1920's Bridesmaid Dresses

Leanne, on August 19, 2014 at 1:02 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 7

I am looking for bridesmaid dresses for my 1920's themed wedding. I don't want flapper dresses. More like the elegant dresses worn on Downton Abbey. I have found a few I like at Modcloth.com...but they don't go to a large enough size. Macy's has a few nice ones. But I'm curious if anyone knows of some other good options.

Have you looked at Sue Wong's gowns/dresses? She has a strong '20s influence... they're not cheap (at all) but they're works of art

Not sure if you or your BMs are paying for the dress, but this route didn't work for me budget wise Smiley sad Beaded dresses are usually pricey. An alternative is to incorporate 1920's elements like having them wear feathers in their hairpieces or bouquets, beaded headbands, or art deco style jewelry.

My girls are paying for their own dress. I found one at David's bridal that would have worked but it's no longer available =/ The largest size I need is between 18 and 20. All the girls are tall except one. I hate the fake 1920s looking dresses. I want a more classy wedding party. But I don't want to break the bank in the process.
