Is your wedding still on? I am still moving forward and planning on having my wedding, but I’ve seen a lot of people getting married in Sept and Oct postponing until next year. Do you think I’ll be okay? I’m panicking lol My bridesmaids got their dresses, I assembled my invitations, and I’m just nervous about this darn virus!

Breathe! Depending on where you are, you may be perfectly fine by that point. If you're having a small enough wedding and don't mind the social distancing and safety precautions, I would take some time and see. Truth is a lot of brides are already taking the 2021 dates, and panicking and moving now might make things harder. What state are you in? Is your venue indoors or outdoors? Are you expecting around 100 people? I, personally, am planning on going ahead with our August wedding in Texas. Venues have been allowed to open again, and you have go admit that things will have to get somewhat better by that point. I also saw an article this morning about doctors in New York saying we should reopen things.

So I say, take a breath. Look at your wedding, see the above questions. I wouldn't be planning on postponing yet - I would give it a few more months to see. We're reopening in Texas, and so far things seem ok.

Thank you! I’m in Ohio a lot of businesses are starting to open May 15th and slowly everything there after. My venue is planning on being open, and there are only 80 people on my guest list. Venue is indoors for both reception and ceremony. I think we should be okay but I’m a worry wart! Lol

We moved our May wedding to October 18th and are hopeful it will be able to take place. We’re in PA.
I do think it’s doubtful that our international guests will be able to come which is heartbreaking because it’s my family, but I don’t know when it would be safe for them.

My wedding is in New York (Western portion of state), so with each day I mentally prepare myself that well have to eventually postpone.
With that said, our date is set for 10/10 and I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to have it. Since we have to order invitations July 1, we set that as the day to decide if we’re postponing or moving forward. That gives use three months before the wedding and a couple months from now to see if things get any better. If it’s still questionable, we’re postponing to June hopefully.

September wedding here. not postponing until im told to. we should be in good shape by september. u have 5 months to go think how much has changed since 5 months ago. i think some people r just getting nervous and postponing prematurely. all the wedding experts are saying sept should be fine just think of a plan B. october should be even better. some people also dont want to budge from their dream vision. things are going to look different whether its this october or next because the world has changed. id be happy if they allow a smaller guest list with some precautions. anyone who does not feel safe coming doesnt have to come and i understand that. im not willing to wait a year or more after doing all this planning.

I wish you the best, and hope it all works out! I’m hopeful for my 10/18 wedding! Our guest list is pretty small so I’m trying to stay positive!

My wedding is October 25th and we haven't postponed. Out venue told us to reach out again as the time gets closer. It's so hard to know but I'm trying to remain positive we will be able to have a wedding and if anything we may just need to cut our list down.

I can totally relate. We are scheduled to get married on Sept 26, 2020. I go back and forth with my emotions. Some days I'm so down and frustrated because I feel like I cant get get excited about it or even finish up wedding planning because we really just dont know what to expect. My FH and I already planned a smaller wedding (50) to begin with and we really just wanted to have a simple and beautiful wedding. Theres so much outpouring from people saying to postpone it and such. We wanted to keep the date because it is our actual anniversary. Anyways, I've just been taking it day by day and moving forward with the wedding until I am notified otherwise by government. Best wishes to all brides going this. I'm so glad that there has been a forum like this to discuss thoughts/feelings regarding this. It feels like when you communicate with people you are close with, they just dont get it. It's not because they dont want to get it but they arent going through it, so it's always great to not feel alone with stuff like this. Best of luck to all the summer/fall 2020 brides!! ❤

Thank you for sharing this! I am in the same boat as you, but I’m going to keep it as is until I’m
Forced not to. My venue Said they will reschedule if I need to, but as of now they are planning to be open!
