Very Happy with Whitney Events!
Christina and Jen were an absolute pleasure to work with and we are thankful to them for making our wedding so special and actually a joy to plan. They are very organized and keep you on track as your wedding day approaches. They have lists of what you should be considering 13 months out, 12 months out, 11 months out, etc and are in regular contact with you (and very responsive when you reach out) to help you slowly but surely take care of everything you need to in preparation for the wedding. It was so helpful knowing that someone was there to keep track of every detail, which meant we never had to worry about missing anything.
Most importantly, they plan for and handle all of the little details that you never would have thought of during the last month and on the wedding day itself. On top of that, they add such a personal touch to everything and they really understood who we were as a couple. Thanks to Christina and Jen we were able to sit back and enjoy our wedding and didn't need to stress over logistics. We would highly recommend working with Whitney Events!

Best Money We Ever Spent!

The venue our daughter and her fiancé choose is probably the rawest space that anyone has ever seen and definitely not your normal wedding backdrop. With an extremely raw industrial venue there were challenges throughout the planning process and even more challenges on the day of the actual event. But that's were the Whitney Events team performs at their best!!! Because they are so skilled at what they do my husband and I were able to truly enjoy the entire day because we knew we were in good hands. Whitney Events had everything, and I mean everything, under control which allowed us time to dance, mingle with family and friends, and truly enjoy one of the biggest events in our lives!!
They are a professional team who guide you through the entire planning process, they are masters at maneuvering through any obstacles that arise and with their years of experience they make it all look so easy!!! In addition, Christina has a huge network of vendors at her finger tips that can provide just about anything you need to add any special touches to your day!
Whitney Events brought together the wedding of our daughter's dream in the rawest space ever!!! We owe the success of our daughter's wedding to Whitney Events!!! We could never have done it without them!!!

Seamless Execution Creating A Completely Relaxed Bride
Christina and her team were amazing! They completely captured my vision and personal elements combined with the right people and details to make it all come together seamlessly. From flowers & table settings down to the flow of how I wanted the speeches, they made it all work perfectly. From the beginning of the planning process, they made it so easy to narrow down vendors. They got an understanding of what we were looking for then sent us recommendations for venues, florists, bands and photographers. It made it so much less overwhelming planning a wedding in NYC. Communication was so easy, and they are completely responsive; an email late at night or a quick text always got a response. We chatted on a regular base to make sure everything was on track. They set up payment trackers and deadlines and made everything readily available in a shared drive. Our wedding day went off without a hitch! Everything was exactly where it was supposed to be and all the vendors were taken care of. A huge thanks for the perfect wedding
I cannot express to anyone how ESSENTIAL + VITAL it was to choose Whitney Events for our wedding planning + coordinating + day of go-getters. Let me start off by saying that our venue was super challenging + tough to navigate. Christina & Jennifer remained calm + cool during EVERY moment of chaos. They had our vision down to a tee + took TOTAL control. Every last detail. They knew exactly where everything needed to be placed. The two of them were so organized that it only helped us organize ourselves even better. My ENTIRE family is at a loss for words for our wedding day, and so are we. Whitney Events is not only super experienced but they care so much. They were so determined + passionate + talented- I am blown away about how lucky we got to have them. Christina, Jennifer, and Rachael (Rachael is from Sterling Affairs Caterers ) created the most perfect wedding day for us. I'm serious. From start to finish- not a thing went wrong. Jennifer was with me all day as I took photos. She kept us on our timeline + also was nothing but great energy for our big day. Jennifer also happened to make us our dream wedding cake. Christina, ran around literally hustled around the entire venue ( did I mention it is a factory!? so many floors, rooms, decor, outdoors, parking etc) + when our space was revealed to both Phil + I, everything was exactly what we wanted- AND BETTER. Rachel from Sterling Affairs + staff were OUT OF THIS WORLD. My family cannot get over that 240+ people got not only delicious food but HOT FOOD. I had multiple guests in the restaurant + service industry who speak nothing but the truth, they are still talking about this! Pearl + Nancy (apart of Sterling staff) took care of Phil + I the entire night. We had everything we needed. Without Whitney Events, we would have never found the hands down, best wedding food I have ever had. Please, if you do yourself one favor, hire this army to help you. I felt like the only woman on the planet who really had a tough time enjoying wedding planning. Truly hated thinking about all the things I had to do/answer to/decide on/pay for etc... Whitney Events honestly saved us in a way I could never repay them for. Phil and I are so convinced we threw the most EPIC wedding ever and I owe them 100 more reviews because this could never be enough. If we could do it again, we would want to be guests this time at our wedding! Let them take so much weight off your shoulders. It was the biggest gift to all of us to have been given the chance to be entirely present for this whole day. I felt our day lasted hours and hours and hours. It was because I had this army who gave us not a thing to worry about! I could go on forever. Whitney Events + Sterling Affair Caterers was the best investment we made. They are forever considered friends of this family.

