Activity for Nettie

So neither me or my fiance are very close to our extended family we see them like maybe once a year. We are never really invited to family gatherings or anything like that. Is it wrong to only invite the extended family we like?

So my fiance and I are planning on have a handfasting ceremony instead of a traditional ceremony, for religious reasons. And I'm alittle bit nervous about it, not because I don't want to do it (I really really do). It's more like I've never seen one...
