I had an exceptional experience with Zoya Atelier for my wedding dress alterations. I purchased the Nile by Kyha, a fitted silhouette with full beading, and was nervous about getting it altered, especially since beading can complicate the process. My dress was very large from the waist up as I had purchased it a few sizes larger to fit my hips, which made it quite a challenge.
Throughout every appointment, they took the time to walk me through what to expect and kept me updated on the progress. I was always involved in the process, trying on the pinned alterations to ensure they were on the right track before moving forward. They added built-in bra padding, a corset, and boning—things that weren’t originally included in the dress—making the fit both comfortable and flattering.
I am so pleased with the final result. Zoya’s Atelier truly brought my dress to life, and I highly recommend them if you have a dress that requires extra attention to detail. They handled my dress with care and made it fit perfectly. -

Zoya’s shop is the wedding dress experience you want to have. I went twice to try on dresses and both times had most of the shop to myself. The team there is amazing to work with, Zoya really knows her stuff about fabric quality and how to fit dresses. It was so comforting to know that the place where I bought my gown was also doing the alterations. I never once worried about the fit of my dress or if I would get it on time. I truly felt like family every time I stepped into the shop. -

I came into Zoya's and was feeling very overwhelmed with dress shopping. It was the second store I went to and really thought I wanted a specific type of dress. Doris suggested I branch out a bit and try on some other dresses that maybe I wouldn't normally try. Thank god I did because the dress I said yes to was not on my wedding dress bingo card. She truly made me feel heard and seen and like a bride. She was so patient and pulled veils without me asking. She also gave me earrings to try when I found "the dress." I had two other appointments so we left the store but after my last appointment I called back and they got me in right away (my family doesn't live in the DMV and I knew I was ready to say yes to the dress). It was the best experience. The dresses are expensive though so make sure you're clear about your budget! -

One of a kind experience
After you get engaged, you know when you imagine in your head a fantasy, romantic, amazing bridal experience of trying on dresses without any stress and finding THE one with an abundance of joy and bliss? You also know how that's usually a big pipe dream? NOT AT ZOYA'S!
Zoya's Atelier was the very first bridal dress boutique we made our way to and I'm so glad that is where we started because we truly had a 5-star experience. From the moment we entered the atelier, we were treated like the only and most important clientele- there was no one else in the shop and we were made to feel not only comfortable, but also valued.
Amy and Doris were absolutely amazing at pulling gowns that matched what I said I wanted (A-line, no huge lace, sparkle, beading, or sequin detailing) and what they thought would also match the vibe and my body well. I wanted a classic (soooo many bridal boutiques now are busting at the seams with over the top lacy and sparkly dresses) gown with *some* fun/romantic details and that is exactly what I got. Amazingly, the very first gown at Zoya's ended up being the one!!! I know this is isn't everyone's experience and that it sounds too good to be true, but I fell in love with the very first one Amy helped me into- she pulled this gown specifically for my vision in mind and I was blown away by how gorgeous and perfect it was for me. She made me feel special and validated my feelings as well as taking the extra time to accessorize each gown to see it in all its glory.
Since I wanted to make sure this dress was definitely the one and not jump the gun, we were encouraged by Amy to continue with the appointments at other dress stores and then come back for a 2nd appointment if this was indeed the dream dress. Zoya's understood completely my love for but hesitation in immediately going with the first gown I tried on. Every other store we went to was not even close to the level of service and experience that Zoya's provided. And because of that, I was not stressed that no other gown came close to *the one* because I knew it was waiting for me!
After pulling the trigger and saying yes to the dress at Zoya's, every follow-up appointment was lovely, comfortable, and stress-free. Zoya's did stunningly perfect alterations for the dress and it fit my body like a luxury glove for my big day.
I had such a special experience with Zoya's and have no doubt that my experience was not unique- they make all brides feel so exceptional. On my day, far and away the most repeated compliment that I kept receiving was on the dress- gorgeous, stunning, unique, amazing, one of a kind, perfect, and spectacular were some of the words used. It truly set the tone for the day with how distinctively striking the dress was. It was, and will always be, my absolute dream dress. I can't believe I only get to wear it once.
So much gratitude and love to Zoya's- I will never forget my experience with you. It is far and away the best and most ideal, quintessential wedding gown experience in the DMV (and beyond)!!! -

My mom and I went to Zoya’s as our first and last stop as I searched for the perfect wedding dress. The dress selection is fantastic, and their team is so wonderful. On my initial visit, I worked with Amy, who was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. She took our feedback on each dress and found the perfect combination of everything I was looking for. For my fittings, I worked with Adele and the alterations team. It was incredible watching as they shaped the dress perfectly for my body and height. I highly recommend going to Zoya's for your own special occasion! -

I found my perfect wedding dress from here, and they helped me so many times!! Also, they did the perfect alternation job!!
They have most likely British Designer wedding dresses, and I chose "Suzanne Neville".
I tried like 10 dresses from the same designer and the worker was very helpful! They gave me very nice advice each time, so that I could choose the most I wanted one :)
I did the fitting for 4 times, so you need to make an appointment each time, please get your day off!
The dress is handmade so it takes a while. If you want to buy it, you might need to wait like 6-7 months. (Depends on what you order.)
I really appreciate what they did, I really love my wedding dress so much!

