How far in advance do you need to go in and get a dress fitting/alterations?

So I was practicing my signature and I realized that people are ALWAYS going to spell both my names wrong. Everyone spells it wrong now, but soon it will be Rebekah Colman. No E. At least I'm used to it, anyone gonna have this problem?
