Woodcliff is the most beautiful wedding venue in Rochester. The location is prime and you just can't beat the view. The event center is massive and is a blank canvas for your imagination to go wild! The wedding coordinators are top tier and are willing to accommodate and do whatever necessary to ensure that your dream wedding becomes reality. The convenience of having the hotel right there is a great perk! The communication was easy and during a stressful time of wedding planning, this aspect was extremely important. The staff are friendly and treat you with so much kindness. It was worth every single penny!!

We chose to have our wedding reception and ceremony at the Woodcliff hotel and spa to keep everything together and as easy as possible. The entire staff at Woodcliff made our day amazing. Everyone was so nice, helpful and easy to work with. From day 1 when we went to look at the site through check out after our wedding we felt special and well taken care of. You are met with a smiling face every moment you are inside the Woodcliff. We couldnt have asked for a more perfect day and would recommend this venue to anyone!

We are so happy that we chose The Woodcliff for our wedding. First, the entire staff was so kind, friendly, and accommodating during not only our reception but also the days leading up to it. Bri is the greatest wedding coordinator we could have hoped for. She was always available to chat and helps us navigate some last minute issues that occured days before the big day. She is thoughtful, reliable, and dependable. We owe our perfect reception to Bri because she made us feel calm and handled all of the little details. This allowed us to focus on each other and our family and friends. Our suite was AMAZING and we were more than comfortable. There aren't enough words to describe our wonderful reception experience with The Woodcliff. If you are looking for great food, beautiful photo locations, reliable/fun staff, elegant reception venue, and a reliable team. Look no further.

So far my experience is absolutely wonderful! Beautiful venue, awesome food and amazing people! The coordinators always got back to me ASAP with any questions that I had and checked in to see how planning was going and always offered what they could! So far would absolutely recommend this place!!

We had our wedding at the Burgundy Basin and shuttled guest to Woodcliff! They were very helpful and out room was amazing!

Dan is a new Events Manager at Woodcliff and he was wonderful to deal with. Everyone enjoyed their rooms and I have not heard one complaint or negative opinion. We booked a large suite for the bridal party and it was perfect for getting ready the day of. We were even able to do onsite outsides photos which were amazing. the ceremony and reception were off site so I can not really speak to that. One guest had a wardrobe malfunction and the housekeeping staff literally sewed her into her dress and the hotel shuttle brought her to the wedding. This was so sweet and above and beyond. Our guests utilized the hotel bar as an informormal after party and many enjoyed the Sunday morning brunch.

Howerever before Dan, I would have rated the booking and set up of the room block as 2.5 stars. It was impossible to get ahold of people and if by chance you did there was no follow up. Terrible customer service before Dan, after Dan I did not worry about a thing.

The Woodcliff provided a wonderful wedding experience for us! From Jenn, Daniel, Tori, Emily, and all the staff throughout our wedding we were treated like royalty! They made sure the day was beautiful and that we had everything we needed. The ballroom was beautiful as was the fall foliage. The suites we stayed in were large enough for our bridal party to get ready in comfortably! Our guests raved about the food, service, and scenery! Thank you Jen and all staff!

From the ceremony, cocktail hour to reception everything was perfect. It is obvious that Jenn enjoys her career and she does her job very well. She ensured every detail was taken care of prior to the wedding day and up to the day of the wedding. She is very organized and keeps a calm demeanor that I found very comforting. We are so pleased that we decided on Woodcliff as our venue. I have also received a lot of compliments above the venue from our guests.

Woodcliff provided a beautiful overlook view for our wedding ceremony and the ballroom was set-up perfectly for fun and mingling! The food was excellent from the salads to the meat/chicken choices and sides. Our wedding cake was one of the best we have ever tasted! Our guests all commented on how great the food and cake were. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous! A special thank you to Jenn, event coordinator, and Joann, banquet manager, for our special day!

Where do we start?! Woodcliff's staff and facilities surpassed any expectation we could have set for our big day's accommodations. Our wedding planner Jenn and banquet manager Emily were always calm, cool, collected, and had big smiles on their faces every time we saw them from our first tour to the actual day. Walking into the ballroom the day of literally brought me to tears. They even stayed up late the night before to tie sashes around chairs at the reception - something I asked of them very last minute. From start to finish, they executed all of our wishes flawlessly, and even provided some excellent suggestions to make the day more special. The morning of, the groomsmen got a complimentary round of golf while the bridesmaids got pampered in the beautiful Salon Elan right on the premises. I could not say enough about the entire staff's expertise in their areas. The bar and banquet staff provided outstanding service, and our guests raved about the food and cake provided by Woodcliff's chefs and bakers. Our ceremony was outside on a pretty hot day. The team did a wonderful job filling and refilling a water station outside for our guests to stay cool before the ceremony began. Everything was set up perfectly as well. Using the ballroom worked out exceptionally well for our reception, people were able to mingle on the patio and even walk down to lookout point for the evening's sunset. Our stay in the suite was perfect as well, we plan to spend many anniversaries at Woodcliff for years to come. This is such an exceptional place and now so special to us, you will not be disappointed with Woodcliff as your wedding venue if this is your choice!

Our coordinator Jenn was very accommodating and easy to work with, she even had a framed picture of our ceremony waiting for us in the honeymoon suite.
It was really convenient having the Woodcliff take care of the ceremony, reception, bar, housing, and after party. My girls got ready on-site at the spa; which required no transportation and one less vendor to have to think about!
The ceremony at look out point was beautiful, and we loved that our dog was able to be with us outside the hotel grounds. Our guests loved the food and party was a big success!!

It’s been Three weeks since our daughters wedding and we are still living in the fond memories and experiences at Woodcliff.
Euphoria in all our Indian guests of honour started the moment they drove up to the drive way &when they witnessed our country’s tricolour flag flying high. Right at the outset I would like to Thank Jennifer for being an amazing planner, extremely accommodating and empathetic to our needs.

We had three events at Woodcliff Hotel and Spa from May 4th through May 6th, needless to say, we and our guests felt like home and had a sense of belonging right from the start where we checked in to our rooms to host the events to check out in the end. The whole flow of events felt like the seamless process because Jennifer and her team were extremely cooperative, accommodating and engaging to make sure our events go smoothly as possible.
What surprised all our Rochestarian guests was that here exists such a great venue for Indian in the neighbourhood.

Woodcliff Hotel and Spa was amazing! They made the wedding planning experience so much better and we couldn't have done it without Jenn Kozak, Jenn was really flexable with scheduling meetings with us and was always so quick at responding to emails and great with any last minute changes we had. My Husband and I had looked at two other venues that didn't even compare to Woodcliff, for us the selling point was having everything in one location, it was really nice to be able wake up and walk down the hall to the spa where everyone was friendly and accommodating (they also did an amazing job!). The staff at Woodcliff went as far as to take the time to go up to someones office on the 4th floor and take a picture of our ceremony, have it framed for us and sitting in our room along with a couple of hockey pucks with a woodcliff sticker on them which was a very nice personal touch. Everyone that attending our wedding said it was one of the best weddings they have been to in a long time. There were nothing but compliments on the food which everything from appetizers to desert was absolutely delicious. I would recommend Woodcliff to any future bride and groom or anyone to just go for a night and I would definitely go back.