The search of where to find a wedding dress was quite the task and finding Zoya's Atelier was a true gem to have found. Zoya's was the first dress shop I visited and the last! I had such an amazing experience and found my dream dress that first visit to Zoya's. My mother and I were treated wonderfully from the minute we walked in the shop until the minute we picked up my dress the week of my wedding. Amy and Zoya are both incredible to work with and have a way of making you feel special. They are so kind and involved throughout the entire process from helping pick out your gown to being right by your side through every alteration appointment. I never even thought about taking my gown elsewhere for alterations and the alterations they did on my gown were magic. They really cared to make sure everything was perfect. It was the absolute dream process and went well beyond the expectations I already had. Zoya's gives 5-star service from the time you walk in the store until your wedding day. I loved working with them so much I am sad it is over! Thank you, Amy and Zoya! -

I went to a few different bridal stores in the DMV and Zoya's Atelier was hands down my favorite! The attention to detail was amazing. Before walking out in any dress I tried on they made sure it was pinned and placed perfectly and accessorized everything so I felt like a bride. I have always hated shopping and was nervous about dress shopping but after working with all the ladies at Zoya’s I was at ease and felt so beautiful. Everyone that worked there cared about me finding the right dress and not just making a sale. I loved my experience at Zoya's Atelier!

It was a wonderful experience finding my wedding dress at Zoya’s Atelier. The shop is full of carefully curated, absolutely gorgeous dresses. The best part of the experience was the attention and care that Zoya’s team devoted to each appointment that I had with them. Zoya gained my mom’s trust through her impeccable taste and sharp eye for detail and design. She provided honest feedback while also being understanding and empathetic throughout the entire process. The alterations team similarly took great care with gradually tailoring the dress and ensuring that it would fit perfectly on the wedding day. Where do I even start?! I loved every minute of my experience at Zoya’s Atelier and especially that I got to work with Zoya herself! I made an appointment for a trunk show event to try on a specific dress I’ve had my eye on since the designer published it in their new collection. After having been to a few other bridal shops and not finding anything special or really feeling like it was a true wedding dress shopping experience, I came to Zoya’s. Best decision ever. She sat down with my mom, sister and I and went over the form I filled out, the store layout, and our favorite part was how they do the alterations in-house! Zoya is calming, friendly, a perfectionist (we love that!) and as another reviewer said - truly like a fairy godmother. I would trust her with anything! She set aside the dress I came in for to be the last to try on, she picked a few dresses she thought would look good on me and we picked a few I thought I’d like. The first dress she put me in was her pick and it was STUNNING! Something I never would’ve picked for myself but I truly felt beautiful in it, the fabric was airy and light and a one of a kind dress. So that first dress became the one to beat as we tried on the others that just didn’t have the wow factor… until the last dress. The one I’ve had my eye on. I really didn’t expect to have “that feeling” that everyone refers to when you find the one but I did. I teared up a bit and really truly felt like wow, this is so me. It was a really tough choice because I also loved the first dress too! Zoya asked all the right questions, she was a true advocate for helping make the best decision for me and how I felt. So we took some time to think about it, made another appointment for a few days later to bring my parents in to see both dresses and make my decision. One thing that stuck with me was Zoya said to “go with the dress you’re most excited about” and let me tell you, I did not stop thinking about that last dress, I looked at the photos of it online multiple times a day and was so excited to put it back on!! We came back in, put both dresses on and I just knew it was the one. They had a champagne toast for us to celebrate, took a few photos with the Zoya’s Bride sign and had my measurements taken. At both appointments, I never felt rushed like I did in the other shops, it’s a big decision to make so I greatly appreciate the time taken to ensure I knew I was making the right decision! And with that being said, I know I made the right decision on the dress but more importantly to become a Zoya’s Bride! I trust the entire team and cannot be more excited to experience this journey with them! Thank you so much! 💕 -

Absolutely Amazing!
Zoya’s was the first bridal shop I went to and I found my dream dress at that very first appointment. The minute I put it on, I knew it was mine.
Every appointment was a dream. Zoya, Amy, Adele and the entire alterations team are all such nice, kind, attentive people. They made me feel welcome and beautiful at every step of the process. Their attention to detail is unmatched. They were noticing things at every appointment and altered my dress all the way up to the moment I took it home.
The most amazing thing was how personal everything felt. I couldn’t have asked for a better bridal shop experience!! -

I was only in the DC area for a few days and on a time crunch to find a dress and booked my appointment at Zoya's last minute the night before. I had already gone to 4 dress shops and gotten super discouraged after finding nothing I loved. The second I walked into Zoya's I knew I was going to find a unique and amazing dress there, which I did. Everyone was so incredibly patient and they made me feel so special throughout the appointment. My appointment went almost an hour longer than expected and I never felt rushed by anybody at the shop. They also had a lot of different price points for dresses to choose from. I was so relieved and excited to find a stunning, unique dress and I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place! -

