2 Ceremonies, Different Dresses

I actually kind of regret having the bigger dress. I love my minimony dress and wish I had just stuck with that. Honestly, I think you'll never regret wearing your dress twice. I did tear mine, but I'd rather get it refitted and repaired then wear my other one lol. Its just become my dress.

I will be wearing my big dress at the actually wedding and something more simple at the minimony!

I am planning to wear my wedding dress to both the minimony and big wedding next year. I paid a lot for it and am about to pay a lot more for alterations ( ), so I am going to maximize my value and wear it as many times as I can! I will probably change into a different dress after the mini ceremony when we go to dinner though, depending on weather and such.

We just had a small backyard ceremony a few weeks ago and I bought a dress from David’s Bridal for it. Saving THE dress for when we’re able to have the large wedding. Pic below with my Dad 💗

I originally had two dresses (both ballgowns) for my wedding. I wore one for my minimony and planning to wear the other for the big wedding.


My only regret is that I don't have any pictures of my minimony dress bustled. My mom insisted that I leave the train for all the photos, and she didn't bustle it until after the photographer left. I'm debating rewearing the dress for our first dance (we didn't have any dancing at the minimony) and then changing back. I for sure don't want to rewear it for the big ceremony, and the 2nd dress has straps and a better bustle for dancing. At least I have almost a year to decide!
I got a really nice, beaded, short, white dress from Poshmark that I wore for getting ready. It's Adrianna Papell, and it can be found in department stores and on its own website. There are white dresses in all lengths. I found it looking for an alternative dress before deciding to just wear my ballgown.

We’re having 3 ceremonies; a commitment ceremony, minimony & vow renewal. I’ve been so confused and torn between 3 dresses lol but I think I’m wearing 1 dress for the commitment ceremony & minimony and another for the vow renewal (so 2 dresses for 3 occasions).
