Our wedding is going to be a formal event and I already have my wedding gown. It has a chapel train (3 feet long) but it doesn't have any buttons on the back to shorten it for the reception and I'm afraid it will get stepped on or make dancing...

I am going to start dress shopping the end of the month and looking for an affordable mermaid, fit and flare or trumpet dress to wear looking for something $1000 or so or even under. Or if you have any suggestions even if you didn't pick that style....
