Sami catering is the best !!!!! He gave his all to our wedding. The food was AMAZING as was his service. The best best best best!!!

We worked with Charles Zami. Five stars in every category are well deserved. Guests raved about the food and presentation. Wonderful to work with during the planning of the wedding. Returned every call and text. Every detail we requested was carried out. We are so happy and grateful.

A big thank you to Joe Zami for organizing our event and setting everything up! The Zami family is professional and expert caterers, the most delicious food and accommodated all our needs. I know our family is hard to work with and is unpredictable, but through and through you all handled our event beautifully and with grace. Everything we threw at him Joe always says "no problem." Everything was perfect, everyone was impressed. Joe organized and coordinated masterfully. The chef Juan made delicious Moroccan style meals special for us and is a master chef. Thank you to all the Zami's, you run a wonderful business and we highly recommend your services and will run to you for all our events.
Amazing food and presentation, beautiful top quality desserts. We are still enjoying your delicious food and remembering your wonderful work!

Zami catered my older daughter's wedding and my son's Bar Mitzvah a year later. Everything was incredible. Morris and his brother were responsive and ready to do whatever we needed. We had many vegetarians at the wedding including the Groom's family and they were taking good care of with a huge range of choices at the smorgasbord and dinner plates that went way beyond the usual roasted vegetables. Everyone was happy and satisfied! Are comments about it being hard to make initial contact with them justified? Yes, you have to be persistent until you actually talk to them, but it is definitely worth the effort. I constantly recommend Zami Catering to friends. I couldn't use Zami for my younger daughter's wedding. Wish I could have!

Even though it was hard to get in touch with them in the beginning, after we sat down and agreed on everything we were very happy with the way they worked with us. They are easy to deal with, gave us everything we ordered and more. It was beautiful and delicious. We got great reviews from our guests and I Just wanted to say Thanks to all our great vendors! : )

I got great reviews on the food in our Wedding, and I was so happy to know that my guests had a great time. After the DJ it was the most important thing for us. We ordered all the fun and unique kosher goods and it looks like we were right with ordering many stations, with a variety of things for the older crowed and our young friends. I must say that Zami people really took care of us. We got married at the Hilton Garden Inn and the food was amazing, including all sephardic Jewish goodies, Sushi to die for - many guests told me , it was the best they ever had and the dessert table was just stunning, with everything we could possibly dream of.
Even though it was quite tough to get in touch with them in the beginning, we were very happy with their service and food. It worked for us

Zami catered our wedding, and the food & presentation were amazing. We didn't get to eat as much as we would have liked, (what bride and groom do?) but once the food was out, everyone spent the rest of the night raving about it. Zami even included some personalized touches in the desserts without telling us in advance, which was a nice surprise. The price was reasonable, especially for kosher food, and Joey was willing to be a little flexible with pricing to help us keep within our budget. The only weak spot is that they are slow to respond to communications during the planning, but Zami really brought it all together wonderfully in the end.

Excellent Food, Excellent Presentation

From the very moment we began working with Zami Caterers, we knew that we had chosen the correct vendor. Not only was the quote provided competitive with all kosher caterers, but their vision for the menu and presentation matched perfectly with what we were looking for. The Zami family understood exactly what we wanted from our wedding, and worked with us each step of the way to make it happen. David, one of the great members of the family, was extremely flexible in being able to meet with each and every one of the other vendors to come up with a seamless plan. When we walked into the venue on the wedding day, we were blown away. The room presentation was so classy yet also matched the warehouse/factory vibe of the venue so perfectly. We cannot exaggerate how much our guests have been raving about the food and the amazing variety of the buffet menu. And then the dessert was even better! It was really spectacular how Zami executed our vision. Please please book them for your wedding. I could not recommend them more highly.

From what I heard (since it's hard to eat at your own wedding), the food was really delicious and in the end, Zami does get most of it done. It was hard to get in touch with the Zami team and you have to go see him in person to get any sort of attention. They provide a bigger menu than most other kosher caterers but i don't believe that they delivered everything that was on the menu for the desserts and the cocktails. Their pricing is better than others so for what it's worth, its a good value.

Terrible weasels

Don't deal with these weasels. My daughter's party was cut short by an hour because he told servers to put out desert an hour early in violation of the contract. I firmly believe it was his passive aggressive retaliation because a day before the party he tried to sneak in additional charges which weren't supposed to be there. He clearly never listens to the customer. Weeks before he had people count and charged for more people than present. Charged extra for the cake which was supposed to be included. Of course it was my mistake to pay him upfront the day of the event, a mistake I will not make again

Here's the problem with Zami, while his food is good and prices are good, his atitude is TERRIBLE. He cancelled a meeting the day of and acted like I was in the wrong for being mad. I had rearranged my day for that meeting. He was impossible to get a hold of and when I would reach him he acted like I had no right to ask questions and was always snippy when I called. I thought it was just me worrying too much and he came highly recommeneded by the venue manager. I realized too late who I was dealing with. I tried to find another caterer, but didn't have enough time. On the day of the wedding the waiters took away untouched plates of food while guests were dancing. Almost none of my guests had a chance to eat the appetizer and half didn't get a chance to finish the entree. I had people go home hungry. There are caterers that charged $10 more pp, but I'm almost positive would not give you the same BS attitude. Pay for food that your guests will actually get to eat. They also didn't set out chairs and tables when asked and they didn't expand the cocktail section like thay said they would. Avoid Zami.

Update: My mother called Zami to complain about the wedding service and spoke to the manager Anna who said she would try to arrange for a partial refund. My mother never got a call back and when she called she either got the message machine, got his wife who said Zami would call back (and of course never did).

Update: I recently sent the caterer an email letting him know i was done trying to contact him and would just be giving his business a negative review. He called me back a few days after that and it was actually my husband who spoke to him. Zami said he would get back to us in a few days, but of course never did.

Guys please don't waist your money food is untasty at all , not even look good. Then they microwave it amd its start smelling. Stay away , don't spoil your event.

Not for me

Even though Joey is friends with my brother, it was very difficult to get him to call me back to discuss my granddaughter's Bat Mitzvah but it finally worked out and it was ok. I tried again lately and I contacted Joey, Morris, Charles and David and I asked if they are available to work on my 2nd granddaughter's party for her Bat Mitzvah. Charles responded and said sure and I should call him the next day. When I called at 10ish, he said that he's almost at the office and he'll call me in 5 minutes and not more than half hour. That night he sent an email saying that he had an emergency, could he call me the next day and I said sure. That was 1 week ago and I heard nothing from him. I refuse to call again and I feel Charles is acting just like his father Joey. I could not do business with a family that treats me with such disrespect.

Horrific experience. Nothing was the same as promised on proposed menu. Staff was super late and disorganized.

I had a terrible time trying to get in contact with Zami Catering, I had four contacts, but I couldn't get any of them to call me back, repeated text messages, voice mails, emails all went unanswered. When I finally got one of them on the phone he said he counld'nt talk at the moment and he would try to call me back, but "He's not making any promises." True to his word he never called me back. At that point I was so fed up I just went with another caterer. I have zero confidence in Zami.
