~$1000 Photographer in the NYC area?

Can anyone recommend a photographer who would cover a 6-8 hour day of wedding events for about $1000 or less? We would only need one photographer, it's going to be a small celebration. I know the budget is not much, but it's what we have to work with. Thanks!

    I'm getting married in Bumblefuck Pennsylvania and I couldn't find a photographer for less than $1500. Without any "extras", 6 hours of coverage, no e-pics, no album...

    You probably will only get a person new to photog for that price or not as many hours.

    I am paying $900 for all day coverage in se Minnesota and that's with some major research and weeding out the bad ones. Honestly you will either have to change your budget or change the time you need them.

    The point is not the hours. The point is that wedding pros have only so many billable days in a year. If we can bill more dollars, we will. This is why we don't book elopements 8 months in advance.

    It's not that we don't love ya...we just can't exist if we book our smallest packages for in season dates.

    To directly answer Joy's post, I do know of a photographer who will cover her wedding in that budget range!
