We will have a lot of people coming from out of town for our holiday weekend wedding. The wedding itself is on a Sunday night. Is it crazy to think of having a bridal shower the day before? What about the Friday before?

My wedding is just over a year away but we're starting to book vendors. We've been talking with 4-5 caterers and I'm overwhelmed with options and costs. How did you narrow your choices? Any advice for this stage?
