Anyone surprised a Vow renewal (25 years) & how did it go?

If a vow renewal is a surprise, how does it get officiated? for a 25 year renewing..

Coming up is my hubby and I's 20th "dating" anniversary with our 18th Wedding anniversary a month later...can we celebrate big somehow? Hoping for a renewal on our 20th wedding anniversary... if not sooner.Anyone have ideas??
