We just had our wedding this past weekend and it was such an incredible experience at Water’s Edge. Everyone was so attentive and took care of us and our guests. Melody was the absolute best! She has been amazing and so helpful throughout the entire planning and day of process. Due to weather we had to change cocktail hour inside and it happened seamlessly. Our guests raved about the food and cake! The staff during the reception always made sure my husband and I had food and ate while it was hot and constantly making sure our drinks were full. The views from every room are amazing and will make for great photos. It was truly a magical weekend for us. We are so happy we chose Water’s Edge for our wedding! -

A Beautiful Venue with the Most Amazing Team!
We had the absolute best experience hosting our wedding at Water’s Edge! Our coordinator, Lindsey Dizenzo, was amazing from start to finish. She was so responsive, organized, and enthusiastic throughout the entire process. I sent her countless emails with questions, and she always replied within a few days with thoughtful, helpful answers. While the venue has set pricing for many of their packages, Lindsey was flexible and creative in helping us make substitutions or swaps that fit our vision. She and the entire Water’s Edge team were incredible with setup and breakdown, and thanks to their support, I was able to plan and execute everything without a separate wedding planner. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. Our guests had a wonderful weekend enjoying the hotel, beach, pool, and all the amenities. We loved having the restaurants and bars right on the property, especially for the after-party! Even though there were a couple of other weddings that weekend, everything ran seamlessly — no conflicts or overlaps at all. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Water’s Edge and Lindsey made our wedding weekend unforgettable! -

My husband & I got married this past September at Water's Edge and we couldn't recommend this venue more. Melody was our wedding manager. She was outstanding. She was very responsive, kind, organized, and accommodating. She made the day as smooth as it could possibly be. I felt very prepared going into the wedding day and did not feel bombarded with questions. She remembered every small detail I asked and executed amazingly! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding! I loved the wedding weekend resort vibe where we were able to have all of our events (rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, farewell breakfast) in one place. Water’s Edge took care of everything from the food to the decorating, which made the whole weekend flow seamlessly. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was, and being able to have a signature cocktail named after our dog was a very special detail. The staff were wonderful to work with and we were so grateful for their professionalism and support throughout the planning process. I could not recommend Water’s Edge more! -

We could not have asked for a more incredible experience than the one we had at Water’s Edge. From start to finish, everything was truly perfect. A huge part of that was thanks to our incredible wedding coordinator, Melody.
First, the venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. The Royal Ballroom was absolutely stunning and set the stage for a coastal romantic reception. The view is unmatched, especially if weather allows your ceremony down at the lawn and cocktail hour at the patio. We would argue it is hands down one of the most beautiful venues on the water in Connecticut.
But what made our day truly seamless was Melody. She was kind, patient, professional, and always available to listen. From our first meeting (and our never ending list of questions), she made us feel heard by carefully taking note of all our ideas, requests, and changes. She brought our vision to life and did so with the calm, reassuring presence every couple hopes for during the planning process.
On our wedding day, Melody made sure everything ran smoothly so we could simply enjoy the moment. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Though the wedding coordinators at WE do not stay during the reception, the kitchen and wait staff were absolutely incredible and followed the timeline to a T. The staff were incredibly friendly and very organized.
We are beyond grateful for Melody and the entire team at Water’s Edge. If you’re considering this venue, do it. You will be in the best hands, and your wedding day will be everything you dreamed of. -

We had our wedding at Water’s Edge Resort and Spa on August 14th, and words can’t even begin to capture how mesmerizing the entire experience was. From the charm and character of the Suites itself to the breathtaking ocean views, it felt like something out of a dream.
The staff went above and beyond. by far some of the most genuine, kind, and caring people we’ve ever met. Our coordinator, Melody, was an absolute angel. She made sure we didn’t have a single worry on our wedding day. Everything was set perfectly. The venue, the reception space, the food – all flawlessly prepared and beautifully executed.
Because of Melody and the amazing team, we were able to truly be present and focus on getting married without a single stress. The food was phenomenal, the service was seamless, and the entire day was unforgettable.
We couldn’t have asked for a more magical and memorable moment. Water’s Edge will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we’re already looking forward to returning to relive the magic again.