I cannot stress how much I LOVE Zoya's. Amy and Adele (and of course Zoya!) made the experience so special from start to finish. A week prior to my appointment I received a welcome box with masks, hand sanitizer, a pen, and a note! I LOVE all things boutique and unique and they absolutely made the experience just that. They have a very thoughtful selection of dresses - I was on a short timeframe and was worried about finding a dress. However, I quickly found one I loved but wanted it strapless - Zoya and team redesigned the entire dress for me - adding boning to every inch of the bodice of the dress. They easily accommodated me for extra fittings when requested and made each fitting so special. At the end of the experience when I was able to bring the dress home, they tucked away a little note and good luck charm in the dress bag. They personalized each and every touch of the wedding dress experience and I could not be more thankful to have found them. -

An Incredible Experience
My best friend is getting married this year. Bridal shopping hasn’t been the easiest for her given the current circumstances with COVID. I had got married the year before, and my experience was incredible with a boutique in Nashville. I didn’t have to deal with all of the regulations that she has had to. I wanted something that was still going to provide an experience for her, and Zoya’s went above and beyond. I appreciate them creating such a wonderful environment for her at her appointment. She ended up picking a gorgeous dress and felt absolutely stunning.
The women here are so knowledgeable and non judgmental. This is what an appointment should be like even during these difficult times. Brides need to be heard and want to feel special! Thank you all for being amazing at what you do!

Happy Corona Bride
I started shopping for my dream dress pre Covid and Zoya’s did it right! Their selection and service was amazing. I may be biased because I found “The One” there, but it was more than that. You could tell that everyone genuinely cared and that care crossed over into Covid times when a Corona Bride like myself needed it most.

Personal Experience
This was the first place I went to try on wedding dresses, and it was a nice experience. Amy was very patient and helpful. She made sure I had time to look at the dresses alone and decide what I liked about them each before showing them to my mom and sister. I ended up coming back a few days later to try on a dress and decided to go with it even though it was more than I wanted to spend. All of my fittings were during the pandemic. Amy was helpful, and the tailors did a great job making sure I fit in the dress perfectly. I brought in a piece of my grandmother's wedding crown, and they were able to sew it onto the veil--it looked perfect and was a great tribute to her. The team also took pieces of lace from my dress and sewed them onto a white mask I bought for no charge. I got so many compliments at my wedding on the dress and the mask. Finally, Amy gave me a six pence to wear in my shoe on my wedding day, which is apparently a British tradition. It was a great, personal touch after a wonderful overall experience. If you can afford a slightly more pricey gown, this is the place to go. Everyone is so accommodating and kind, and Amy does a great job calming any nerves and making sure you feel great in your dress. -

Wonderful team and shop
If it is within your budget, I couldn't recommend purchasing your gown from Zoya's more highly. From my first visit to the shop on my first day of dress shopping, my experience was wonderful from the outset - Zoya generously shared her time, expertise, and candid opinions as I started my dress search, the dress selection itself is fantastic and unique, and their team is simply wonderful to work with. From their kindness to my mom during our visits to having clear and strict COVID protocols, Zoya, Amy, Adele, and Luvia were kind, professional, and skilled at every step. I felt like I was in the best of hands navigating wedding planning during what is now a quite challenging time to plan a wedding. In the end, I had a gown I loved and felt beautiful in, and wonderful memories from the experience getting it. So grateful to have selected their team. -

After going to many other stores that made me feel rushed, judged, and hopeless, I finally discovered Zoya's and never turned back. The atelier shop is not pretentious or overwhelming - it feels like home and the quality of the dresses speak for themselves. My favorite part of working with the Zoya's team was the private appointment experience. No other clients were ever booked during my appointments (before and during covid), which I really loved. It felt like I was their most important customer every time. I also loved that Zoya & Amy personally knew the designer of my dress from London, which gave me extra confident in their professional opinions and ability to execute perfect alterations. I have already recommended Zoya's to a best friend (who also happily found her dress there) and will continue to encourage all brides shopping for their dream dress to put full trust in Zoya's to help you with this special shopping and alterations experience. Highly recommend!
Zoyas Atelier absolutely saved the day by helping me find my dream wedding dress. Cannot say enough good things!
I was in the “getting married during the coronavirus” boat... and was in a panic trying to find a dress I felt pretty in for my small, intimate wedding.
I had seen in the news that Zoya was doing virtual fittings. I called them and explained what I was looking for and the short time table I had to find it...
Spoke with Adele who immediately made me feel at ease (even though my wedding was right around the corner). She scheduled a virtual fitting right away and helped me safely find and try on my dream dress (even during a pandemic)!
I am so extremely grateful. Truly cannot day enough good things. I can only imagine the magic they can do when we aren’t in a global pandemic ♥️ -