I had no idea that “month of” planners existed until they were recommended to me and looking back, I don’t know what I would have done without them.
Christina was so on top of everyone (including me) that I have no idea how she was handling anything else at the same time. She really dedicated herself to making sure everything was perfect and went smoothly.
There were many times that I felt they just went above and beyond to help coordinate and make sure the day went off without a hitch, and I so appreciated that because I could not keep track of anything myself!
Not only were they professional and helpful, they are both just super sweet and awesome and amazing to deal with. They had really great insights and advice for me throughout the entire process. If I had an idea that really didn’t make sense- they told me- even if it meant less money for them, which showed me they were honest and really cared. They are just amazing and I loved working with them!

Whitney Events = the BEST INVESTMENT of my entire wedding!
I cannot say enough great things about Christina, Jen and the Whitney Events Team!! They are total pros. I joke that they could write a book about my wedding (we got married in July of 2019) as it was probably the most challenging wedding. Ever. But in all honesty, our wedding would never have happened without Christina and our wedding day ended up being more perfect than I could ever have imagined. It was the BEST day of our lives and I don't think I've ever been happier and filled with so much love and gratitude than on that day.
I'm the bride who has been envisioning her wedding day since she was five years old. I couldn't wait to experience the excitement of planning every detail and imagining a stress-free, well-organized several months leading up to the big day because I would be "on top" of everything, ahead of schedule! All of my vendors were booked 18 months out (Whitney Events was at the top of the vendor list) and I had my checklist of everything that needed to be done every week of every month. Fast-forward to the end of April, the Parisian-themed Bridal Shower that the Whitney Events team planned was incredible and so "Me" - all of my guests were blown away - it set the tone for what to expect and look forward to during the wedding weekend in July and I was thrilled! What happened next, actually feels ...surreal.
The week following my bridal shower, we found out that our wedding venue, that I booked 16 months prior, what I had envisioned for my black tie mansion wedding and actually had been a great find because it checked the boxes for so many things we needed, could no longer host us due to construction delays. With eight weeks to go, we had to find a new venue for 4th of July Weekend (the busiest weekend of the year), a caterer, rentals, a new block of rooms for our entire bridal party and families, shuttles, a new after party location and new brunch location. That same day we came home to a package - our beautiful invitations arrived ready to be stamped and mailed (including all of the - now - wrong information) - talk about adding salt to the wounds! And later that week, I found out that the company I worked for was about to be acquired, and it was unclear if I'd have a job by the time the wedding rolled around. So, with stress at an all-time high, wondering where we were going to have a wedding, how we were going to feed and lodge our guests, and, now, how we were actually going to pay for the wedding, we moved everything we saved for the wedding over to our Emergency Fund and then had a panic attack.
Now, I realized from the beginning that Christina knows her stuff, she has the experience, the best relationships with partners/venues/vendors, a great eye for style and detail and creates incredible events - I knew she would be the only person I could trust to actually pull off my dream wedding. But I cannot express how much more important she became in our lives. From the moment we heard about the venue through all the job uncertainty, she remained calm and level-headed. She was our rock and our trusted advisor, always five steps ahead of us guiding us along the way until eventually...we saw the light. She negotiated like the badass boss she is, fought and pushed for us as we worked out a displacement fee and started planning our wedding all over again. She and Jen made extra trips out to see us to do site visits of all the venues that were still available, they drew up cost comparisons on four of them - essentially four completely new wedding price options. They set up calls with caterers and phoned in favors with their preferred vendors to do everything they could for their couple who just lost their venue and a Bride who was on the verge of losing her job...and quite possibly on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Christina made herself available, however many times a day, to listen, to let me vent, to let me cry, to be there for us. She was the first to tell me that what I was feeling was normal or if I was overthinking or if I just needed to calm down and breathe. I could always count on her to be honest with me and I greatly appreciated her opinions on where we should spend our money and where she felt it would be a waste or go unnoticed.
