16.5 ft veil with appliqué & hair updo

Bethany, on March 31, 2021 at 8:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
Got this beauty the other day (picture is the shorter version) and tried it on in my carpeted bedroom. My heart sank as I walked because it bunched up and I could not walk without it falling out due to the weight. My hair was (and will be) very up (second picture). I'm hoping my hair stylist will be able secure the veil with backcombing and pins. But, how do I keep the veil from bunching on the grass when walking down the isle?16.5 ft veil with appliqué & hair updo 1

So beautiful! By bunching up you mean gathering up so it looks skinny rather than spread out like the photos right? I don't have a solution as I also have a veil that's about that length but I am having two girls walking with me lifting it (like Pipa Middleton did for Kate). They will basically just fix it once I arrive at the altar. If you rather walk alone you can just have your Bridesmaids fix it when you arrive.

Hi Bethany! I would do a practice run with your hair stylist at your trial to make sure you can really secure the veil - but your hair stylist should definitely be able to do this!!

Your veil can bunch or snag on things in it's path, so I think having someone in charge of fixing your veil after you come down the aisle is smart! You can also try to lay down as smooth of an aisle surface as possible for your veil to glide down.

For centuries this has been the job of 2 pages, there just really is mot another way on most surfaces than to have two walk holding the veil and arranging it if needed.
