Has anyone printed their own place cards or had them printed at staples/FedEx Kinko’s? If so, how did they come out and how much did it cost?

We just got engaged after 8 years of dating around thanksgiving time. We are now starting to plan our wedding but feel like we are paying an arm an a leg for a 5 hour event. My FH and myself are paying for the event ourselves. Any tips to save money?...
