Yesterday I went to David's Bridal to try on dresses. As a plus size girl it can be very challenging. It's very important to embrace your weight or work on it otherwise no matter what you try on you wont be happy. The dress that fit me best was a mermaid dress, silk on the top and tulle on the bottom, accessorized with a beaded belt. It was beautiful but the bottom had a train in the bad which was too much for me. It was heavier than expected. I tried on a few other types, vintage and simple but it was not a good fit. I continue to search but most likely will get my dress custom made.
