1st dress fitting (Hayley Paige/Dori dress) & didn't have a meltdown

I was super anxious going to my first fitting today, because I knew that the dress was going to be tight. So, the fact that I didn't end up curled up in the fetal position is a total win!! I was super anxious going to my first fitting today, because I knew that the dress was going to be tight. So, the fact that I didn't end up curled up in the fetal position is a total win!! She was able to get the top closure together, but it was a tight fit. Looking at the photos now, I almost like the look of it not being closed, but would need to hide that waist closure that shows. If I wear it closed, she'll let it out a bit and also add a closure where it gaps. The seamstress also wants to hem the front, but I'm 5'11, will be wearing heels and felt like the length was fine. I will be wearing my hair either half up/half down or all the way down.

I am currently having the same exact issue with this dress. I couldn't close the gap totally and was hysterically crying. When I went to my first dress fitting the tailor could get those clasps together but I was pinching in the back. So he decided the best thing to do was leave the back open (like the 2nd picture shown) and tighten the straps. I just wanted to say thank you so much for posting this, because it really helped me be at peace about this and made me realize I wasn't the only person with this problem.
