How many of you have made your invites, and save the dates yourselves? Would you say it was better for you budget wise? Was it easier? What programs did you use? Very seriously contemplating doing this.

I am recently engaged and we were thinking of a fall wedding 2017, 2018 to give us time to save and prep. How soon should we get our engagement photos taken, Whens a good time frame to send out save the dates with a wedding so far into the future?
