Three or four months before our wedding date we were in a tough spot - we lost our original day of coordinator and needed to find a new one for one of the most popular wedding dates of the summer. A friend recommended Whitney and we were able to work with Malia on her team. We talked on the phone a few times and did a site visit together. Malia was a great resource as we were finalizing all the details and helped us put together our final timeline. On the actual wedding day, Malia and her assistant Sarah handled everything seamlessly. If there were any issues, I don’t know about them. It was really important to us to have a day of coordinator so that nobody in our family had to be responsible for things happening and working with Malia allowed everybody to just enjoy the day and celebrate with us. Thank you Malia, Sarah and Whitney! So glad we got to work with you. -

Whitney was the perfect blend of easy-going, creative, and timely! She kept us on track to get everything done, designed a beautiful creative deck to work off of for inspiration after speaking with her a few times prior, and never once got overwhelmed or pushy. We loved working with her! AND we were a Portland destination client, so we did 99% of the work via phone and email with little opportunity to meet face-to-face with her or vendors. There were no misses! -

Amazing, above-and-beyond, wedding coordinator rockstars!
If you are looking for a wedding coordinator, I cannot recommend Whitney Werts & Co. enough!
Whitney and her team provided month-of coordination for my August 2018 wedding in Portland. From the very start, Whitney and Stephani were so engaging and welcoming. They truly listened to what my husband and I wanted and did everything in their power to make it happen. Even prior to our month-of contract, the two did not hesitate to provide vendor recommendations and any advice they could.
When we were approaching a month out, Stephani, our lead/point of contact, was absolutely incredible about keeping us organized and on the right path! She sent over lists and outlines regarding the ceremony, reception, seating chart, vendors, etc. She also provided last minute recommendations and was there to answer any questions I had, day or night, even while being a mom to two young ones.
Leading up to the big day, Stephani checked in regularly, assisted with projects (big & small), and made sure all the necessary boxes were checked. She took over vendor relations and let us breathe and enjoy the moment. She lead our rehearsal, which wasn't easy given our rowdy and easily distracted wedding party, and kept the ball rolling!
Cue to our wedding day, I walked into our venue and it was more than I could have dreamed of! Stephani knew exactly what we wanted in every way and made sure that it happened. She improvised when necessary and was a rock, giving support to my husband and I when we needed it. Our biggest ask was to enjoy the moment and not be bothered with vendors, details or any work. We wanted the same for our friends and family and Whitney & her team allowed us to have the wedding we always dreamed of.
Even after the reception, there were a few signs we couldn't take with us and the venue didn't allow overnight items to stay. Without question, Stephani offered to take the signs in her car and even offered to return them to the vendor the next day. She TRULY went above and beyond and we can't thank her and the team enough!

K Sent on 09/18/2018I wanted to get married in Oregon (where I grew up) but my husband and I live in New York City and both work very demanding jobs, so we knew that we needed help! I cannot say enough positive things about Whitney and Stephani. They helped us plan our rehearsal dinner, wedding, hiking, and a rafting trip for almost 70 people over labor day weekend in Hood River. We looked at a few planners in the Portland area but immediately felt at ease with Whitney on the phone. She reassured us that they would work around our busy schedules and handle all the on-the-ground logistics that we wouldn’t be able to do from far away. I couldn’t spend much time on the phone because of my job but they were both extremely responsive to the many (so many!) emails I sent. Both Stepahni and Whitney were very available, professional, and on top of every detail. They were very open to everything we suggested and good at coming up with solutions to make our (sometimes complicated) requests happen. We felt that they were very intuitive in understanding what we wanted and always on the same page. The weekend far exceeded our expectations! In retrospect I don’t know how we could have pulled off such a great weekend without them. I definitely recommend the full package as it removed a huge amount of stress from the weekend and was absolutely worth the cost.

So professional from the start! We could of never done it with out her and staff!! Our wedding was absolutely done perfectly! Thank you Whitney for making our day so perfect!!!

Ashley Sent on 03/26/2016Whitney was referred to me by my sister's girlfriend who had used her for planning for her wedding a few years ago. It was a great referral! We decided to go with month of coordination because I had done so much planning early on, but she also does full service planning! She was super thorough before our big day, making sure we were both on the same page for how the day was to go. The day before we went over all of our swag that we brought up (it was a destination wedding in Tahoe that she flew down to) and last minute details. We found during this time that our guest board did not make it. Her and her assistant went and made one last minute that evening just in case fedex didn't get it there by the wedding. Day of our wedding she made everything flow seamlessly and made sure the day was perfect for both me and my husband. Would highly recommend Whitney to anyone looking for any type of event planning! -

Hilary Sent on 03/04/2015I had the pleasure of working with Whitney for a full-service coordination of my April 26, 2014 nuptials. Hiring Whitney was, without a doubt, the best decision I could have made in regards to my wedding. Whitney took care of pretty much everything imaginable so that I was able to enjoy the process, and wasn't caught up in vendor research, price negotiations, etc. She thought of details that I would have totally missed had I been left to my own devices. And thanks to her, I had a stress-free, enjoyable wedding planning experience.
The day of my wedding, everything went off without a hitch. Whitney was there morning until the end of the night to take care of everything. When the weather turned and we had to move our outdoor ceremony inside, Whitney made it happen in under a half hour, and no one ever knew anything had changed! This freed up my time and my family's time so we could enjoy one another and not worry about all of the details that can make things stressful. Whitney took care of everything, held our hands through the process, and smiled the entire time. She is a truly delightful person.
I'd like to point out that, even though Whitney was still rather new to the Portland area at the time of our event, she knew EVERYONE in the wedding planning community, and was able to match us with the unique vendors that we were looking for.
I can't say enough good things about Whitney Werts Events. Whitney is wonderful and if you're recently engaged and on the fence about hiring a planner, do yourself a favor and hire her! You will not regret it! Not only will you get to work with the most talented wedding planner in the business, but you'll make a true friend for life. Thank you, Whit!

Katy Sent on 04/21/2013My husband and I hired Whitney Werts as our day of coordinator. "Day of" isn't really an accurate description of Whitney Werts Events' "Day of" package. Whitney checked in with me on several occasions leading up to the wedding, we exchanged over 400 emails over the months since I booked her, and then one month before the wedding, she kicked it into super high gear and she took over all communications with my vendors. Whitney is worth her weight in gold for the organization and peace of mind that only she could bring in what really is the most chaotic period of a girls life!
Whitney is such a sweet person with all the qualities you could want in a wedding coordinator. She is professional, available, flexible, and extremely organized. She also really listens and tries to understand exactly what you want. She went above and beyond to make sure everything played out the way I imagined for the whole wedding weekend.
On our wedding day, everything ran smoothly and I was so impressed when we arrived to the venue that everyone was calm and ready for us, no scrambling in sight! Whitney and her team were early, prepared and on top of every single detail!. I am not sure if there were any mishaps or unplanned struggles, but if there was I didn't know about it, everything was perfect. We left everything in her hands, and we are so glad we did, she even had our favorite cocktails in hand for us immediately after the ceremony so we wouldn't miss a beat! Whitney was a life saver and I can't thank her enough for keeping me sane, she swooped in right when I needed her the most. I would highly recommend Whitney Werts Events for planning and creating you next special event!