Excellent Experience
I wish I could shout my recommendation for Zoya's Atelier from the mountain tops! From start to finish it was an amazing process. Amy helped me pick out my dream dress and Zoya and her team tailored it to my body perfectly. I felt beautiful in the dress every minute that I was wearing it. I would go to fittings and I never wanted to leave their store! Amy Bitici knows her stuff! She helps find the perfect dress for you with honesty and a huge wisdom of her craft. My husband and my father burst into tears the second they saw me in the dress. There are dresses for multiple budgets, and for every woman! I would highly recommend! -

The best part of planning my wedding
I wish I could give them more stars. Zoya’s was the best wedding partnership and experience out of every single element of my wedding planning process. I could write a love story about them, but to make this review as helpful as possible for any bride, I am going to bullet it out below:
1. Environment: you feel at home the second you walk into Zoya’s. Partly because of the building itself and the aesthetic they create, but more so for their friendly staff. Their people are everything. Overall, they provide a very high end experience with a casual and comfortable feel.
2. The service: it was so refreshing to work with a salon with strong systems and processes. It was actually one of the last studios I visited and I wish it was the first so I could understand what a well run salon should look and feel life. They are THE BAR. Everything was incredibly organized and personalized, versus some other salons that felt like a factory churning out dresses and brides. They keep an intimate setting and are appointment only so you don’t need to fight for attention during your consultation.
3. Their gowns: they carried the most beautiful designers. I walked into a lot of salons that fit my price range but NOT the quality I was looking for, this was the first that did both. They also carried a very wide range of styles. There is something for everyone here!
4. One stop shop: they do everything! They obviously have a wide selection of bridal gowns, but in addition to that, they had beautiful evening wear, accessories of every kind, and do all their alterations in house with a phenomenal team. Not only did they take care of me, but my mother also got her gown from here as well. It was such a fun experience for us to do it all together!
5. The alterations: one of the things I was most anxious about were the alterations. I have heard horror stories of prices and poor quality. Zoya and her team are ridiculously talented! This is a place you can trust to do what you ask and also not over charge you for every change you need to make. Once my dress came in, they did an assessment of the potential changes and set the price up front! It was so nice to not have a bill every time we came in and for them to honor the price set up front. Also, they even do made to measure here!!
6. The people: they are highly educated, professional, caring, talented, supportive and kind.
Zoya is incredible, I don’t even know how else to describe her aside from calling her a magician!! She is extremely qualified and has a ton of experience with alterations, she has a perfect eye and made all kinds of recommendations for my alterations and changes to my dress that I didn’t even imagine, she made my gown fit like a glove. You can’t underestimate the value of her eye!! She was so patient with me and really helped me navigate the changes. It truly was a custom experience at a very reasonable price considering the amount of changes and attention she gave to my gown. I couldn’t believe it. Zoya made my gown and my mother’s gown PERFECT.
Then there is Amy. Amy was the first person I interacted with at Zoya’s and she made me feel like her best friend right off the bat! She was a great listener, helped me sort through all the thoughts and ideas in my head to find the perfect pieces for ME, she did not push me she just guided me which was very refreshing. She was extremely knowledgeable about the designers and the options for changes. She was a phenomenal communicator and was always very transparent on pricing, alterations, turnaround time, etc. such a small thing, but I’m telling you, it is not like that everywhere. Not going to lie, at times she was even my therapist. I cannot imagine going through this stressful process of wedding planning, even things outside of the dress, without Amy. She was a rock for me and constant calm every step of the way. Completely above and beyond and far exceeded my expectations.
To wrap this up, GO TO ZOYAS YOU WILL NOT FIND ANYONE BETTER!!!

I had first been to Zoya's Atelier when my best friend was getting married. They helped her find the most beautiful dress and were lovely throughout the whole process. So when it was my turn to go shopping for wedding dresses I knew I had to go to Zoya's as well.
The process of trying on dresses was something I was extremely nervous about due to fears of not liking myself in any dresses. Amy and Zoya immediately left me feeling comfortable and supported while trying on various styles of wedding gowns. There is a body positive atmosphere in the atelier and Amy has such an empowering way of supporting each bride find their dress.
Once I had my dress, communication and coordination for fittings was easy and seamless. We were able to book those appointments enough in advance for my mom to travel from SC to be there with me as well. The alterations were amazing an the dress fit me like it was molded specifically for my body.
I can't thank the team over there enough for a fabulous experience and would highly recommend them for any bride to be! -

Best Shopping Experience and Beautiful Gowns!
My mom and I went to Zoya’s as our very first stop dress-shopping, and no other shop even came close to the level of service, warmth, and unique dresses we experienced at Zoya’s. Amy discussed our wedding vision with us and let us look at dresses at our own pace, without feeling rushed. She also provided great feedback on what silhouettes would look good on me and why this was the case. We ended up purchasing the gown of my dreams!! They ran behind on my alterations but October is always a very busy month for weddings. On the wedding day, my bustle loop broke while dancing and the fabric on the hem frayed during our first look, so I’d recommend asking for reinforcements on your bustle and hem. Nonetheless, Zoya and Amy made me feel like a part of the family and I felt so confident and glamorous on my wedding day! I can guarantee you will not find a better atelier than Zoya’s. -

