2 dresses

Is it too much of a hassle to have 2 dresses? We were going to have our wedding in October however, due to COVID and our venue change, we decided to have an outside wedding July 24, 2021. I got my 1st dress when we thought it would be cooler so I have a laced sleeved mermaid wedding dress. When we changed the day, I decided to get another dress that is lighter and cooler *still a mermaid dress* instead of altering my 1st dress. I love both the dresses but I am starting to think it will be a hassle to change after the ceremony. I will have a place to change so that's not an issue. Please give me your thoughts 🙃2 dresses 1

As long as you have a dedicated place to change, I don’t think it would be a hassle at all. I’ve been to many weddings where the bride has changed into a reception dress after dinner and it only took a few minutes. Your second dress is gorgeous on you – don’t let it go to waste!

I agree with Chrysta! Plenty of brides have a wardrobe change, so as long as you have an area to change in...you're good! Both dresses are beautiful!

I originally wanted to change dresses, but I fell in love with my dress so I wore it the entire time. I also didn't want to take the time from the reception nor make someone else miss it as I would've needed help getting out of my dress. I did however wear a different dress for my after party. My mom helped me change after the reception.

I don't think it would be a hassle. Would you wear the 1st dress for the ceremony and the second dress for the reception?

I say go for it! As long as there's a place at your venue where you can change, I don't think it'd take very long. And you'd get to enjoy both dresses!

I’ve known a lot of people who had multiple gowns! If your budget is ok for it then why not

Thank you all for your comments Smiley smile its helped. I'm just usually not very fussy over things and I feel like 2 dresses is excessive. But I think I'm gonna wear both of them.
