  Best Wedding Planner and Amazing Person

  As a bride during Covid-19, Kris was my ROCK during the wedding planning process. She is organized, timely, and strives to understand and implement your dream wedding, even down to the tiniest, most intentional details. For example, Kris helped my husband surprise me with a last dance to our favorite song with no one else in the room… it was the perfect start to our new life! In addition to being the best wedding planner, Kris is just an amazing person. She goes out of her way to actively listen, empower, and encourage you during this season. Our vendors, bridal party members, and guests kept telling us for weeks after the wedding how impressed they were with Kris and how hard she worked behind-the-scenes that day! If you want a stress free and FUN wedding season, Kris is your girl!

  Working with Kris was the best!

  Kris was simply the best! We hired her to be the month-of coordinator for our wedding. Our 2 planning meetings leading up to our wedding were so helpful - Kris kept them very organized, brought up questions/details my husband and I wouldn't have thought of, and she always followed up with detailed notes summarizing everything we talked about. Kris handled all final vendor communications in the month leading up to the wedding, and it was such a relief to have this off of our plate. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch thanks to all of the help from Kris! She (and her assistant Sarah) did a fabulous job making sure everything was set up exactly the way we had discussed; they made sure we stuck to our timeline to keep the event moving smoothly; and most importantly, they made sure to check in on my husband and I to make sure we had everything we needed. We cannot recommend Kris and her team enough!

  Mother of the Bride

  Kris and her team helped my daughter plan a wedding from out of town. We walked into the reception hall so pleased with everything! She was calm and guided a very large wedding party through the events from the rehearsal to the last dance. Everything was amazing!

  My wedding was beautifully executed by Kris and her team. She was hired at the last minute, and as soon as I needed help, she jumped right in and took over the tasks. Kris and her team were incredibly helpful and supportive on the day of my wedding. Additionally, they left the venue spotless and packed all of my decorations and food carefully. Working with Wildwood Event Co. is HIGHLY recommended!

  Yes, you DO need a planner - and you need Kris!

  I have accidentally written an entire novel here, so here's the short version: work with Wildwood! Kris is extremely friendly and competent. And on the actual day of my wedding, she handled everything so expertly that neither me nor any guest had to worry about a thing.
  
  Now here's the long version (including why I changed my mind and decided that, for pretty much all weddings, you DO need a planner!):
  
  PART 1: REVIEW OF WILDWOOD: Kris was an absolute dream to work with. I hired Wildwood for "day of" event planning and assumed that I wouldn't hear from her at all until four or six weeks out. WRONG! Kris was there for me throughout the process to recommend vendors, answer questions, and help me manage details. (Of course, read the package descriptions carefully and select the one that meets your needs.) Kris was so patient with my procrastination, my wishy-washiness, and my long-winded emails. I am an anxious and sensitive person; I have trouble advocating for myself and feel guilty requesting things (even when I am a paying client). Yet working with Kris was honestly easy. She was endlessly warm, patient, and reassuring.
  
  As an example, I made a vendor change just a couple weeks before my wedding. With this change, we were going to need someone to pick something up in the middle of the wedding. Despite how lovely Kris had been, I was nervous to throw this curveball. But she didn't tell me it was impossible, or act like it was an inconvenience, or even say "That's a big change, I'll see what I can do." Instead, her exact words were, "This is GREAT news!!" And just like that, she handled it.
  
  But if that's not enough, here's what else you need to know: my wedding day was perfect and I was able to entirely, fully immerse myself with my husband and guests without worrying about anything. Really!!! Kris was completely on top of everything with my vendors, my set-up, my timeline, my teardown, and making any adjustments needed along the way. Instead of feeling the stress of hosting a party, I felt like I was simply a VIP guest at a party where every single detail was somehow exactly how I wanted it. And at the end of the night? I wasn't packing up props or hovering to make sure my caterer took proper care of glassware-- I got to leave with my guests and continue the fun! I wish I had more adequate words to explain how smoothly the wedding went-- because of Kris.
  
