Activity for Ashley

My FH and I were wondering if we should have a send off. We are staying in the same hotel we are getting married and having our reception in. Is a send off necessary to just go up stairs?

My dad passed away not to long before I got engaged, I told my brother he would like him to walk me down. Would it be weird if my brother and I carried a small container of his ashes down with us? Or what the best way to do something for him?