This was our second wedding at The Woodcliff....we were very happy. The whole day ran very smoothly and every detail was perfect! We heard from most of our guests, how delicious their meal was.... and the cake was wonderful! The spa was on top of the schedule for all the ladies. The day of the reception our wedding planner, Jenn - ran the night flawless. Thank you to Emily and Victoria also!

Words cannot express how GRATEFUL I am for ALL Woodcliff Staff, especially STEVE did to help make our wedding weekend a smashing success with staying at Woodcliff. My daughter's wedding reception at the Woodcliff was really perfect! Everyone who we worked with on the Woodcliff staff was always professional, friendly, accommodating and engaged, through the very end of the reception. What I think I noticed most, however, was that the entire wait staff and bar staff were always happy and working hard to serve the guests. We all often interact with individuals who work in "customer service" who really don't enjoy providing good customer service. That was not the case with anyone on the Woodcliff staff who worked at my daughter's reception. And the food, both the hors d'oeuvres and dinners, was outstanding. So many people commented on how good the food was.
In short, just about everything to do with the reception exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend the Woodcliff to anyone.

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful my experience was with the Woodcliff. My husband and I did a two-year engagement, but it went by pretty quickly. We booked the Woodcliff about six months into our engagement. Jenn Kozak is incredibly thoughtful, responsive, professional and thorough. She worked collaboratively with me, my husband and my parents to make our day truly special. Jenn was very knowledgeable and made sure she understood our goals and objectives for our wedding day.

The staff at the Woodcliff were also very professional for the big day as well as all meetings and correspondence leading up to our wedding. We had a great tasting prior to choosing our food as well as the tour of the rooms was great so we knew what our options were for both guests and ourselves. The perks of being the bride and groom were great as well - using some of the salon service and golf course for the men. The baker did an excellent job on our cake and it was delicious; each tier.

On the day of, the food was exquisite and having Jenn there made us all feel very comfortable - knowing we had the person we had worked with since the very beginning there to make sure all details were taken care of. From all the vendors we used for outside services, they also stated that the Woodcliff was great to work with.

You can't go wrong with the many options available for photography locations. The way the sun sets where the ceremony area is, is PERFECT!

The location of the Woodcliff is great being just outside the city of Rochester. The view of downtown is at the perfect angle to give guests a great view.

Having our wedding at the Woodcliff was a great experience-one that my husband and I will never forget! Jennifer Kozak and her team worked extremely hard to ensure everything turned out perfectly. Jennifer Kozak was amazing. I had three months to pull everything together from North Carolina. Not only was she flexible but did detail follow ups and ensured that I knew exactly where everything was as far as being complete. The wedding was stunning and the reception was great. However, the pre-work and execution of her and her team was something that just goes beyond words!!! Thank you to everyone for all the assistance and hand holding through the most important event for my daughter!!

Woodcliff was an amazing venue! Jenn and the other event staff were so accommodating, and there for us every step of the way. The views were beautiful and made for some great pictures, the food was delicious, everything was so well organized and our guests had a blast! Would definitely recommend this venue!

Jenn and the entire Woodcliff team created an amazing, intimate venue and event for our wedding. The menu included gluten free and vegan options so all of our guest were able to enjoy a fabulous meal. The catering staff was attentive and available throughout our event. Our plan was to have our ceremony outside, however mother nature was not so cooperative. Jenn provided several back-up options and monitored the weather for us. We had a beautiful wedding inside and a beautiful event.

There is only one word to summarize our wedding reception and weekend stay at Woodcliff Hotel and Spa, 9/30-10/2/16 – AMAZING! Some highlights:

Jennifer Kozak, Catering Sales Manager (Wedding Planner), was available from the start, several months before. She always made herself accessible for meetings and responded quickly to e-mails and phone calls. Her experience in behind-the-scenes planning and attention to detail was exceptional. Day of, she never missed a beat and stuck by us from reception set up early in the day, the ceremony, cocktails and reception. She is a resource that will prove to be invaluable.

Steve Minnamon, Sales Manager, handled all of the guest rooms and suite reservations. Again, he exceeded expectations. He made a recommendation to reserve a hospitality suite for the groomsmen to change in and guests could gather between the ceremony and cocktail hour. This proved to be an excellent and accommodating idea.

Food: We received many unsolicited comments from guests about the competent service and quality of food. “Awesome”, “delicious”, “best I ever ate” from passed and plated appetizers to crab cakes, wedge salad, tenderloin, fish and pasta entrees. Kudos to the wait staff for serving all plated items hot and quickly.

The weather was “iffy” and our preference was to have the ceremony outside at Look Out Point. Don’t miss this opportunity! The view is amazing and makes for an excellent photo backdrop. The ceremony was at 4pm and Woodcliff was able to wait until 3pm to make the final call to have the ceremony outside. An example of how Woodcliff is able to act quickly and efficiently.

In summary, do consider Woodcliff Hotel & Spa for any event that you can book with confidence. You won’t be disappointed.

Our wedding reception at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa was everything that we had envisioned our wedding day to be. The staff was extremely attentive to our needs and took care of us throughout the day. The room was absolutely beautiful and elegant. Our guests enjoyed themselves throughout the weekend and were very complimentary about their experience. My husband and I had the most amazing day ever! Not only was the wedding planning smooth and stress-free (especially since it was a destination wedding) but the staff on the day of were professional, courteous, and friendly. We did not have to worry about a thing! Jenn Kozack was a pleasure to work with and handled everything! The food and cake was delicious and everyone complimented on the freshness and taste! Our honeymoon suite was fantastic and I would/could not ask for a more relaxing and perfect wedding day! We plan on staying there every time we come back to NY. Thank you Woodcliff for everything!

The Woodcliff Hotel & Spa is such an amazing and beautiful venue. Amy Marriott was amazing to work with, so flexible, kind and made sure all of our needs were met. She was outstanding! Amy and the staff were pleasant and very helpful as well during the course of the night. She went above and beyond our expectations. The room was completely transformed and looked so beautiful. It was more than what we ever pictured it to be. The dining and food was out of this world. So many options to choose from as well. The ceremony area outside has breath taking views and sunsets. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, unique, and one of a kind experience.

Jenn was our coordinator and she was amazing. Fantastic attention to detail and super easy to work with. The banquet manager was also there the night of our reception making sure everything ran smoothly. He even pointed out a gorgeous sunset to us so we could run out and get a picture with it in the background. It was stunning. Our guests were thrilled and enjoyed the pool and brunch the next day. It was a fantastic experience.

We absolutely loved our wedding weekend at Woodcliff! We planned our Fairport, NY wedding all the way from Oklahoma- mostly through emails and phone calls with a random trip up every so often. We chose Woodcliff because of its convenience for our guests and its beauty. We had almost all of our guests from out of town, so having the hotel on site was perfect. They also have a salon and spa in the hotel, which was helpful for the day of getting ready. Some of our guests got to enjoy a few holes of golf on site too. The venue itself is gorgeous (we had our wedding outside overlooking the valley) and everyone we worked with was professional and kind. Jenn was our coordinator and she was THE best. She always responded to my emails and phone calls quickly and always had an answer for any question we asked! We were a bit short of our minimum needed to spend and the staff worked with us to ensure we got the best bang for our buck and catered it to our style. The day of the wedding we didn't have to worry about anything- everything was taken care of! Our family and friends raved about the beautiful scenery, the delicious food, and the super friendly staff. We don't have one single complaint! Woodcliff catered the event with a huge spread of amazing food and also designed the cake for us! We had such an amazing time and if I could do it all over again, I would choose Woodcliff every single time.

