Activity for Autumn

Okay i am cluless as to what priorities i should put first? Reserve the rentals? Get the dress? Decorations? Food? DJ? What comes first???

Im having an outdoor wedding in Michigan on October 7th. Which in Michigan you never know what to expect. Any brides out there have any advice on the time of year, preparations, attire, and food? We are renting a tent for the reception.