From the moment my now-husband and I met Amy at the Eagle Bank arena wedding expo on 1/12/19 until I picked up my wedding gown on 10/24/19, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Zoya’s Atelier! I had gone to visit another bridal boutique before going to Zoya’s, but as soon as I set foot inside the atelier, I knew I was never looking back! Although I did not really have a clear vision of what kind of gown I wanted, Amy was very helpful in helping me select the perfect gown for me, namely the “Ireland” gown by Sottero & Midgley in ivory. She was also very helpful in personalizing my gown. For example, I opted for the button-down back with the hidden zipper instead of the corset-laced back. Moreover, Amy suggested having the detachable cap sleeves the gown already comes with connect to one another in the back to create a keyhole effect, which I loved and was very unique. Once my gown was ordered, I began working with Zoya herself, who was also a pleasure to work with during all of the fittings. Her expertise with wedding gowns was clearly evident and she got my gown to fit beautifully and give me curves I didn’t even know I had! She, along with my mother and matron and maid of honor, also helped select the perfect veil to accompany my gown! My breath was taken away upon seeing myself in my gown and veil at my last fitting! I am extremely happy I went with Zoya’s! Although they have a wide-range selection of gorgeous gowns hanging throughout the atelier, you can clearly see each one of them without struggling to squeeze your way through a cluttered sea of mish-mashed gowns like the other boutique I had visited beforehand. The atelier’s open-concept floor plan gives it a very elegant yet comfortable feel where you don’t feel overwhelmed. In addition, I love that they only operate by appointment to avoid being bombarded by brides-to-be all at once, which allows the staff to pay close attention to each client. My experience with Amy, Zoya, and their assistants showed me that everyone at Zoya’s is very professional and courteous. I highly recommend them not only to those looking for their bridal gown, but also to those who are looking for unique gowns for other special occasions since they also offer a variety of other gowns on top of their bridal selections. You won’t regret it! -

Best bridal boutique
Zoya’s was my first and last stop for finding the perfect wedding dress. From the moment I arrived, I KNEW this family-owned bridal boutique was exactly what I was looking for. Amy and her team welcomed us with open arms, then sat with us to get a better sense of what I needed. Although I was fairly certain I wanted a mermaid style dress, Amy suggested I try a few different styles just in case. I’m grateful that she did, because I ultimately ended up going with a fit and flare style. Amy took the time to tell us about the different designers and styles they carried, then described how the store was organized and what we could expect in terms of price point for each section. Once she saw the types of dresses I was grabbing off the racks, she even brought me a few additional dresses that met my criteria. By the time I tried on the fourth dress, the tears started flowing and I knew it was the one. To make sure, I still tried on about four or five more, and Amy and her team were so patient while I was trying to make my final decision. I never felt pressured, and they offered very insightful feedback that helped solidify my decision. Zoya’s alterations were impeccable, and I couldn’t have been happier with the way it turned out. They have a great selection of dresses for a variety of budgets and they really do strive to make you feel special throughout the whole process! Zoya personally opened the store for me and made me try on every dress with accessories to really give me a true feel for each dress! So happy I found Zoya’s!
I had been to a few salons and although the dresses were all beautiful, I always felt like something was missing. I’m so happy my bridesmaid brought me to the Arlington Bridal Expo where I met Amy. From the first time I met her, she was so warm, welcoming and so ready to help me make find the right dress for me.
The salon is beautiful and lined with gorgeous dresses without being overly crowded. They never make you feel pressured to say yes to any dress unlike most of the other places I had already been. They mold each dress to flatter your body so you can get a good sense of what you’ll look like the day of.
When I finally found my dress, I cried. I had been searching all along for what what missing and I found it at their shop. They happily celebrated with me and then the real fun began.
I had some extra ideas because I love bling but I didn’t want anything too gaudy. They made perfect recommendations for accessories and elements to add the sparkle. For the alterations they made sure to bring my vision to life while still keeping the integrity of the dress.
Zoya brought my wedding vision straight out of my dreams into reality.... and then they made it even better than I could have ever imagined.
I am SO HAPPY that I found Zoya’s and definitely recommend them! -

I was probably one of the few brides that shopped for their dress more than a year out from their wedding, but I am glad I did. I had gone to a few other salons with girlfriends who had gotten married but I wanted my experience to be a little more special. The atelier itself is beautiful, classy and elegant. From day one I felt like Amy was my friend, and more importantly a friend who gave me her unbiased, honest opinion and advice in choosing the right dress for me. She was not pushy or rude. She heard all my concerns and made helpful suggestions so that I felt confident with my gown decision.
The real experience was when my dress arrived and we had to make some additional modifications. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Between Zoyas vision and Chi's handiwork, together they made multiple modifications that had me feeling comfortable and beautiful on my big day and for that I cannot thank them enough. For those ladies who want a TRUE VIP experience with geniune experts, I HIGHLY reccomend ZOYAS ATELIER! -