Four weeks out from our wedding, we still didn't have a venue, but Christina came up with a never-before-seen solution: we sent reprinted invitations that said "Surprise Location...visit our website to find out where we're getting married" to buy us time because we were waiting to find out if our top venue choice could obtain their entertainment license in time. We signed with them a couple days later just in time to add their details to our website as guests opened up our invitations. Two weeks before the wedding, we signed with our caterer (no time for a tasting). The week of my wedding, my company was officially acquired and I found out that I would transition over to the new company. I still had a job!
Our wedding weekend was a whirlwind and AMAZING. My husband and I had never experienced as much stress in our lives as we did in those eight weeks and while we received so much outreach, love and support from family and friends, it was Christina and the Whitney Events Team that got us through it all. We are incredibly grateful and we don't think we'll ever be able to properly thank them enough! Our wedding day was incredible, the Whitney Events team took care of everything and made us feel so special and spoiled! While there are many people to thank who contributed to helping make that day beyond our wildest dreams, we have to highlight one person who worked so egregiously hard to make everything happen and that person is Christina from Whitney Events. Christina has been unbelievable. Christina has calmed us down during every conversation, she has told us the right move to make, she has been loving, caring and authoritative. Honestly, she's just incredible. Everything our guests and my wife (!!) and I got to experience would not have happened without Christina being the way she is. Christina and Jen did an amazing job of making our dream wedding a reality! From the moment we first met with Christina, they were helpful and thoughtful and ready to guide us. They seem to know every venue and vendor in the city. They provided detailed, handy timelines and instructions, and were consistently checking in to make sure we kept on schedule and didn't have any questions or issues (and when we did have worries, they did a great job of calming us down). They were full of fun suggestions to make our wedding special, and when we had unusual ideas of our own, they always came through with ways to execute them. On the day of the event, they took complete charge of all the vendors and logistics so that we could focus on having the best day ever... which we did. Great experience with Whitney Events!
Whitney Events was spectacular! We already had our venue and band booked when we hired them but they helped with everything else. As my husband and I have difficulty making decisions sometimes, we found it very helpful to have Whitney Events suggest vendors that they work with and trust and then we could narrow it down to the ones who would be perfect for us. We were very happy with every vendor they recommended (florist, hair, makeup, invitations). Having their expertise especially in the month prior to the wedding when you are nailing down all the details was a big help. Our wedding day was perfect and everything went smoothly. Christina and Jen were there to make sure shuttles, speeches, etc. were on time and we didn't give a thought to it. We were supposed to have our ceremony take place outside but due to rain we ended up having it inside but I never even cared or thought about it because they handled everything and made sure that the ceremony indoors was absolutely gorgeous.
They were also a big help in figuring out what to do for our favors. Jen ended up baking blueberry muffins, including glutenfree, and helped us find really cute packaging for them. Everyone loved it and the muffins were delicious.
Christina and Jen are professional, kind, hard-working, attentive to detail, and great to work with. We 100% recommend them!

