1 song or 2 for the bridal party

Samantha, on June 9, 2019 at 3:11 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9
Hey all!
I just passed I into double digits on my countdown until the big day and all the last minute stresses and planning details are bubbling to the front of my brain so I'm looking for some advice. I have a small bridal party, just 2 ring bearers who will be walking together, and then my moh and 1 bridesman also walking together and then me. The song I want is exactly 3 minutes long and I have been planning to just play 1 song for all of us down the aisle but in the last week have had my DJ, future MIL and MOH question that and say I should play a separate song for the bridal party. Thoughts?
It only takes about 40 seconds tops to walk down my aisle, going slowly I checked lol, and I'm worried that playing 2 songs would cut them both short.
For reference the song my heart is set on is Etta James At Last. Thanks in advance!

I've never been to a wedding where the bride didn't walk to her own song, but if that's what you want, I think you should go for it. Will anyone else be walking in the processional? Your FS's side of the wedding party? Parents or grandparents? If so, that would take up some time as well. We will play one song for parents and bridal party, then another song for myself.

I am using the same song for my bridal party and I because I love The song so much. There is nothing wrong with that! I will Be having the dj lower it slightly to let people know I am coming towards the end of the song. However, my fh husband and officiant/godparents of the wedding will be walking down. Our grandparents and his parents will also be walking down so we have two other 1 minute songs we are using for that.

I am hoping to use 1 sing for me and bridal party cause I want the whole song to play. We are playing somewhere over the rainbow to get attention and for parents. Then me and bridal party is a million dreams.

We have a small wedding party, too. FH, best woman, and groomsman will walk out to one, and then bridesman, maid of honor, and I will walk out to another. The two songs are very important to us, so we wanted as much played of them as possible.

I think you should save the best for last! Have your own song and play something else for the rest of the processional (including when the parents and grandparents enter, when the groom and officiant enter, will you have an aisle runner?) if you don't want the song cut short, you can always have them start playing it before you start walking (are they opening the double doors for you? Do you have a turn or stairs in the walkup? those are things you could use to stretch it out a bit more) but everyone will be so happy and overcome with emotion at that point of seeing you and your future spouse get ready to tie the knot they won't be worried about you not playing the entire song out. As long as your DJ is experienced and able to transition smoothly, it will be beautiful either way. best wishes Smiley smile

I plan on using two songs as one is a surprise for my fiancé. The first one is about 4 minutes and I have 4 BMs and a FG who have a bit of a walk. If I walked using the same song I would have to practically run down the aisle to make it in time.