Working with Zoya and Amy was so wonderful through every step of the process: from finding the right dress to deciding what size would be best for my body; from alternations to the final fitting, everything went so smoothly! Wedding dress shopping was actually enjoyable and stress free :)
From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in someplace different. First, the store feels like a house and all of the gowns have been thoughtfully curated. One of the aspects of wedding dress shopping that I was dreading was the sheer volume of options. By having Zoya and Amy already handpick designs, each unique and special in its own way, and then filtered again by my price range, it really facilitated the appointment so that I got the most out of my time. Did i mention that when you book an appointment it's only you and your guests? I can't emphasize enough how awesome that is and really exceptional to get such undivided attention with experts. I went with my friend a few months ago to a nearby bridal shop on a Saturday and it was madness. We actually got asked to leave so they could make room for the next appointment! I get it - space is limited - but it doesn't inspire confidence in us with the seller, especially when we're talking about spending lots of $$. Speaking of which, Zoya and Amy were incredibly respectful of my budget, and didn't show me anything outside of it unless I asked. That also didn't happen when I went dress shopping with my friend, who fell in love with a dress twice her budget (b/c the seller showed her one) and had to walk away disheartened :(
After my first appointment, I thought I had found my dress, but when I went online to further explore the designers that Zoya and Amy carry in store, I found a dress that I absolutely loved. I asked Amy if the store could get a sample for me to try on, and she said yes! I came in a few weeks later, and tried the sample on...it was a perfect match! Amy had to pay for the sample to be sent to the store, but didn't make me pay for that cost since I ended up purchasing the dress. Zoya and Amy then went to work figuring out what size would suit my body (I have curvy hips but narrow a waist/chest), and decided it best to order a size that fits my hips first and foremost. They found a complimentary veil and off I sent my order.
Fast forward about six months, and I came in for my first fitting. The dress fit like a glove and I felt so beautiful. I had the sleeves shortened and the bottom hemmed a few inches, nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of alternations. Then, at Amy's suggestion, I had cups sewn in. This was a great idea b/c it really filled out the silhouette of the dress and did away with any concerns about finding a backless/strapless bra.
Fast forward again to our wedding day, and my husband was SO blown away during our first look. He lovedddddd the dress so much and thought it was such a classic and sophisticated look. I couldn't have done that without Amy and Zoya's help in navigating all of the little things you need to consider when finding that right dress for you. Make an appointment now - you won't regret it!

Where do I begin? Zoya's was the best bridal experience I had, by far. I went to a total of 5 places (Zoya's, Bella Bridal, Ellie's, Kleinfeld, and a store in Minnesota) and Zoya's was the complete bridal experience I had always wanted. I first happened upon them when I found a Sottero and Midgley dress online that seemed like it was everything I could possibly want (sweetheart neckline, heavy beading, figure hugging, with some of the beautiful bodice detail spilling out onto a tulle skirt). When I scrolled down and saw that the dress was named The Jefferson (my maiden name), I knew I had to try it on! So I Google searched where in VA Sottero and Midgley dresses could be found and I happened upon Zoya's and a couple other places. None of these salons had the Jefferson in stock, but all offered to have it sent to their store (for a fee of either $50 or $60) so that I could try it on; if I ended up purchasing any dress from them, the $60 would go towards the purchase of the dress. I chose Zoya's over the other two boutiques because they had the best reviews, they were prompt to return my inquiries, and they had been featured in the "best of" category of a DMV bridal magazine. After having gone to 3 stores first, I went to Zoya's. They had the Jefferson ready and waiting for me! My 3 girlfriends and I were the only ones there and we were greeted by Amy, the bridal consultant (Zoya and Amy are mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, respectively). My friends asked beforehand if they could bring champagne and they said it was fine, so that made it a bit more fun. Now what made this the best bridal experience is that WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE, so we got Amy's full attention. There was soft music playing in the background (think Adele), a lovely seating area for the other ladies, and a relaxing atmosphere. I never once felt rushed, by the way. I would go into the fitting room with Amy, come out in the dress and stand on a pedestal in a private spot so I could say what I thought first, then come out and show it to the other ladies. I did try on 3 or 4 dresses, before I finally tried on the Jefferson. And this leads me to note that the selection of dresses they have is not very large. They rotate the dresses out, but there's never more than about 75 in stock (I could be off; I'm terrible at estimating). I knew what silhouette I liked and what look I was going for because I had already gone to other salons. Amy helped me into my dresses and as soon as I got into the Jefferson and my now husband's favorite song started playing over the speakers, I knew it was the one! Note: I did have to pay for the entire cost of the dress up front, was not expecting that, but I was ready and able to. I ordered my dress at the last possible second (placed the order with Zoya's in early October for a wedding in April), so we went ahead and scheduled my first fitting for February (when the dress was expected to arrive). Through my 2 fittings (conducted by Zoya, who's in charge of alterations), the purchase of my veil from Etsy, the purchase of my shoes, and a couple other random questions, Amy and Zoya were great. I found Amy personable, genuine and easy to talk to and I found Zoya to be like a mother figure, happy for me and proud of me. If you're looking for a personal, lovely bridal experience, this is the place to go! -

