Me and my fiance are planning our wedding with no help from our parents.Any ideas on cheaper ways to ways to make a beautiful and elegant wedding on a small budget?

Want reception to be inside in a catering hall but would love to get married outside. We want to get married in October so it will be beautiful outside but I am lost with where to start looking. Any suggestions?