Perfect choice for a perfect event
We are able to say without hesitation that Whitney Events is THE choice for your flawless event.
Christina and team were with us right from the start of our planning process. We had some very lofty goals and Christina helped us to achieve them. We threw plenty of challenges her way, such as changing our venue halfway through the planning process to a different state she had not previously worked in, and they were all handled seamlessly.
Christina has great connections not only in the New York area but throughout the Northeast. The vendors that she is able to put you in touch with will only make your wedding that much better. She has very high standards for who she chooses to work with. As you will learn working with her, she likes to get things done and selects vendors who are the same way. She has a very impressive way of directing an entire team of people to pull off an amazing event.
Where Christina and her team really shined was on the day of the event. We didn't worry about ANYTHING. We were able to totally relax and experience the pure bliss of our wedding. We had 3 different musical performers, 3 different caterers, and 200 guests in the middle of a field with no water or electricity and it went off without a hitch. We are sure that behind the scenes there was a lot of running around and coordinating going on, but we didn't feel any stress whatsoever. My wife and I basically turned our wedding over to Christina with about a month to go and were able to really enjoy that time while she handled all of the logistics. The wedding day itself went incredibly smoothly as she handled all of the various issues that presented themselves so we could truly enjoy our day. I cant describe how fortunate we were to find Christina Whitney to plan our wedding. We met with her at a Starbucks near our place, had a getting to know you conversation, and heard about what she and the rest of Whitney Events NY could offer. My now husband had aspirations to plan our wedding himself (since I was finishing my residency and wanted a much smaller event) that he was hesitant about hiring a planner at all. That lasted for exactly the length of our meeting. She was so professional and put together and had a personality that we knew would mesh amazingly with ours (as well as similar musical tastes). We walked out of the Starbucks, looked at each other and said "she's the one" and immediately turned back inside to hire her! From that day on Christina was so helpful and flexible, easily reached by phone, text or email. Our wedding wasn't held at a traditional hall and we had SIX locations on our wedding timeline! Due to Christina’s incredible knack for timing we made it to all our locations, were able to take all the pictures we we wanted, enjoy our cocktail hour and even eat at our reception, with time to spare! Christina’s experience with vendors, contracts and NY really helped us navigate all of the details and options, pros/cons without abandoning her sense of reality from experience and our budget. There was HUGE value in having someone knowledgeable in both the catering and wedding industry to ask questions, navigate and negotiate options, and plan for details we didn’t even know existed. All of the vendors she recommended to us were incredible, affordable and a true pleasure to work with. Christina is my new best friend!!! :))) Okay in all seriousness, she's the best planner anyone can ask for, in my own humble opinion. Initially, I was planning on hiring a Day Of Coordinator, but given that our wedding timeline was pretty short (we got engaged in December and wanted to get married only a few months later, in July), I figured it would be best to hire her as a partial planner. I would've definitely hired her as a full planner but since we already had the venue picked out and I had already bought my dress, a partial planner made more sense in this case. She didn't feel like a partial planner though, not at all. She felt like she was my own personal planner and best friend, as if she didn't have anyone else's wedding to plan but mine :) That's not true of course lol but that's how special she made me feel, like I was the most important bride. Christina is truly amazing. She is super professional, soooo organized and on top of things, and she made my life so much easier since I'm super organized myself and have OCD tendencies since I have different lists for everything in my life! Lol. I feel like we definitely complimented each other since we both communicated in list-form all the time :) which I can tell was heaven for both of us! Haha. I'm honestly so grateful to have found her. She always provided the best advice throughout the whole process and I always trusted her judgement. She has a very positive attitude, was always calm and collected, and always had a solution for everything. Christina was a pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend her enough! We hired her as a "day of coordinator," but her work exceeded far beyond "day of." From the moment we hired Christina, she was easily available via email and phone to answer any questions or concerns we had during the planning phase. Christina was *meant to be our wedding coordinator* -- after meeting with her knowing that she had done coordination at our venue before, it turned out that she was somehow mutual friends with my make-up artist, and I can't remember the other coincidence but you'll have to take my word for it. She went far above and beyond what I had anticipated she would do, and was super patient with me throughout. I loved her down-to-earth, calm and authoritative (but not authoritarian or bossy) demeanor and her dry sense of humor, especially given our wacky ideas -- all that she went with & totally backed us up on! The wedding really was beyond our expectations; we kind of thought it'd look the budget (which was probably not as flexible as many others who marry in NYC!) but thanks to Christina's killer instincts we just felt so at ease and it looked A-MAZING. (I just wish I could remember all it, they are not kidding when they tell you that it flies by and you don't get to eat. Because it did, and I didn't. Anyway.) THANK YOU CHRISTINA! We got married! Turns out that planning a no-frills, minimalist wedding in Manhattan is as hard, or harder, than planning a traditional one!
We wanted our wedding to be a big loft cocktail party, with a 20-minute ceremony in the middle somewhere. Late night, no dinner, no cake, some snacks, little-to-no decorations, a full bar, great music, and a packed dance floor. That’s it.
When we were trying to plan it alone… we had trouble finding vendors, since they all wanted to make us have dinner/heavy appetizers/decorations/big floral arrangements/etc. And we were majorly hesitant to shell out $$$ on things we *didn’t even want.*
But we honestly almost bought into all of that, simply because we thought we’d wouldn’t find a different way.
However, enter Ms. Christina Whitney to (literally) save the day!
She was the first Planner we met, and instantly knew she “got” us. She was no-pressure, understood what we were after, and gave us some great ideas. We knew she wouldn’t try to force-fit us into the (often way too expensive) Industrial Wedding Complex mold.
She called up her *own friends* to do our charcuterie boards and floral arrangements, who jumped in for our plan and budget! Mixing friends and business is always risky, so we’re immensely grateful she went out on a limb for us.
At the last minute, we found out our DJ didn’t have a microphone set up for the ceremony and I nearly fainted at the thought of having to scream our vows over a crowd. I do not know how Christina fixed this, but darn-straight she got us a mic… and I didn’t faint.
Honestly, whether you have the big, traditional dream wedding, a picnic in the park, an elaborate brunch, or a big loft party like ours, Christina will pull it off. And she’ll do it on budget, calmly, firmly, & with attention.

Christina and Angelo were amazing! They were so helpful, organized, responsible and responsive. Angelo was with me the day of my wedding and he was ON POINT and SO amazingly helpful with everything. He reassured me everything was totally fine and was cool and calm through the wedding day chaos. TOTALLY LOVE HIM and would recommend him / Whitney Events 100x over!