We had an amazing experience at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa for our wedding ceremony and reception! To start, the convenience of having everything in one place is unparalleled. My husband had a golf outing the morning of the wedding, my bridal party and I had hair and make up done at Spa Elan, guests from out of town had a convenient and comfortable place to stay, not to mention the ceremony and reception being on site as well! Our ceremony was held outside at Lookout Point, which was absolutely gorgeous! What a beautiful view! The reception was held in the ballroom, which comfortably sat our 130 guests. We chose the Premeir Served Wedding and got rave reviews about the food and beverages that were provided! My husband and I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly! The staff was exceptionally helpful the entire weekend we were there and made the whole day worry-free! We could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding! We would not have changed a single thing! We highly recommend the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa as an incredible wedding venue!

We had our wedding at Woodcliff in May and we were very happy with the whole event. We had 70 rooms blocked off, the bridal party used the salon, and we held our ceremony, reception, and breakfast there. Jenn was an amazing coordinator and she helped with the planning and organization of all of our events. She was so friendly and easy to work with. Jen in the salon did my hair and Leah did my makeup and I could not have been happier! Jeff was our banquet manager that day and he also did a tremendous job. Our friends and family were all complimenting how great the service was. Everyone also raved about the food- we had many appetizers that were all amazing and the served dinner was incredible. The pastry chef also made our cake which was exactly what we had wanted! We had to move our ceremony indoors very last minute and all of the Woodcliff staff helped to transform the space to make it perfect for a ceremony. I was disappointed about the ceremony change and Jenn was so kind and helpful. Jeff was really helpful and worked to transform the ballroom into a ceremony site. It ended up being so beautiful and special! We chose Woodcliff because we were planning our wedding from NYC and we knew the high quality of the hotel, the food, and the service that Woodcliff is known for and we were so impressed and happy with the experience! We are so glad we had our wedding at Woodcliff!

We recently celebrated our daughter's wedding with a reception at Woodcliff and would readily give 10's for quality of service, responsiveness and flexibility. I cannot say enough about our wedding coordinator, Jennifer, who went out of her way to make our day truly special. Her attention to detail was amazing. The day ran smoothly from the first bridesmaid hair appointment at 8:00am to the 5:00 cocktail hour to the opening of the banquet doors and the room meticulously staged as we had envisioned. Our guests were so impressed with their accommodations, the beautiful ballroom and the best wedding cake many had ever eaten! Kudos also to Steve M. who monitored our block of rooms, the entire Salon staff who provided their talented hair and makeup services, the banquet manager Jeff and the chef in the kitchen - we salute you all!

We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out. We're very big on food and the quality of it. Everyone has been to those weddings that are beautiful, but the food is eh. Not only did woodcliff make our wedding beautiful..but the food was to die for. the entire wedding ran super smooth and all we had to worry about was enjoying ourselves. We would reccomend this venue to anyone who wants to have a perfect day!

Using the Woodcliff as the venue for our wedding reception was the best wedding decision we made! We had the most amazing day and every detail was exactly as we had imagined. Jen, the catering manager, was fantastic in helping us get exactly what we wanted within our price range. She was very patient with us as our guest counts continued to change, we needed to order additional appetizers, etc. She was so caring; you could tell that she truly wanted us to have whatever we wanted and was passionate doing it. The banquet captain and her team on the day of the event were amazing! They treated my husband and I like royalty! Many guests commented to us about the care and attention the serving staff showed and how accommodating and helpful they were, particularly towards the younger children. Every ounce of food I put in my mouth was AMAZING!! My husband hasn't stopped talking about the bacon wrapped scallops, and every item on the display was delicious. Not to mention the cake- YUM!! Steve, the room sales manager, did an great job helping us book our room block as well as suites for my bridesmaids and I the night before and my husband and I the night of. We could not have asked for more perfect accommodations- Gorgeous! The bell staff was also so helpful and friendly helping us shift rooms and shuffle bags. The ladies at Spa Elan were great as well! It was so convenient and fun to have the salon on-site and they did an amazing job! My hair and makeup lasted so well and almost every guest commented on how beautiful my hair was! Kudos to Kirsten! Lastly, my husband and his crew greatly enjoyed their golf. They loved the opportunity to play all together and they enjoyed the course so much that many of them signed up for memberships! We could not have asked for a more prefect celebration- the Woodcliff is absolutely a top-notch venue and will do everything they can to make your event exactly as you pictured and more! Thank you SO much for the most perfect wedding ever!!

Our wedding is coming up in June; we booked with Woodcliff back in March. They were the first venue that we saw and we knew immediately that they were the one for us! They've been so accommodating and responsive since the moment we first walked through the door. We are enjoying every moment of our planning process and simply can't wait until our wedding day!

Everything from our first meeting at the Woodcliff to now has been so easy and thorough. We worked with Elissa for all of our wedding details. She thought of everything! I was able to feel like such an organized Bride because of her. The day of our wedding there were rain showers surrounding us and 2 hours before I was to walk down the isle I still didn't really know whether it was going to be inside or outside but it didn't matter because either location was beautiful. We ended up having it inside the ballroom and it was so intimate. We loved every second! All of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had (we agreed) and our families took full advantage of the new bigger dance floor. We worked with Steve on our Room block and he was so responsive. I did our own wedding flowers and when we found out our suite wouldn't be ready until the 3pm check in time (We were hoping for an early 1pm check in) he set us up with a hospitality room so we could all do the flowers in there. The wedding day went by so fast but everything went so smoothly. The staff rolled with any change that came up so easily. We were pleased with every step of our wedding and would recommend the Woodcliff to anyone.

From start to finish everyone at Woodcliff was absolutely fantastic. We planned our wedding and ceremony with them and everything went smoothly. We didn't have a care in the world on the day of because we knew Woodcliff was handling everything. We booked over 50 rooms at the hotel for the guests and everyone raved of the service and accommodations. I would absolutely recommend Woodcliff for the hotel and the ceremony and reception.

We chose the Woodcliff Hotel for my daughter's wedding room block. From the moment we pulled up to the Valet stand with two cars full of gowns, gifts and luggage I knew we selected the right hotel. The professional, hospitable greeting from Tom the bellman, Chris at the front desk and all the staff we encountered got the wedding weekend off on just the right note. The front desk graciously and accurately handled our guest welcome boxes. The housekeeping team responded to all requests and issues that come with hosting a wedding. From hairdressers need for power outlet cords, broken glasses that slipped from nervous hands to handing multiple roll-away beds were handled with grace and genuine desire for us to have a good stay. Our guests were pleased with our hotel choice and so were we. If you are planning a wedding and want to make sure your guests are taken care of the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa is the place to trust in the Rochester area.