I got married on July 19, 2025 and I'm writing this about a month later and I'm still coming down from the high. I can't tell you how many people raved about how beautiful the venue was...how amazing the food was... how kind the staff was. Melody Zielke was my wedding manager and she is a godsend. I think I was the calmest bride on the planet the day of my wedding. She checked on me constantly and went above and beyond to make everything PERFECT. My wedding day was PERFECT! Melody actually genuinely cares for her brides and very much goes above and beyond to make your dream come true. My wedding was actually better than I imagined thanks to Melody and the rest of the Water's Edge team. She was so patient with me... I had at least 40 different email chains with Melody throughout the wedding planning process. She is not only phenomenal at her job but also a genuinely amazing sweet human being. I was so blessed to have Melody throughout this wedding process. The best best best BEST day of my life. If you're considering having your wedding at Water's Edge, look no further... and ask for Melody!! -

We chose Water’s Edge for our August 2025 wedding because of the beautiful views, outstanding service, and inclusive wedding package. It was truly the perfect venue for us! We loved that our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all took place on-site with the stunning ocean views. We greatly appreciated having a wedding manager to assist in planning and day-of coordination. We had a fantastic experience working with Lindsey, who supported us from start to finish!
If you’re looking for a one-stop shop scenic venue, this is it! You’ll need to book your entertainment, florals, and photographer. Water’s Edge can do the rest, significantly reducing the number of vendors you need. Our package included a complimentary stay the evening of our wedding, a couple’s massage at the resort's spa, and a complimentary anniversary dinner at the resort. I also purchased my wedding dress from Michele’s Bridal Boutique at Water’s Edge and received a 10% discount for being a Water’s Edge bride.
We can’t thank the Water’s Edge staff enough. Everyone at the resort – the valets, our food service team, our bartenders, the wedding team, etc. – was friendly, responsive, and ensured a seamless event. Thank you! We can’t wait to return for our anniversary.

Water’s Edge was able to accommodate a very small and intimate wedding for us with many flexible days to pick from. Our wedding manager Lindsey was great from the start answering all questions in a timely manor. The day before she met us when we arrived and walked us through the day from start to finish. Our wedding day was flawless, thanks to her. Food and wait staff exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend Waters Edge Resort & Spa for any special events.

Easiest wedding!
I have only planned one wedding, but it was so easy to do. Planning the wedding from Florida, Water’s Edge made it so easy. I was only responsible for hair & make up, a DJ,
Florist and a photographer. Melody was my on site coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. She was very attentive and made sure the day went on without an issue. I have received so many compliments from friends and family about how beautiful the venue was, how easy it was being located in one place and how much fun they had. It was an amazing experience and I’m so glad I picked here for my wedding! -

We loved having our wedding at Water’s Edge! From the very beginning, Lindsey, our wedding manager, was absolutely incredible. She was organized, responsive, and so calm under pressure, which made all the difference, especially when we had to make a last-minute decision to move the ceremony indoors due to rain.
Even with the change in plans, everything was seamless. Lindsey and the team transformed the indoor space into something absolutely beautiful. It still felt magical and intimate, and our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the setting, the food, and the overall experience.
The venue itself is stunning, with gorgeous views, elegant details, and a staff that clearly cares about making your day perfect. We’re so grateful to have celebrated our wedding at Water’s Edge, and even more grateful for Lindsey and Kara’s support throughout the entire process. Highly recommend for any couple looking for a beautiful coastal venue! -

I wanted to tell you how extraordinarily pleased we were with the wedding at Watersedge. From accommodating the ‘mom coming with Flowers’ right before the ceremony and several nervous jitter meetings in between. Many phone calls and emails back-and-forth which were always answered immediately by you. On behalf of Yvonne and myself we just want to say a super. Thank you to you. You always had a smile on your face even though I knew at times, you probably were paddling like a duck, hoping that everything would go as we had planned. But you were the professional and we trusted in you to make the day amazingly perfect. Which you did. The ceremony accommodations were beautiful. The table placements, for the guests were spot on. And you moved the bouquets for both moms as requested. All in all it was a beautiful day. I can’t think of one thing that went wrong. And if it did, I didn’t notice. Which I guess makes it perfect. Thank you so much for all of your attentiveness and your fantastic personality. You made everything go smoothly.
You even came out to the car before the bride got out to see if we needed anything, which was very unexpected and appreciated because I did need a water badly. We had a great time and a great experience and will pass it on to any of my friends who have children getting married. It was definitely a smooth ride. Thank you for being you, I think if you were any other personality type, it might’ve gone differently. But you are so flexible and accommodating.

