Activity for Mistylynn

We are getting married in October 2020, so a little far in advance here, but we are thinking shower ideas! I do not want a conventional shower, (from Chicago, IL - this means a banquet room usually, with a full meal/brunch, games, mimosas, open gifts...

Is there anything you wish you would have included in your wedding venue contract / or wish that was included by the venue? We are going through the process now, and the contract seems pretty vague. Thanks in advance!
