Last night, 9/13/2025, Christiani's catered a 205-person event in downtown Des Moines for the Catholic Diocese of Des Moines. The food was delicious; the staff were so friendly and flexible; and the pre-event communication with Peter was top-notch (quick to reply, thorough and patient). The staff were so quiet as they cleared away plates and glasses during the program that followed the dinner. They also catered appetizers for our event. We did not utilize their bar services and utilized volunteers for our bar.

Michael was very professional and easy to work with. He honored all of our requests, including creating a customized hora for us! He had an excellent song selection and made it easy for us to enjoy the night without worry.

We went through Complete Weddings + Events for both our DJ and photographer, and they were absolutely incredible from start to finish. From the beginning, Kim, our main contact at Complete, was so helpful, responsive, and flexible. She kept us in the loop and made sure everything was on track. Their online planning system was also super easy to use, which made organizing everything much less stressful. As for our vendors, they were phenomenal. Our photographer, Hope, was far and away the best photographer we could have ever asked for. She was so communicative throughout the entire process, doing multiple Zoom calls to get to know me and my husband and really understand our vision for the day. She even looked through my Pinterest board and created a full shot list ahead of time, which she had on-hand day-of. Hope helped build our photography timeline and it worked out perfectly. She made everyone feel comfortable and at ease, gave clear direction to make photos feel natural and candid, and was so fun to be around. On top of that, she brought her Polaroid camera and gave us a little album of instant photos from the day such a thoughtful touch. It was nearly 90 degrees on our wedding day, and she was still willing to move around our large venue, scout different photo spots, and never once made us feel rushed. We’ve only received our sneak peeks so far (which she delivered within days!), and we are blown away. I truly could not recommend Hope more she was professional, fun, and so incredibly talented. I feel so lucky we had her capturing our wedding. Our DJ, Cody, was also amazing! He kept the energy up all night, read the crowd perfectly, and made sure everything flowed smoothly from the reception entrance to the last song. He was great with announcements and timing and really kept the party going. We also added the lighting package, which elevated the dance floor and helped everything feel like a real celebration. If you’re even slightly considering using Complete Weddings + Events do it! They were incredibly affordable for the level of service we received and made our day feel seamless and unforgettable. Thank you so much to Complete Weddings, Kim, Hope, and Cody we couldn’t be more grateful!

Anna was AMAZING to work with. She was timely, made us feel comfortable and had great communication! The photos are beautiful!

Curtis was amazing and kept the dance floor lively all night! He worked so diligently and even included German song to make my entire family feel so included in the party! He is so easy to work with and has such an easy going attitude! We were texting the full week leading to the wedding making little adjustment here and there! I 100% would recommend him! His knowledge and years of experience really shown through and we were so thankful to have him a part of our day!

Working with the team at Bella Flora was a dream come true! I had Bella Flora in mind (from following their work on facebook) for years prior to my engagement. So when the day came that it was my turn to book a florist and expert in decor & more, they were my first vendor to book! Kelly, Lynn and Emily are such a dynamic team. Being the best in the business, they are well connected across many entities and helped us find our amazing Wedding Coordinator, DJ and nailed down every aspect of our venue as they are experts on so many different venues they have been to before! My first meeting with Bella Flora consisted of sharing all of my hopes and dreams for our wedding day a year following our first meeting! I was able to share pictures, look at pictures they had previously taken of their work and clients along with get ideas and inspiration. From this point, they took my ideas and ran with them! The normal, the crazy, and the spectacular- they made each of them happen in the months to follow! Our second meeting with them, we talked about vendors I had booked and more intentional dreams that I had curated after searching for what felt right for our big day. After this meeting, they sent us many options detailed with the exact flowers and looks we were going for. The team took into account different price points to meet our budget, all of which were beautifully curated. Our third and final meeting was my favorite! During this time, Kelly, Lynn and Emily had our table set up that would look just like our wedding! WOW this was the best day. Seeing all of your dreams come to life was spectacular. From here, they were able to change out different aspects of the table we wanted to revise, see what we loved and what different options would be from the smallest things such as silverware, chargers, how napkins were placed to the larger details of the actual flowers that would be at the event! I will attach pictures to this review to show you the magic they set up in their showroom that day. One of my favorite parts of working with Bella Flora is not only their personalization and connection they had with us, but the endless options and possibilities we had when we worked with them! Their showroom is nothing short of fabulous and has everything for any style of wedding to make your vision come to life. The day before our wedding, Emily took time prior to the wedding to ensure that my bouquet was exactly how I wanted it and was willing to make any changes as needed. She showed me how to hold it in pictures and made me feel comfortable about the care of my bouquet on our wedding day! On our wedding day, I came down from the bridal suite to the most magical hallway filled with all of the florals that were carefully designed for my vision. I said to Emily that this was a “Magic Hallway” and her response was “This is your magic hallway Laura!”. Kelly gave me the biggest hug and the excitement that they had for me on my big day just radiated in all that they did! From the dance floor, perfectly curated florals, amazing tablescapes, cake florals, personal touches, and more. This team is truly unmatched and really were the “fairy godmothers” that made each of my dreams come true! Thank you to Kelly, Lynn and Bella for ALL their dedication in making my day a success.

Going to Weddings By Design to find my wedding dress was the best decision I could have made! Jan was my consultant and she was AMAZING! I went in with an idea of what I wanted and she helped pick dresses that fit that idea, as well as some to give different styles a try. Jan was never pushy, even when encouraging me to try on different styles than I thought I would like. She made the experience so fun and I felt no pressure and at ease the whole time. She reminded me that if I didn’t like something, I could just take it off. Jan encouraged me to try on a dress that was beautiful and that’s the one I ended up choosing! I would recommend Weddings By Design to anyone who is looking for a fun, no pressure, and amazing experience when finding their dream dress!

Doug perfectly captured our engagement session and wedding day! He was years of experience and offered amazing, affordable, and all inclusive packages! He does not skimp on time, ideas, and images! We love his rich, saturated photograph style and we will be going back to him for family photos in the future!
