

Maybe you could add a little hay inside the wagon with some of your wedding flowers decorated around it.

You could also add cute leafy garland around the edge Smiley smile

The wagon could have the "Here comes the bride sign" since I'm assuming the older son will be carrying the ring pillow.

I've seen the wagon done, and it's quite adorable. I've also seen tricycles, which was so fun. Think like a kid, kids love wagons, tricycles, big wheels, scooters, maybe there's something that your kids already have and love that you could use.

Thank you for all of your ideas! I was thinking about decorating the wagon with a "Here come the bride sign". I really like the idea of garland. I will run that by FH because he has helped me make every decision in the wedding planning process, except for my dress. I think he will like that.

Future Mrs X- We have a wagon so, that we wouldn't have to buySmiley smile My 3yr old isn't very good at pedaling yet, so I'm not sure if anything with a bike would work:/ But it's a very cute idea!

I also have two RBs and one FG. The youngest RB and FG will both be three and will walk down together, followed by the older RB.

If you do the wagon. Be sure it is one that the little one can be strapped in. I would hate to see them tip out when the kids start pulling, or lean over and fall out.

Get a wagon and spray paint it white... or cover it in tulle or fabric. Be sure to keep the wheels and axles free. (2nd picture the ribbons are a little long)

Who is going to pull the wagon with the 1 year old in it? I don't know any 3 1/2year old who is capable of pulling a wagon with a 1 year old in it.

My kids pull each other all the time in the wagon when they are playing outside. (Daughter 4, Son 2) They take turns and my son can even pull my daughter in the wagon.

@Abby F- My son is really strong. He can pull his brother and his cousin in our wagon without a problem. I'm not worried about that, I'm more worried about how they are going to come down the aisle.

@Hayley- Thanks for the advice! The wagon is really cute, but I would rather stick with the original red and wooden one and decorate it with little decorations.
