My wedding is November 17th 2018, I'm thinking of sending save the dates out within the next month or so, would that technically be too early?

Has anyone done all paper flowers for their wedding? I'm a very crafty person so I'm wanting to make flowers myself. I've found a lot on Pinterest but I've never heard of people doing their wedding full on paper flowers. Is it tacky? Post pictures if...