The Woodcliff Hotel & Spa was an excellent venue for our wedding. All 170 guests had an amazing time, and the staff was very accommodating and flexible the whole time. Working with Woodcliff for our wedding was amazing. We were able to customize our menu and our wedding planner was always available to answer questions. We gave her all of our "extras" (escort cards, decorations, etc.) a few days before, but the Woodcliff event staff put a lot of effort into making every part of our day look beautiful. The food was awesome- especially our cake (lemon/raspberry).

We have no complaints, everything was great. Elissa Uhl was our wedding planner. She did a great job with everything, and really helped make the day as stress-free as possible. We were very lucky to have her help.

We booked a room block at the Woodcliff for our wedding this spring. Working with Jennifer was absolutely wonderful! She kept us up to date on how many rooms we'd filled, helped us organize an after-party at the hotel bar on Saturday night, and booked us in the Art Deco suite (with surprise champagne and strawberries waiting for us on Saturday night!). Our guests took advantage of the shuttle, and said that everyone was incredibly helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend working with the Woodcliff - and staying there!

Woodcliff was the venue for our daughter's wedding and reception. The location was fantastic, the service was impeccable and the food delicious!
We also had many guests stay at the hotel and the value was excellent.

Our wedding at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa was absolutely perfect in every way! Elissa Uhl and her staff were so helpful and awesome during the entire process. We enjoyed working with her and found that she was very flexible and accommodating. Elissa worked alongside our florist and event planners to help make sure that every detail was perfect. We highly recommend future brides and grooms to schedule a meeting with Elissa at The Woodcliff Hotel and Spa, because it is the perfect venue for a wedding!

The Woodcliff was phenomenal. The level of customer service that we received throughout the planning process of our wedding was unreal. Elissa, the catering sales manager was incredibly helpful, flexible, professional and responsive to our needs. From all of our special requests of a cocktail bar to a perfectly cooked and delicious dinner we were blown away.
The level of detail was incredible and the staff really did do what they could to make the day special and memorable.
My husband and I had a large number of out of town guests and having our wedding in one location was important for us. The sales team that put together our room block was incredible, and even arranged to have the flags outside be the American, Canadian, and Irish flags (representing each country at our wedding).
Finally, the spa staff. They were also (no surprises here) incredible. My stylist and makeup artist Sarah was amazing. She really went above and beyond to make sure that my hair and makeup was exactly what I wanted.
If you are looking for a place that is incredible and you want to deal with professional and amazing staff I highly recommend the Woodcliff for your event.
Additionally, If you are a bride (or groom) that also has food allergies, I really recommend here as well. As a celiac, I struggled when looking for venues and caterers. I really wanted to have amazing food, but was skeptical that somewhere would be able to do it. As soon as the Woodcliff told me that they were able to accommodate I was thrilled. The chef was able to make our entire meal that was served to guests gluten free. This ensured that none of my other guests with gluten intolerance or celiac disease would accidentally be served the wrong meal. The truth is, no one even realized that the meal was entirely gluten free. Everyone loved it, everything was perfectly cooked, and even my pickiest guests ate everything off of their plate.

Amy and staff at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa gave us the greatest experience we could have asked for. Our wedding planning was so easy with them. They were extremely flexible and accommodating to our wishes for our special day. When I had questions, my e-mails were answered promptly.
I had my hair and makeup done at the spa the morning of my wedding, and I have never felt so amazing. The girls in the spa were awesome to me and my bridesmaids. The suites and rooms we stayed in and booked for our guests were clean and spacious. The food was out of this world.
All of our guests told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to!

Our day at the Woodcliff was absolute perfection!! It was a rainy day so our reception was moved inside which initially scared me but turned out to be beautiful. Their set up of the party decor that I provided almost left me completely speechless! On top of that our guests have been raving about the food, saying it was the best they have ever had at a wedding! We can not thank the Woodcliff and our planner, Elissa, enough for making our day so special.

Joe and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Woodcliff. It was an amazing day that was perfect in every way. The staff were so professional and catered to our every need. The food was impeccable and our guests raved about how delicious everything was from the bar selections, to the wine, to the main course, and to the cake. During dinner and well into the night, the staff checked on us to see if we needed anything. All requests were honored and timely. The ceremony site was breath-taking and luckily for us the sun came out just in time as we were wed at sunset. Amy Marriott, our wedding consultant, was completely professional and accommodating. We were impressed over and over again. We were also thrilled with the reception that was held for all bride and grooms ahead of of time to taste the food selections and wines. It was fun and delicious and we were even able to bring our mothers. We couldn't be more pleased with our fabulous day full of love. We highly recommend the Woodcliff as a perfect location for any event. We can't wait to return.

I would recommend anyone have their wedding or special event at Woodcliff. The staff is warm, friendly as well as incredibly knowledgeable of their facility. I felt like a VIP the entire weekend, and it was amazing. My wedding weekend was one of the most amazing times of my life, and it wouldn't have been possibly without the hard work from the entire team that was assigned to our wedding. The food was amazing, and went above and beyond to make sure I didn't have any reactions to the food as I have many food allergies. Words cannot begin to describe how please my parents, my husband and myself are with our experience. Thank you again!

We recently got married at the Woodcliff and had an AMAZING time!! It was everything we imagined, and the great staff at Woodcliff made sure everything ran smoothly and took care of everything before hand. They were also there the day of, checking in - filling our drinks, and making sure we were enjoying our party!

Elissa was so accommodating and flexible. She really wanted to make our day special and treated us as individuals. Very organized and aware of all details - she took care of the worrying so we just showed up and had fun!

The cake was exactly what we pictured, and tasted amazing. Along with all the food! A big reason that drew us to woodcliff was the amazing food - and they didn't let us down. All of our guests raved about the food and how it wasn't "wedding food" but a good dinner.

Having our wedding at the Woodcliff was by far the best decision we'd made. My husband is a Marine and we are currently stationed in Hawaii but as we both went to school in the Rochester area we decided to have our wedding there. I was very concerned about planning out wedding from a distance but the staff at Woodcliff, in particular Steve Minnamon, were fantastic! There were check points throughout the planning process so that we did not get overwhelmed with the budget and they were always very quick to respond to emails, which was huge for me being so far away. The staff at the Woodcliff bent over backwards to accommodate us in every way. We were able to set up a custom cigar bar on the patio, my husband was able to bring in a special beer glass that held meaning for him and we even had cocktails reserved just for us behind the bar. Throughout the evening there was always someone on hand to attend to our needs and the staff was continuously checking in with us to be sure we were happy. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and the people who work there. They are the standard for professionalism and service! I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking to host a wedding.

Woodcliff was an amazing venue for our wedding. We had a lot of friends and family come in from out of town. Everyone raved about how beautiful the wedding was outside and how delicious the food was. We worked with Amy Marriott who did a wonderful job coordinating our wedding. She was very organized and made sure everything ran smoothly. Even during the reception she came up to us numerous times to see if we needed anything. We forgot our top tier of cake and they called us to let us know and stored it properly as well as napkins we had left. Overall, I highly recommend to anyone planning a wedding to have the wedding and reception at Woodcliff!