  PART 2: DO YOU REALLY NEED A PLANNER? In case you are still on the fence about hiring a planner, I'm going to give a little background info on myself and why I now believe that YES, you do.
  
  I did not plan on hiring a wedding planner. Organization, checklists, details, timelines, communication-- these are literally parts of my job! I wondered why I would pay someone to do something I could do myself.
  
  But then my venue required a planner. I toyed with the idea of hiring the absolute cheapest person I could find, just to check their box. I ultimately decided that a bad planner could actually ruin my wedding, so I "gave in" and began searching for a good planner at a reasonable, industry-standard rate. At this point, I still didn't think it would be worth the cost.
  
  Here's what I finally realized (AFTER signing on with Kris!). I am an expert on planning in. my. field. If anyone else told me they could step in and do my job just because they're good at planning, I'd be offended and they would be wrong. And it's the same thing in the wedding industry. I may have the skills, but I don't have experience applying them in this context. I don't have the expertise you gain from doing something over and over again. I haven't learned from my mistakes. That's what you're paying for-- not only skills, but also knowledge and experience with weddings. (Plus, as mentioned before and will be mentioned again, the value of a planner on the actual day is ENORMOUS and cannot be overstated.)
  
  This is going to sound like a cliche, but as soon as I spoke with Kris I felt a huge wave of relief. Despite everything I said in the previous paragraphs, wedding planning had become very stressful. There were endless decisions to make. Did you start having wedding nightmares yet? You know, where it's your wedding day and you realize you didn't order a cake? Or it's the middle of your ceremony and you realize you forgot to pick up florals? Having Kris ensures those wedding nightmares could never become a reality. She's got your back!
  
  Another great asset of working with Kris was the SUPER detailed planning checklist I received. It included some things I wouldn't have thought of (like whose car does the extra alcohol go in at the end of the night?). Even more importantly, the recommended deadlines for each item helped me prioritize (even though I had already missed many deadlines since I signed with Wildwood only a few months out from my wedding-- it was still a hugely helpful tool!).
  
  Do you still need more reasons? No vendors said this outright to me (except my venue requirement), but I got the sense that vendors prefer to work with planners. This makes sense; in my job, I would also prefer to work with people who have been around the block a time or two or two hundred.
  
  Finally, refer back to the first part of the review. On your wedding day, you don't want to be worrying about details. And you don't want your best friend, mom, or bridal party worrying either. You want a friendly, professional expert-- and that's Kris at Wildwood.

  I don't even know where to begin for this one! I've known Kris for many years, but even if I was a stranger on the street, I have no doubt that Kris would have the same kindness and generosity for literally anyone, and it SHINES in her work! Kris was an angel from start to finish, and her infectious joy made my day any time I heard from her, even in the most stressful parts of wedding planning. She made sure that every detail was seamless from start to finish, and she was the perfect person to make sure our day was executed perfectly (including making sure we actually ate, drank, and enjoyed each other on our wedding day, which unfortunately, a lot of people forget or don't have a chance to do). I would recommend Wildwood Event Co. to ANYONE getting married, whether it's 50 or 350 people. I cannot stress the importance of having a planner enough, but having the right wedding planner is just as important. We are forever thankful to Kris and her team for ensuring that our day was as perfect as we could have ever dreamed to to be, and we had a TON of fun doing it. 11/10 recommend! ❤️

  Fabulous Wedding Planner

  I'm so glad I found Wildwood Event Company. They did a beautiful job for my wedding. Kris was wonderful to work with and she really came through for me on my day even though she was sick and not feeling well. She made things so easy to plan. She did a great job communicating with me and the vendors and did a beautiful job setting up our wedding and reception at Ravenswood Mansion. It was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend her! Thank you again Kris!

  The Wedding Planner You Need

  Hands down the best event planner you could ever hope for. COVID made our wedding so much different than I could've ever predicted, but Kristin was able to still make my wife and I have the dream wedding we always wanted! If you're looking for a wedding planner look no further. Kristin is the most organized and thoughtful event planner that you can ask for. She is ready for every single question and problem that you can throw at her.
