Activity for Shannon

Im not a big flower person and im getting married in Annapolis over looking the water any ideas on how to decorate on a balcony without a lot of flowers ? and also what are your opinions on real bouquets over fake ones ?

We're having a outdoor wedding in October on the water I really like the idea of the blankets but do I need one for every guest or just get about half since there only going to Borrow them ?