A Dream Come True!
Wow! Where do I begin? I guess I'll start by saying THANK YOU to Zoya and Amy for making the wedding dress process in its entirety just so smooth and painless. I met Amy at a Bridal Expo. It was February 2018 and my wedding was November 2018. I was just walking past the booth when Amy saw me peeking. Immediately she asked how I was doing, when my wedding was and what I was looking for. Something about Amy, she was just so genuine. She told me that I needed to come in ASAP to look for dresses since dresses do take a while to be shipped from the designer. I signed up right away. I ran home and told my mom about my time at the expo, specifically my meeting Amy and signing up for a dress fitting! I'll admit. I was not sure what finding a dress would entail so if my dress fitting at Zoya's was at 2pm, I made an appointment at a chain bridal shop for 9/10am. When I went to the chain store, I was not impressed. OMG! I was kind of hurt by my first bridal dress experience but the next stop was Zoya's. When my mom, sister and I walked inside, it was like a bridal shop in the movies. It was so beautiful. The dresses were hanging so amazingly and neatly on the wall. Amy was there to greet me. Again, she had that same genuineness and just an amazing spirit as she had a few weeks prior at the expo. She sat with us, asked me what I was looking for, etc. I wanted long, princess and sleeves. Amy let me look around. It wasn't long before my sister started tearing up when she pulled a dress from the wall. I saw it and began to tear up. Then my mom. I brought in about 3 dresses to the fitting area but tried on the one that made us all tear up first. It was the dress! After trying it on, that is when I met Zoya. Just like Amy she exuded such an elegance about her. She was so knowledgeable. I felt at home when I was there for less than an hour. Nothing else mattered. I was there, in my dress with my family - my mom, sister, Zoya and Amy. I had my dress. The measurements were conducted my Zoya. So knowledgeable! She would call out the measurements and though I had no idea what all the numbers meant, I knew she was so skilled and that was all that mattered. After my dress arrived a few months later as Amy told me at the expo (the standard time for a British designed dress) we began alterations. Every time I walked into Zoya's Atelier, whether it was Amy or Zoya who opened the door, again, I was at home. I had about 3 or 4 alterations sessions. Zoya has a true eye for detail and was always ten steps ahead of me in picking out areas that needed to be altered for perfection. I needed earrings and wanted a tiara. I found both right at Zoya's. Both Zoya and Amy are thinking not only about the dress but the entire look. Zoya TOLD ME that I needed to wear my hair simple and pulled back and not wear a bracelet. So, on my wedding day, I wore my hair simple, pulled back and did not wear a bracelet. I felt like a true princess. Throughout the wedding process, there is always an issue here and there. But, with my dress and jewelry, I never had an issue. I know I was in great hands. To Zoya and Amy, thank you for all you do! Thank you for making me feel special and like a true princess not only on my wedding day but since February 2018 when I was introduced to Zoya's Atelier! While I plan to be married forever, whenever I have a marriage renewal, I know where to find my dress. Holly Sent on 07/23/2018Zoya is a miracle worker! I bought my wedding dress with the promise that the neckline on my dress could be changed. The salesperson didn’t make the changes seems so major at the time. Apparently the bead work and netting was very difficult because the lady that she recommended couldn’t do it. I spent the next months scouring Virginia and Maryland for someone that could do the work. I literally went to dozens of places. I lost hope and I was running out of time so I decided to buy a new dress. As I started shopping for a new dress another shopkeeper recommended Zoya’s. I walked in a explained my situation. Zoya was so attentive and caring she told me to bring in the dress. She said “if it can be done I can do it”. She radiates confidence and competency! She broke down exactly what needed to happen. She cut the dress and got to work! No one would even come close to trying to change my dress because it was too intricate. Zoya is an amazing dress designer! My dress came out better than I could have imagined! My dress debacle left her with very little time to do such a huge job. She had to work her magic in about two months and she even finished early so I could get bridal portraits before the wedding. I can’t rave enough about Zoya! She is the best of the best!

I had gone to literally every bridal shop I could find, in search of a colorful dress. At one place I happened to try on a Suzanne Neville dress, and seriously considered buying it in white. So I investigated where I could try on more of the same designer, and found Zoya's is one of the few places that carries a full range of her dresses. Once I was in the salon, I told Amy that I wanted a colorful dress, and she mentioned she had a few Suzanne Neville evening gowns I could also look at for color. When I showed Amy the one from the website I was in love with, she had it in the store, and told me I could order a number of other silhouettes in the same beautiful fabric. I was stunned that this was possible, and it turned out absolutely amazing. I was shopping alone, and it was easy to use Facetime to include my mom in the process. No photos are allowed, so finding a way to have my mom involved from across the country was really important to me. I also really appreciated that Amy limited the number of dresses I could try on, so we could really focus on a silhouette and style that was right for me. Other places I felt like I got a bit overwhelmed with the number of options, but Amy really knows how to ensure you're making the right decision.
I ordered right before the pandemic, wedding was delayed significantly, but Zoya's was responsive throughout the entire process. Turns out I lost a TON of weight over the pandemic quarantine time period, so the dress needed to be significantly altered to fit. The alterations turned out wonderfully, the dress was gorgeous, and I wish I hadn't wasted my time on any other salon. The only drawback is the prices are higher than I really wanted to pay, and I thought the alteration cost was a bit high as well, but apparently that's what it costs to get the perfect dress for me in the perfect size. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Just start here, tell Amy what you want, and she'll find a way to make it happen. -

