We’re down to our one year mark! Exactly 365 days till the big day!!! Who else is excited?😁 How are your wedding preps coming along?

So far I have already booked our venue, caterer, wedding officiant, photographer and videographer. I’m already talking to a DJ and HMUA. My future sister in law might do our cake since she’s a chef but I’m still looking around so she won’t feel pressured. As for my bouquet, boutonnière, corsages etc I’m planning to order from a vendor from the Philippines who uses recycled materials and fossilized flowers so I can still keep them and use it for decoration. I plan to DIY my table centerpiece too. I’ll start dress shopping next week.😊 Hope everyone’s doing great!

Very excited! Have our venue, officiant, photographer, my dress and the groom's dress shirt and tie, the rings, and almost all the thank you gifrs. I'm making the cake and diy-ing programs, decorations and flowers. I'm doing my own hair and makeup, and my family is doing the catering. Think we are making great progress. Have over half of the items purchases on our list.

I'm super excited we have the most of the big stuff; cake, venue's, photographer, caterer and DJ. Looking for a bartender and officiant. We are placing our deposit for the DOC next month. I have been working on my bouquet almost finished, and deciding if I should do my own centerpieces, thinking of making my own DIY Vintage Luggage, cause that stuff is flippin expensive

I'm super excited that 10/10/20 is finally less than a year away! We have our venue (catering included), photographer and videographer, photo booth, DJ, cake baker, etc all booked. I bought my wedding dress a few weeks ago, and we are almost done asking our bridal party Smiley smile just have to focus on the details with the venue for decorating and stuff, plus get my dress altered and then go outfit shopping with the bridal party. So relieved that we have all the big stuff booked so we don't have to stress over the holidays! Happy wedding planning!!

What is your wedding theme? We're doing Rustic Romance Travel theme. I also want to have a vintage luggage for decor but they are very expensive. I wanted to DIY that too but I don't think I'm that creative. Lol! Let me know how you'll do it. =)

That's true!! I'm so relieved too. We are on the same page. I just booked our DJ last night and met up with a couturier that will make my gown last month. As for my cake my FMIL said she'll take care of it. We're planning to ask our bridal party next month when we meet for the holidays. Happy preps! =)

Wow! You're just about done with everything. I admire the ladies who will do their own hair and make up on their wedding day because I don't think I can do it. What is your make up inspiration for the big day? =)

If you're DIYing all the flowers and centerpieces then I think it's never too early to start now. Especially with the holidays coming along. Plus you'll get the best deals to get the decors (Black Friday sale and Christmas sale). Happy wedding planning! =)

Our theme is more vintage think Harlem Renaissance, NOT Great Gatsby. I really want to pay tribute to those who inspired such a movement of everything (arts, music, poetry, dance) it seems like such a magical time 1930s New York so I really want to capture that. So for the luggage I'm using them on our main tables dessert, and our table it was called the Great Migration because so many blacks moved from the south to the North. Then our centerpieces are going to feathers and flowers to cut down the cost of feathers (which are crazy expensive). Lastly around the centerpieces I'm foing to have little tealamps, like if you were in the Cotton Club, so basically I have a lot to do😊🖤. I will let you know.....

    Sorry so wordy

So true!! I have spoken with a couple of vendors who said the same thing. Some of them were already booked on the day of the wedding so I was in panic mode for a while. Glad I can take a breather now.Smiley laugh 10 months to go!!Smiley heart
