Our story began in September with a digital spark and a few hundred miles between us. At first I played hard to get, but Lucas’s humor and persistence quickly closed the gap because we couldn’t just meet for coffee, we built our foundation on words—days filled with constant conversation and nights on FaceTime until the world went quiet and I drifted off to sleep. In November we finally traded the distance for a table for two at Table 33. The moment I saw him, I felt a peace that can only be described as divine; I knew then that God had orchestrated our meeting for a purpose far greater than a date. That weekend Lucas stepped seamlessly into my world—spending Saturday at the gun range with my father and Sunday surrounded by my family—proving he was exactly where he was meant to be. By December our lives were beautifully intertwined. I traveled to meet his family and watched him play violin in his Christmas program, seeing the depth of his talent and the grace that defines him. The miles remained, but our hearts were firmly in the same place. The most beautiful chapter unfolded on a quiet evening in January, during our weekly devotion—our sacred time of prayer and reflection—Lucas asked me to spend forever with him. It was a moment rooted in faith, a reminder that what God brings together no distance can diminish. After months of counting down the days, we’re ready to leave long distance behind. We can’t wait to spend every day by each other’s side, building a future filled with faith, purpose, and a lifetime of laughter.