Zoya and Amy are amazing! I got my dream dress, and felt confident, with no second guessing through the whole process. Both women have a stylist's eye and helped me find my dress based not just on the styles I suggested, but the vibe of my wedding and my personality. In my first consultation, they each pulled a dress by the same designer that they thought best suited my descriptions, and were subtly taking bets on which I would prefer. In the end, it was a tie, as I ended up having MY dress made to incorporate the aspects I liked most from each dress. It still blows me away, Zoya sketched the dress and sent it to the designer, and I got to walk down the aisle in my perfect dress. On top of that, every interaction with Zoya and Amy felt attentive and sincere, they are extremely genuine and professional. -

The dress buying process was my favorite part. I went to over 15 stores trying on dresses. I knew exactly what I as looking for and was having a hard time finding it.
Zoya and Amy were great! I was able to customize the dress to make it what I wanted. I did end up spend a lot more than I wanted, but I loved my dress. I am glad I went with this dress. I was also please with Amy and Zoya's customer service. A lot of the other places I went were just underwhelming. It is nice that it is individually owned and operated by them versus some of the bigger wedding dress shops I went to that felt a bit more impersonal. -

I discovered Zoya’s when I was in the middle of my search for THE DRESS. No one seemed to have the selection of dresses in the style I was looking for. I walked in with a vision in my head that I had literally searched for from coast to coast. When I walked in, I saw my vision, hanging in all its glamorous, classic beauty.
Even more than the dress, Zoya’s made the dress just the first step in a full-service experience. They helped refine the vision that started with the dress and ended up with my bridal look--From which jewelry, tailored alterations, and to how to set the veil in my hair. I even got my rehearsal dinner dress there which was so unique-I got tons of compliments!
I knew I could trust Amy and Zoya’s opinion and that they listened to what suited me, and what was important to me. And boy did the final result take my husband's breath away!

I feel awful writing this review— I'm not one to trash hardworking people on what they are passionate about. That said, I felt like I had to post this to warn other brides.
I went to Zoya's because it's close to my house, and I saw good reviews elsewhere. I assumed that I would go with them, so I placed the $125 deposit knowing that it would ultimately go towards the cost of the alterations, so it was no big deal.
I went there and they were helpful— a little cold, but nothing to write home about. Then I got quoted $1,780 for alterations for a dress that I bought for $2,300. I had already been quoted $800 for identical alterations from the place I had bought the dress, so I was shocked to be quoted more than double here. I then called my wedding planner and she recommended another nearby place that quoted me $380 (again, for identical alterations). I can't imagine that, given the fact that my wedding planner and other friends have had great experiences with the $380 place, the service that Zoya's provides is more than 4 times better.
I called Zoya to politely ask for my deposit back, and she (as is her right) refused. Honestly I'd have nothing negative to say as it's totally fair to charge folks more for a service if you think it's better, but I'm concerned that they're taking advantage of brides because we feel pressured to purchase their (very expensive) service because of the deposit, and I felt like I should make sure that others are going eyes wide open into this.
Again, I'm sure they do great work— just know that it is much much more expensive than the alternatives. -

I could write an essay on how difficult this wedding gown store was to deal with after they sold and altered an Anne Barge gown that fell apart as soon as my daughter started walking around at her reception. The strapless bodice buckled on the sides and slipped down all night, creating embarrassing and uncomfortable bust exposure. The bustle buttons broke and had to be pinned repeatedly with ugly safety pins, so the bottom of the gown got filthy. The back zipper ripped from the seam when the dress was taken off. It only zippered properly at the beginning of the day with the bride’s skin extensively taped down, which the Zoya seamstress told us at the final fitting two weeks before the wedding was the best they could do. The bride didn’t gain or lose weight between purchase and wedding day, leading me to believe the salesperson ordered the wrong size originally and that the seamstress wasn’t capable enough to fix. Both of them constantly assured us that the back of the gown would fit properly. When I sought refund of the $1,300 dollar alteration cost, and provided photos of the damage and the bride wearing the damaged gown, Zoya insisted that the bride bring the gown back to them for an “investigation.” I said they could arrange to pick it up because she wasn’t going to drag a giant, trashed wedding gown on the several forms of public transportation required to get from her city home to their shop after the disappointment she’d been through. I live out of state or I’d bring it if I could. They refused to budge. So, please don’t use Elegance by Zoya. Their alterations and customer service are far from elegant.
