1920s dresses for junior bridesmaids and flower girl

Flapper, on August 13, 2013 at 8:48 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

My wedding is going to be 1920s inspired at a local theatre build during that time. I am having a hard time finding junior bridesmaid dresses to fit the time period for my two nieces who are 11 and 13. The older bridesmaids are wearing a flapper style dress from Nordstroms. If anyone has any ideas for their dress or for a flower girl dress that is more in line with the type of dress the flower girls actually wore in wedding back then please let me know. Thanks.

Here is a picture of the bridesmaid dress and two vintage pictures of flower girls in 1920s weddings.

One of my bridesmaids really loves modcloth.com...we ordered her bridesmaid dress from them. They have a large selection of vintage inspired styles and clothing. They aren't a children's site, per se, but I wonder if some of the small sizes might at least fit the 13 yr old? You could also try looking on Etsy. They have alot of vintage inspired, and actually vintage clothing. Or you might be able to find an Etsian who is willing to make what you are looking for.

Love your bridesmaid dress....Im having a 1920's Great Gatsby inspired wedding and Im having the same issue, so I might go with a non beaded dress and just drape them in pearls.

You might look for a sheath type dress with a dropped waist (band around the hips).
