2 quick questions

Lav, on November 2, 2021 at 11:30 AM Posted in Planning 0 10
1 - does my vendors like photographer, dj etc get count as a plated seat also or only my guests?

2 - I am planning to propose to my flower girl and ring bearers and I would like to know when I am suppose to give the flower girl basket for the wedding and the suspenders for the ring bearers? I was going to include in the proposal boxes but my fiancé said that was too early to give them the items to be used in the wedding.

Can't really answer the second one, but for no 1: ask your venue. But if they do not have an assigned seat, they usually count as vendors (half price at our venue)

Thank you but I am not working with venue, my wedding will be at my future in laws property and I am not using a coordinator, it’s all DIYs. Thanks anyways.

On #2 - I gave those items to their mom literally the day before the wedding at the rehearsal dinner. You don't want the kids (or their parents) to lose or damage those items, and they don't need them in advance. Just keep them and give them everything they need the week of the wedding.

No problem! But now I'm curious why you would ask this question, because the only issue where I would think this matters is the cost per plate?

Thank you! I guess I will do that. The suspenders I bought for the ring bearers do you think I should also wait to give them the week of the wedding or not? Because they would still need to buy the rest of the outfit to match the suspenders. What did you gave them as a proposal?

I am buying and renting items for the dinner and I was wondering if I should count my vendors. For example, I bought napkin holders for all my guests should I buy extra do accommodate the vendors also or only my guests? Do I need extra table for my vendors etc? Sorry my English, maybe my question was not good..

Anything people need for the ceremony should be given while they are getting ready.

Caterers provide vendor meals but they are often just a cold sandwich with chips. Your contract may require a hot meal. You have to discuss pricing with the caterer because every situation is different.

Then I would suggest you talk to your vendors. But we are having a table set up for them, nothing fancy (so no napkin holders), but honestly, they are human beings and deserve to be able to eat and drink something while seated.

Exactly. That’s why I was asking you guys, to make sure I was doing the right thing, I am going to talk with them. I was already counting them, I don’t want to serve a cold meal or sandwich while we will have a bunch of food and leftovers.
