Activity for Yehlsa

Just got a quote for my invitations (pretty simple design, nothing custom) and it was crazily overpriced ($12-15/per invitation). Has anyone designed there own invitations but sent them somewhere to be printed? I know I can do the design...

I'm planning my wedding for next summer. I have lots of ideas but just need someone to confirm that they are good ideas and to make sure everything is cohesive for theme. Do you recommend wedding planner? Or alternative route - maybe hourly service...