The Woodcliff Hotel and Spa is an amazing place. Their ability to cater to every little detail and idea we had to make my wife and I comfortable, separated them from everyone else we looked at. With both of our families coming from out of town, the venue offered everything we wanted to entertain our guests.
The Woodcliff's experienced staff help us plan everything. Every question, every email and phone call were answered in detail and in a timely manner. What my wife and I really enjoyed was the relationship that was built between us and the staff at the Woodcliff. Our event coordinator (Amy) worked so hard to make things right and went the extra mile every time we asked for something. The room and reservation coordinator (Jen) made sure every room was prepared in advanced and worked to arrange the prices and reservation in our own online portal. She provided weekly updates on who has and has not booked.
The day of our wedding was fantastic. The room looked amazing and the set up of our centerpieces and décor made my wife and I speechless. The banquet team led by Amy and Matthew handled everything and anything. Things were on time, guests were happy and most of all WE did not have to worry about a thing. The food and service was top notch as I have family and friends still to this day talking about how good their piece of beef was. I could not have asked for a better meal from start to finish. In the morning following the wedding we decided to provide breakfast for our guests and the Woodcliff put on a great buffet. It gave us an opportunity to say good bye to all of our guests and say thank you one more time. The food was above and beyond anything we anticipated. Our guests left with only great things to say about their weekend spent at the Woodcliff.

I'm so glad I picked the Woodcliff for my wedding. Here are the reasons I picked the Woodcliff first it has a very welcoming feeling when you walk in not like your walking into a hotel, second the food is so amazing ,and third we could have everything in one place because we had a lot of out of town guests. Steve was the one helping us with every little detail of the wedding and he was so sweet and easy to get a hold of when we had questions. If we wanted something changed he made it happen and was there the day of the wedding to make sure everything was right! We had the stations and it went very smooth no long lines and the food was out of this world! Days later people are still telling me how great the food was and how full they were. The staff in the ballroom and the bar were great always had a smile and you never had to look far if you had a question! The manager Matt went above and beyond anything I could have asked for. He would find me through out the night to make sure I was happy and did not need anything!! They also did my wedding cake it looked amazing so much so I did not want to cut it but it tasted even better! Steve and Matt are the best they both truly cared about my wedding and my family and friends! Everyone on the staff was amazing even at the front desk they all had smiles and were sweet! I would not have changed a thing about my wedding. Everyone that stayed at the hotel was happy with there rooms and the service! So if you want a stress free wedding day with amazing food the Woodcliff is it!!

Come here and you will not have to stress about the things you shouldn't have to when planning your wedding. Beverages will not be watered down, food will be amazing, and the pastry chef will do a fantastic job. I received so many praises on the service and food; it was better then I could have imagined. Doing research online didn't do Woodcliff enough justice. From my first meeting with Steve at Woodcliff, I knew I would be in good hands. I planned my wedding from 2,500 miles away, you can imagine how stressful that would be... Steve always had quick responses to all my questions, and would follow up with me to make sure I was on track. These guys are well worth the money. No hidden costs or fees. They went above and beyond what we paid them to do... and as the bride, I can say they really did what they could to make me feel special on our day :).

I am from Rochester, but now live in Florida and had to plan my wedding long distance. Elissa and the Woodcliff staff were helpful, accommodating, and made the process easy. I was able to plan most everything over the phone and only had to come in twice. I had my ceremony at the lookout and it was absolutely beautiful. The view was breathtaking and my guests raved about it. The venue was recently remodeled, so everything looks really nice. There were several meal selections - I picked some appetizer stations and the seated dinner. There was more than enough food and everything was delicious. The Woodcliff also provides your wedding cake as part of the cost. The cake was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Having the cake included made it so I didn't have to worry about finding a bakery/having it delivered - a huge plus since I planned my wedding in only 6 months and from Florida! The staff surprised us with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our wedding night suite. I am so happy I chose to have my wedding at the Woodcliff - it is an elegant, beautiful location that is sure to impress your guests. I would recommend them to anyone!

The food came out later than expected which pushed everything else back a little. Overall our wedding reception was fantastic and wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better day! Our wedding guests are still talking about how amazing our reception was at the Woodcliff. The food was delicious!

This was a wonderful place to have a wedding. Everyone was so helpful, attentive, and pleasant. The day of the wedding was a smooth as it could be and the food was amazing! They helped to create a perfect wedding day. We also did a brunch the day after and that was also great.

Woodcliff was an absolute pleasure to work with and they did everything possible to ensure we were satisfied and happy with everything for our special day! Amy Marriott was amazing and went above and beyond to make our day perfect! We received so many compliments about the food from our guests as well. It truly was a perfect day!!

Woodiff Hotel and Spa made my fairytale wedding come true!!

Elissa Uhl at Woodcliff Hotel and Spa made our wedding as perfect as it gets. Our wedding was exactly what we envisioned and we couldn't be happier. Elissa was our coordinator and she was very responsive, and on the ball with everything that needed to be done. The venue was beautiful, the food and cake were outstanding, and the staff was very helpful with everything we needed.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Woodcliff. It was beautiful, and it was really nice having everything in one location. My guests who stayed at the hotel commented on how nice the rooms were. I booked a suite for myself and my girls to get ready in, and it was very nice. The staff was very nice and helpful, you can tell that they do a lot of weddings. The food ended up really good. We had gone to a tasting earlier in the year and we weren't too impressed, but on the wedding day it was excellent.

Let me start by saying that I'm not the kind of person who gives perfect scores just to be nice. Woodcliff was just that good. I had my wedding there - both ceremony and reception - and afterward, both my husband and I said that we couldn't have asked for anything more.
The venue itself was perfect for us. We live in Los Angeles and had many out-of-town guests. Woodcliff was the perfect "hub" for our celebrations. About 75% of our guests stayed there overnight for multiple days, loved the spa and salon, the restaurant, and the overall feel of the place. It was great for us because all of our friends and family were located in one spot and with Woodcliff's shuttle service, we didn't need to figure out how to get folks around the immediate area for our rehearsal dinner and other random errands. And the Bristol Suite was the perfect place for me to hang with my bridesmaids and mom, getting ready and relaxing before the ceremony!
It had rained pretty hard the day of our wedding and was incredibly windy, so while we had planned to have an outdoor ceremony, we quickly brought it inside. Woodcliff staff did such an amazing job creating a "backup" ceremony space, that it ended up being the best thing to have 'gone wrong'. Our guests could hear every bit of the ceremony - which may not have been the case outside - and the way the guest chairs were set up, it felt like such an intimate and perfect setting in which to share our vows with each other.
The rest of the evening was just amazing. Woodcliff's venue has great spaces for the cocktail hour, we found some fun and unique areas to take photos, and the reception in the ballroom was perfect for us. The food was great! We were able to keep the music going until midnight! And even afterwards, the staff found a space for our friends to keep the party going!
I could go on and on about how much we appreciated the value that Woodcliff brought to our special day. But the one thing I must mention is in regard to the responsiveness and professionalism that the staff provided throughout the entire planning and actual event. We worked with Jamie, who is absolutely amazing. Planning our wedding from across the country was not ideal, but Jamie made it so easy for us. She was quick to respond to all my emails and phone calls. She was willing to meet with my parents, brother, and friends whenever there was something that needed to be looked at in person. Every time I spoke with her she was just so pleasant and excited about our wedding that it made me feel so comfortable and at ease with the whole process. I would, without question, recommend using Woodcliff for a special event.

