Activity for Shirnette

Have any of you brides ever been to one or know of someone who did? would you recommend it based on the experience? i'm thinking of going to the one at Filene's Basement in NY next month..gowns/dresses from 1K- 7K will go for~ $250-...

I want to incorporate this in our ceremony. When exactly is this done? Is it just before the officiant announces the couple as Mr & mrs....and states the couple can kiss?
