2 questions! Veils and bridesmaids

Kimberly, on May 14, 2019 at 8:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13
Hi ladies!!
I have 2 questions. First one is does anyone know a good place/site to look at for veils?

2nd question: I have a really good friend that is getting married this August and recently asked me to be a bridesmaids. I said yes because I was honored but I already chose my bridesmaids for my wedding in November which are my sister, fiance's sister and my two childhood friends. Am I obligated to add her now?

You are not obligated to add her but you could include her in other aspects of your wedding

    Not at all.
You could choose to include her in other ways. But adding her isnt necessary.

#1 I just received my veil from Blanca Veils on Etsy! Absolutely in love and their customer service it great! Look them up on instagram to see more pictures. I also only spent $140 and it’s a full cathedral veil.

#2 don’t feel obligated. I agree with pp maybe look for other ways to include her.

    1) Etsy or Amazon

    2) You shouldn't feel obligated, especially if you've already announced your party or gone dress shopping. Do however include her in other ways such as bachelorette party or your shower.

I got my cathedral length veil online from JJshouse. It was super cheap, great quality, and looks beautiful!

I bought my cathedral veil for $70 from David’s Bridal and it matches my dress perfectly!

I don’t think you’re obligated to make her a BM. I am in a similar situation but even before I got engaged she was never someone I thought would be a BM. So when she asked, I was honored but didn’t return the favor.

I'm ordering my cathedral veil off of Etsy! I ordered swatches to find the correct color and will be ordering this week.

Avoid jj's house! I ordered a veil that had a ton of reviews, and I paid less than $30, so my expectations weren't the highest, the appliques were very pretty, but there were fishing line strings sticking out all over, the edge of the veil was cut badly and not matching to the appliques and one portion is literally puckered and won't lay flat so it won't lay right or look right in pics. I'm sure others have lucked out, because had those things not been wrong I would have LOVED it.

I got my veil where I got my dress but maybe David's bridal or check out wedding warehouse online.

As far add adding your friend as a bridesmaid, you are not obligated to do anything. If you want to add her you can if not I wouldn't worry. I think if your not you can invite her to your bachelorette party and just let her know she means a lot to you but you are keeping the party small!

You are not obligated to add her to your bridal party. I have a friend who is getting married in August that I am in her bridal party, but she is not in mine. I also have a friend I asked to be a bridesmaid and I wasn't a bridesmaid in hers.

Oh no, I’m so sorry!! I ordered my veil
from JJ’s house and it arrived in perfect condition, less than $30 also. I hope you later ended up getting one that was perfect for you! 🙂