Specifically I rated the individual I had the most contact with throughout my process planning my wedding reception at the Woodcliff: Ms. Jamie Madalena. From start to finish she was more than helpful, friendly, accomodating and very very responsive.

I had a room block of rooms for guests and held my reception for approx 80 guests in their ballroom.
Pros:
- room rate was great, rooms are upgraded and very nice. Jamie coordinated the block off for me, and the rooms were released about a month before the event, which was plenty of time for guests to get their rooms. I got updates as often as I wanted on who reserved a room. They did not require me to "contract" rooms and be held responsible for filling them all, which was a relief!
- planning process was easy. Their menus are right online, with prices. It includes everything from drinks to dinner to cake etc. Very easy to follow. They were more than happy to make changes for me as well.
- Jamie was very friendly, easy to talk to, easy to set meetings up with (I did all the planning from FL so it was mostly phone and e-mail) she was knowledgeable of local vendors, gave recommendations and offered contact information. She was really the best part of the whole planning process. E-mailed me back IMMEDIATELY day or night if I had questions.
- Helped me coordinate the band and florist and upgraded linens and different lighting in the ballroom. She also coordinated an awesome lunch for the ladies in the Bride's suite before the wedding as well as obtaining a mic, amp etc for a soloist we had at the cocktail hour.
- Day of, she was there until after the cake cutting. Some of the guests had small children who didn't end up staying up until dinner, she had their dinners wrapped up and sent to the room. Bride and Groom also had their dinners sent up to the room because too full to eat!
- Dinner was as expected, Food was awesome...I did get the most expensive meal package, so we had Steak and stuffed chicken etc. I thought it was well worth the price. Steak was well cooked, perfectly medium, not overcooked like most places.
- I had cake made there, you can pick any style and flavor and they'll do it. They use Fondant for display, then take it into the back and cut it and put buttercream on the slices before they serve it.
- Lobby bar was accomodating, our family was there all weekend. Bartenders were friendly. Drink prices were typically for a hotel bar.

All in all really happy.

I did have a (few) nit-picky cons:
- With the exception of 1 gentleman that worked at the front desk, they were mostly really rude. We had a couple issues with rooms and they were not helpful at all, and were actually pretty snotty. Jamie actually ended up getting involved to take care of us, which she shouldn't have had to do.
- Lobby bar does close early, and there isn't really anywhere else to go. Part of the groom's family tried to continue the party in their room, and security got called on them.
- Bar was a package price, $$ per person per hour. 20% service charge goes on all food/drink and tax. I was really upset to find that they bartenders put out tip cups with "staged" dollar bills in them when they set up the bar at my reception. This indicates to the guests that the bartenders have NOT been tipped, when in fact they already had. Of course, I was the first one to see it and went to find Jamie. The front desk lady was really snotty to me (while I'm wearing my wedding dress, and obviously the bride there) and told me Jamie was probably in the kitchen, with no offer to find her for me. I ended up telling them that they needed to remove the tip cups (after confirming that they were in fact already tipped...but the front desk said, well, they do that anyway). Later that evening when another set of bartenders were working, they put more dollar bills out under the cherries and limes etc to indicate "please tip me" I just thought this whole thing was rediculous. This should not be "what they do" when they've been tipped. I did not want my guests to think I hadn't tipped the bartenders, when infact it was A LOT of money I spent there.
- They messed up the cake flavors I picked. Yes, it was still good, so who cares right? It's hard to attend a wedding that you've meticulously planned and know forward and backwards what is supposed to happen. The filling in one of the layers was a jelly instead of cream, and then they put the vanilla frosting on the chocolate pieces, and chocolate frosting on the vanilla pieces (it was supposed to be the other way around) Also, they served the cake and then cleared the tables so fast while people were dancing, hardly anyone got to eat it! Even off the head table they did this, and after the MOH told them twice to leave our cake, we were going to eat it.

Like I said, I know the complaints are nit-picky...it can't all be perfect. But I am rating it a 5 and would definitely recommend to another bride. I had a great time and loved the venue. I don't know about other coordinators, but Jamie Madalena is the one you want if you have your wedding there!!

Our experience with Woodcliff was extremely pleasurable. All the people we dealt with were patient, accommodating and very helpful. Whenever a question arose, Jamie Madalena made us feel that things would be handled with no problem. She and the rest of the staff came through to make our family's experience a memorable one. We had many guests from out of town who stayed for several nights and all had nothing but extremely positive experiences. The food is outstanding and the venue is beautiful. I would definitely recommend the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa to future brides.

Woodcliff was an amazing venue for our wedding. We ended up holding the reception here, and yes it is a bit pricy but totally worth it. Included with our package was full service dinner, champagne toast, one hour of open bar, our wedding cake bridal makeup and hair, a free gel manicure for the bride, free golf for the groom and his groomsmen, and a room for the night of your wedding. Jen was great to work with, very sweet and professional. She thought of absolutely everything for the big day, and even helped plan out some of the ceremony details even though our ceremony was not held there. There are so many perks that you receive along with five star treatment. I literally felt like royalty.

Woodcliff Hotel and Spa hosted our wedding on April 23, 2016. The staff was incredibly helpful in planning right from the beginning and offered suggestions whenever we were unsure of what we wanted. We worked with Jennifer in planning all our details- she was incredibly responsive to all of our last minute questions, which greatly diminished our stress on the day of! When scheduling our room-block with Steve, he was very helpful and even was able to reserve a hospitality room for the guys in case our room wasn't ready in time for them. Everyone was so thoughtful and sweet throughout the whole process- it made it so easy and enjoyable.

Woodcliff was also flexible in allowing us to create the day that we wanted and that would be significant to us. We had a Japanese themed wedding and the staff allowed us to make changes to the menu to accommodate our theme- they even had a Japanese flag flying outside that day! The food was delicious - our friends and families loved the unique details and the special menu. The staff was incredibly attentive the day of and the setting was absolutely perfect for both our ceremony and reception. We even stayed in the Japanese suite the night of; the accommodations were gorgeous.

We cannot thank Woodcliff enough for our amazing day!! We loved every minute of it.

My husband and I currently live in another state and had to do most of the planning through phone calls and emails. We had our ceremony and brunch reception at the Woodcliff and both went very smoothly considering our long distance planning. Our ceremony site at Look Out Point was GORGEOUS. Many of our guests commented on the beautiful view and that it was such a hidden gem in Rochester. All the small details I wanted were executed exactly as I expected and even exceeded my expectations. The staff truly made my day as stress-free as possible. I can't thank them enough!

My wedding day was literally the best day of my life and I can say woodcliff really made my dreams come true. It was like anything we envisioned the coordinators made it happen. Everyone always says there’s some stuff that goes wrong the day of and I felt like everything that went “wrong” was very manageable and minimal. We had a lot of ideas when it came to our signature drinks and they made them all happen which meant a lot to us. Dropping off our stuff for the wedding was such an easy smooth, process. I can’t say enough good things about Bri! She was there with us from the very beginning of the planning process until the end of the night of the wedding we’re just so grateful. Lindsay was also very good at communicating and responding to emails when we had questions. I also feel like they did a great job at managing expectations if it was something that might not be workout or make sense which helped me a lot. I would bounce my ideas off them. We also chose to do our rehearsal dinner there and the food was so good. They let us into the room to set some photos up in there ahead of time. And then we did the farewell breakfast and that was delicious too. They didn’t kick us out of the space either so we all kind of hung in there as people were leaving. We’re just SO happy with all of it.

