1 Year Anniversary Gift

Natalie, on September 1, 2017 at 12:41 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

I would love recommendations as to what to get my husband for our 1 year wedding anniversary that's coming up. I already gave him beautiful airplane cufflinks from Tiffany for his birthday in May (he's a pilot), and I really can't afford to spend as much as I did for those. They were a really special gift, that I had saved for a long time. Anyway, he already has a lovely watch, and he doesn't really wear any other Jewelry and isn't very materialistic. We have a million lovely pictures of us in frames so that's out, and he isn't really a gadget guy. I could possibly get him some beautiful Calvin Klein shirts, but I feel that's more a Christmas type thing. What do you guys think of the idea in the link posted below? It could be cool as we met in Florida, married in St. Louis, and live in Chicago, but I dunno if this is corny or not? He's more about the thought than the expense.

I think that's a cute idea and fits the traditional one year wedding gift theme of "paper" Smiley smile

That's a very cute idea especially with you guys having different places!

For our one year I got DH tickets to the Cleveland Indians. It was a lot of fun and something we love to do together. We did shirts with our wedding date on the back and our last name. He also got me a picture with 1 year together and it does the count down of the months, etc.

I love this idea! I think it would be perfect for him with the paper theme for the one year and the maps, as he is a pilot.

GreeneBunny, I know I can't believe it's been a year! Time flies doesn't it? I'm not sure I ever saw any of your wedding photos! Maybe I did and forgot? I would love to see some! T&T, that so cute what you guys did! I love it! Thanks all for the positive feedback.

Can't wait to view it GreeneBunny! I'm a Flight Attendant and I just flew to Portland from Chicago and we are going back soon, but I'll be sure to look at it later today. I spoke with my hubby earlier, and it seems he would rather me save money for us To travel and stuff (he's a pilot) and mentioned having a travel fund, since every time he thinks we have extra money, we then have to pay it for something else.. I think I'm going to open up a joint travel savings account for us, and put $100.00 in it to start. I love the map picture, but I think he would like this more. Maybe I gave you guys a first wedding anniversary idea with the picture!
