Activity for Evelyn

What can I serve at a reception with a decidedly English flair. I an hoping to keep costs down. I know Roast Beef and Gravy and Yorkshire pudding. But what would cost less? Maybe some kind of just finger foods and appetizer type food, but what?

1. I want an evening wedding because I want lots of candlelight (small/intimate) and twinkle lights. However, I don't want anything too formal. Groom will be wearing just a suit-no tux. I want a wedding dress but can I wear just a tea-length dress?...