We had such a great experience working with the Woodcliff team, specifically the coordinator Jenn Kozack. On our first tour of the Woodcliff we knew this venue was for us. You're greeted by Jenn, who could not be friendlier, and treated with chocolate truffles. You immediatley feel cared for and can tell your experience is going to be great. Throughout the planning process Jenn was responsive and answered all question I had, she worked hard to make the day what we envisioned. While we didn't choose the venue for this reason the Woodcliff was able to provide us a totally vegan wedding, even the wedding cake! Our guests wouldn't stop commenting on how amazing the food was. If you're looking for an all in 1 venue I would highly suggest the Woodcliff. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the rooms were, and they couldn't get over the views. If you choose the Woodcliff for your big day you won't be disappointed!

If you're getting married in the Rochester area, look no further than the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa. The rooms, the spa, the view, the staff. These people genuinely care about you and your guests. Jenn and her team are hard-working, passionate and eager to solve any problem that will inevitably come up. We picked the Woodcliff as our wedding venue because my sister and her husband had their reception there about 8 years ago and they did such a wonderful job. And if we had to plan our wedding all over again we would still choose the Woodcliff. I really can’t say enough good things about them! They were so easy to work with and the day of our Wedding they treated my husband and I like a king and queen. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and we had everything we needed. I had my makeup and hair done at the spa and the girls did exactly what I had asked for. Not only that but, they were extremely nice and easy to work with and made sure that me and my bridesmaids were happy with everything.
My guests had fun at the reception and it’s the perfect location because most of our guests booked a room for after the reception. The food was delicious and my guests kept telling me how delicious it was. Beautiful venue as well! Would definitely recommend for anyone getting married in Rochester!

The wedding and catering staff at the Woodcliff were so accommodating and thoughtful. The set up of the venue, the care they took throughout the night and the food were all incredible. The only thing that I wasn't overly satisfied with was the hotel sales process. I had a few of my guests that were frustrated because their reservations were taken incorrectly or booked twice and the hotel sales manager seemed disorganized enough that it caused my guests some problems even though I sent in a copy of my hotel list with changes made to misspellings and incorrect bookings. The rest of the experience was everything we hoped for. The salon staff was so amazing and the cake was lovely. The Woodcliff is perfect for the one stop shop wedding and that is exactly what we wanted. Convenience and a place for all your guests to stay with a great view. I definitely recommend this venue, just keep your eye on the hotel side of things.

Woodcliff was very easy to deal with. It also made it easy to have everything at one location; Woodcliff handled it all! Their established relationships with my other vendors (photographer & DJ) made it even easier - as they all managed everything for me. Everything I had envisioned Woodcliff carried out and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

The staff was SO attentive to our needs and the entire wedding day was seemless! We even used their salon and spa services and they were perfectly timed out for my bridal party of 9 girls, and has all their hair and make up done in 3 hours. Their event coordinator Jenn was amazing and so helpful all year long leading up to our big day! And the food was hit! Great quality and selection for all attending. I highly recommend the Woodcliff all around.

We reserved a room block at the Woodcliff hotel as our reception was at Casa Larga vineyard, literally around the corner. The initial meeting was very informative - I was shown a suite as well as a regular room. Options for number of rooms and pricing was very competitive - for a 4* hotel - the block rooms rate was only ~ $20 difference vs. a 2* motel nearby. I was advised that many brides reserve the suite for the night before for herself and bridesmaids - then have salon services the next morning and then bride and groom stay in the same suite the wedding night. We did just that and it worked out beautifully! We were offered discounts for wedding party, bride and groom services as a perk of reserving a room block. Woodcliff offered shuttle service to Casa Larga for our guests - which was an excellent service at a very competitive price.
The bride, MOB, MOG, bridesmaids and flower girl all had beauty services the morning of the wedding. All the hairdressers and makeup artists were true professionals - the entire wedding party looked stunning on the day! Beautiful job!!!

Woodcliff definitely exceeded our expectations for our wedding! They were very accommodating and our the whole day went so smooth. We had booked our ceremony to be outside at their Lookout Point and the view is absolutely stunning! It was uncertain if it was going to rain or not during our ceremony and the staff was very nice to let us decide last minute if we should bring the ceremony inside or not. Five minutes before the ceremony, the rain decided to come right towards us! Without any hesitation, the staff was able to move all of our guests inside and the ceremony happened inside the ballroom. No one got wet and the ceremony was still beautiful. The rest of the evening was perfect and everyone had a blast and danced the night away!!

Our wedding was this past weekend at the Woodcliff and I am still in awe of how perfect it was. I have been in and attended many, many weddings over the years and the Woodcliff does it best. We looked at several beautiful locations in the area but none could deliver everything they had to offer. On top of the gorgeous views their ceremony site has to offer, it was convenient for our guests from out of town who were able to stay at the hotel, convenient for the bridal party because we could get hair and makeup done on site at Spa Elan, and the food is literally the BEST in Rochester. Our guests have not stopped raving about their meals. The Woodcliff even has a pastry chef and an incredibly delicious wedding cake was included with our package. To help us through the planning process, we had Amy Marriott, Director of Events at Woodcliff. Her calm demeanor was very reassuring throughout. Each time my mother or I sent her an email she replied right away even if it was to tell us she needed to look into an answer. Many venues have very strict packages but at the Woodcliff we were able to tailor a package that worked best for us. The day before and the day of the wedding, Amy was there making sure everything was going smoothly. Great service didn’t end with Amy. Everyone we encountered throughout the planning process and the weekend of our wedding was helpful and friendly. The wait staff the day of the wedding really wowed us by bringing in a plate of cheese and crackers to our very exhausted three year old daughter who was resting in the ballroom with her grandmother while we enjoyed the cocktail hour. It was such a small, kind gesture but it made her feel really special. My only small disappointment was that they were unable to give us early check-in at the hotel and our only option to guarantee we had somewhere to get ready was to book an additional night. The wedding was so perfect I never gave it a thought the weekend of though!

We had our wedding at Woodcliff hotel and spa on 06/21/2014 and we could not be happier! We had our ceremony outside and reception inside and also stayed at the hotel. I got so many compliments that the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It has been fully renovated. The views outside are spectacular on the cliff. Elissa helped us so much in picking things out and staying organized. She even set up some ceremony items as well as our escort card table and gift table. This place has got it all down pat. So happy with Woodcliff. I wanted everything in the same place so as to make it easier for me and our guests and I couldn't be happier. We stayed in the Art Deco suite as well. It was so beautiful. The food was fantastic. They made me a special meal to accommodate my dietary restrictions which tasted awesome. All night I heard "this place is beautiful!" and "The food was sooo good!" Earlier in the year woodcliff invited all the couples getting married to an event to taste the food and we got to see what the reception room would look like all decked out. from what I have heard from other engaged couples is that this is unheard of. It made meal choosing so much easier. Their prices are a little high, but the quality and service is unmatched. You will not regret booking them for ceremony, reception, hotel block, or all three (like we did)! Thank you so much Elissa and Woodcliff! The quality of service and attention was outstanding. The Woodcliff staff made my wedding day a stress free night to remember. We truly had no worries and their flexibility the day of the event was commendable. The landscaping provided amazing picture backdrops! We provided the baker with a picture to replicate our cake and the baker did an outstanding job. However, our actual wedding cake tasted different from the cake we chose the day of the tasting. The food and venue was great and the service we received was exceptional.

