I think your ball gown will be beautiful! You can bring a 20’s flare to it with jewelry or a cute head piece. Or you could do a 2nd dress for the reception in more of a traditional 20’s style. Either way, your reception decor will bring the theme to life.

Maybe look for a gown with a 20's feel that you can add a ballgown over skirt to and remove for the reception.

You can also go right in the middle and do a-line. My dress is vintage inspired a-line. Soterro and Midgley make a ton of vintage inspired gowns. Here is one with a ballgown skirt. You can then do your hair and makeup 1920s.

My soon to be mother in law loves this one, n she's even offered to pay for whatever I choose, but I'm not quite hooked on the skirt.

I hate to break this to you, but zoot suits are not indicative of the 1920s. They started to appear at the tail end of the 1920s, but only worn by jazz entertainers. Zoot suits would be much more appropriate for a 1930s or 40s themed wedding. Your fiance needs to do some further research into what men actually wore for 1920s parties.

That said, I'm big fan of the 1st dress in your most recent post. It definitely evokes the 1920s feel, while still being modern at the same time.