My husband and I decided to have our wedding at the Woodcliff, and the experience was everything we hoped it would be and more.

From the beginning, we felt that the wedding packages offered at Woodcliff were the clearest and most comprehensive of any of the venues we had looked at in Rochester. At some other places we found there were alot of "hidden fees", but with Woodcliff it was very clear what you were getting and how much it would cost.

We worked with Elissa Uhl, and she was incredibly responsive through out the entire process. I emailed her ALOT and she was always happy to answer my questions and made the process run very smoothly both leading up to the day and on the day itself.

The food was FANTASTIC. I got rave reviews from our guests on everything from the appetizers to the cake.

Also, I highly recommend the salon in the hotel for getting your hair done. I had Sarah who did an amazing job on my hair and make up and was thoughtful and flexible with my consultations (I did two). I cannot tell you how stress-free the morning was because my bridal party and I did not have to leave the hotel.

All in all the Woodcliff was incredibly and gave my husband and I the best night of our lives!

Brides can be a pain to deal with but the staff at Woodcliff was very supportive and they made sure our wedding went off without a hitch. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious. We chose a stations menu and they were very willing to adapt the menu to my dietary needs and prefernces. We had some great meat dishes and vegan dishes to accomodate everyone. They made a beautiful cake, and an awesome small red velvet vegan cake for me.

We wanted it outside but had to do it inside due to weather. It turned out great. Our whole thing was there so it was nice to have the convince of having it all in one location. The pictures came out beautiful with the great view and even with it being inside there are so many great areas to take pictures. Staff was wonderful and I never had to ask anyone for anything on our day, it just flowed so nicely. Jennifer and her staff did a great job.

We used Woodcliff for our room block for guests and ourselves. We were upgraded to a beautiful suit! Steven was professional to work with regarding our rooms. Catering was great in providing breakfast to us and our guests the next day. There was an issue with the shuttle service from hotel to reception site. Hopefully this is being fixed while I finish the review. Thanks everyone!

Our wedding reception at Woodcliff was wonderful. I am originally from Pittsford but had moved away after college, so we were planning the wedding from a distance. Our reception coordinator, Amy Marriott, was incredibly organized and professional throughout the planning process, and her attention to detail ensured that nothing was overlooked. All of the staff were phenomenally responsive, respectful, and friendly in the months leading up to the wedding and throughout the reception and our entire stay at Woodcliff. (There were a few hiccups caused by the major renovations the hotel was undergoing at the time, but all problems were resolved quickly and satisfactorily.)

The food was outstanding; we heard from many of our guests that they had never had such good food at a wedding reception. Again, the staff was wonderful throughout the reception: the food service and bar service were great, the valet parking service was seamless, and the staff were discreet in escorting a couple of wedding crashers out before invited guests were even aware of the situation. We had a slight problem with our photo booth, but staff members fixed it quickly and let us use it for longer to make up for the time it was out of service.

Our guests have told us how much they enjoyed Woodcliff as a destination and a reception venue, as did we—in addition to the wonderful service, the views from the hotel are amazing. We stayed in the Genessee Suite the night after our wedding, which we would highly recommend! The room is beautiful, and it’s perfect either for being alone or for having a few friends over for an after party. All in all, Woodcliff was a wonderful venue, and we’d highly recommend it.

All the staff at Woodcliff helped make sure our wedding went smoothly and perfectly. Every single detail was well thought out. Everyone was so friendly and responsive. We felt our reception was perfect. The food was amazing, we had so many friends and family compliment the food. The views over the city of Rochester were great too, good photo opportunities. The ballroom was large but comfortably fit our guests. Again, every single detail was well planned and we did not have to worry about anything!

My fiance and I visited over 15 different venues in the Finger Lakes area. We went back and forth for over a year before we made a decision on where to have our reception. I cannot tell you how happy we are that we chose the Woodcliff. The package price was slightly higher than other venues we were looking at, but it was well worth it. The food was incredible as well as the service from the waitstaff during our wedding. I cannot speak highly enough of Jenn Kozak, the Catering Sales Manager. Jenn was responsive, flexible, patient and really listened to everything that was important to my family and I. She made the entire wedding planning process as painless as possible and we knew we were in good hands with her. She was an absolute pleasure to work with.
It was so convenient to have the spa right there in the hotel to get our hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding. There were lots of options for picture locations right on the hotel grounds. My guests were so happy that they could just go up to their rooms for the night once the wedding was over instead of having to worry about driving or getting a shuttle.
All inclusive service, highly recommend.

Overall great experience! We began planning as one planner was leaving and another was hired which made the planning tricky, but the day itself couldn't have gone smoother. If something went wrong I never heard about it, haha. They went out of their way to make sure the bride and groom had THEIR day, including not serving our dinner until we were seated after making our rounds to talk to everyone. The staff was great and friendly and enjoyed the music and photobooth with us, overall great experience.

My wedding at Woodcliff was an absolute dream come true. When we first started looking at venues I had some very specific requirements. I wanted to have my wedding and reception at the same venue to save our guests on travel. I also wanted to have rooms available for our guests to stay in after the reception. I liked the idea of having an outdoor venue, but like every bride, I was concerned about the possibility of rain, so a backup indoor option was appealing. Woodcliff was the only venue that we visited and it had everything that I wanted! We originally signed our contract with a different planner, but midway through planning she accepted another job elsewhere and Jenn took over her position. Despite getting thrown into someone else's project, Jenn did a phenomenal job at following through with some of the promises we had been made (ex. we received a $5 credit on chair covers for signing our contract when we did). Jenn was prompt at answering my emails when I had questions or changes to make (including several emails regarding the final count on our guest list, which changed a dozen times in the last week of planning). The food was absolutely amazing! We had a wide variety of choices and were able to modify the buffet to exactly what we wanted (we removed the wine service, added a premium appetizer). And throughout our whole wedding day, everyone involved in the planning process was available when needed, but managed to stay unnoticed.

Our wedding at the Woodcliff was absolutely amazing!!! We had the most beautiful view at look out point, the food and cake was delicious! We could not have asked for a better day! Everyone has been saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to!

The Woodcliff provided me with my dream wedding. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. This place is absolutely gorgeous and has a great outside area for pictures! If you are interested in booking your wedding there, I wouldn't waste anytime! We ended up with a Friday evening wedding because Saturdays were booked for the fall months!

We did the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception there. Everything was breathtaking and the "flow" of everything was perfect. The workers do a phenomenal job of making us feel at ease. Anytime my husband or I would think of something, Amy Marriott was already on top it. I cannot explain the numerous amount of guests that told me the food and cake was amazing. I would not change a single moment of that night. They were spot on! They can use me as a reference anytime!