Waterfront Wedding of our Dreams!!!
Our wedding at Water’s Edge was the most BEAUTIFUL day we could have ever imagined!!! We got married on site at Water’s Edge on July 13th 2024. Our coordinator, Lindsey, was absolutely incredible to work with and she brought every detail we pictured to life. She was so flexible and responsive throughout the entire planning process from start to finish, answering the millions of questions we threw at her. On the day of, it rained all morning so we had to change plans for our ceremony and cocktail hour on the lawn- Lindsey went above and beyond and was able to still have both of these outdoors! It was very obvious that her and her team genuinely cared about giving us everything we wanted on our special day. Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the service, the FOOD, and just overall how beautiful the resort was. Many of them even turned the event into a weekend vacation! We ourselves stayed for the Sunday brunch buffet and spent the whole day at the pool the day after the wedding (would definitely recommend this!) Our reception was so beautiful, every single detail executed exactly as we had planned it, all thanks to Lindsey’s attention to detail and careful thought. If you are looking for a coastal and elegant waterfront wedding venue, a place that feels like a destination wedding right here in CT, then Water’s Edge is definitely the place. We had the pleasure of working with Water's Edge Resort and Spa for a year and a half leading up to our wedding, and it was truly a fantastic experience. As busy professionals, we appreciated the convenience of having everything in one place – from food to cake to our welcome dinner. The staff went above and beyond, from Michael, our bartender, to Guillermo, who surprised us with a private set of cocktail hour snacks after the ceremony. Melody, our wedding coordinator, was great to work with every step of the way, keeping us on track with all the deadlines and always being responsive and helpful to our many questions.

We had an absolutely beautiful ceremony on the lawn with the water in the background. It was such a perfect day, and Melody and the Water’s Edge staff helped us every step of the way! They were also very accommodating for all of the special requests we had, like allowing us to have wristbands for the bad area after the reception to distinguish our wedding guests for the tab, and for bringing us pizza at the tail end of the reception. One thing that could’ve been a little better is the explanation of all the details of the ceremony at the rehearsal. For example, it wasn’t explained to us where exactly the bridesmaids should hold their flowers, and my Maid of Honor wasn’t told to hand her flowers to the next bridesmaid while I hand her my flowers, and she wasn’t told to fix my dress. My dad also was unsure as to what he was supposed to do when he got me up to the alter. Other than that, everything was absolutely stunning and if you get married at Water’s Edge, I promise your vision will come to life!Water's Edge Resort and Spa's reply:

Water’s Edge Got on the top of Our wedding List where we wanted to get married and for our guests to enjoy the stunning view, food, and entertainment for our. wedding. The team of professionals assisted us, gave us options, and more flexibility on a lot of things to meet our wedding venue and reception needs. Our wedding was everything we could've dreamed of! Leading up to the day Melody was very responsive to all of our questions and inquiries and on the day of the wedding she was very attentive and helpful! The weather was a bit iffy on our day and melody kept us in the loop on the plan the whole day. They did everything in their power to keep the ceremony outside which was our desire and it wound up being outside and on the lower lawn as planned which we were thrilled and very appreciative! The rest of the waters edge staff was incredible as well; they set up everything perfectly and were very helpful with moving everything from our cars and dealing with guest inquiries. Grace was very attentive also to us during our reception which we are very appreciative of! Our wedding party was also raving about how attentive everyone was. They brought us down food and drinks from the cocktail hour when we were taking pictures which everyone was super thankful for! Overall, everything just ran so smoothly and we had the night we always dreamed of. Our guests had so many amazing compliments as well and loved the entire night! Perfect Day made complete by the venue!
I cannot express my complete satisfaction enough with Water's Edge for our wedding. From start to finish everything was handled with professionalism and care. Melody who was our coordinator was in constant contact with me making sure all the details were taking care of! She truly listened and accomplished all that I wanted for our special day. Loved water’s edge!

I got married here 11/5/23, everything went absolutely PERFECT! Melody was our wedding coordinator she made sure everything went smooth and was on top of everything. Melody checked in with us constantly, was so patient with all of our constant changes just overall sweet and caring. If you’re getting married at the Waters Edge which I highly recommend you should also request Melody!

WOW best venue
Absolutely blown away by the team from start to finish! We had mostly out of town guests and Flo was so accommodating in helping secure rooms. Melody and Haleigh were fantastic and very responsive with all of my questions to make my dream wedding come true. Couldn’t recommend Waters Edge enough from the stunning venue to the A+ team! -

To be able to tell you about our experience with the team at The Water's Edge, we first must share a bit of our story. In the last several months, we lost our baby daughter, my wife almost died during childbirth, my mother passed away, and our beloved dog passed away. It sounds completely impossible, but it was our truth. After our heartbreaking experience with our daughter, and almost losing my wife, we decided to try and pursue happiness every day we possibly could. That is when my wife decided that we should get married.
Her family has been owners at The Water's Edge for many years, so she had grown up watching all the beautiful brides from the balcony of their condo unit every summer. She wanted so much to be married at this venue for as long as she could remember.
We would have loved to host a grand party to celebrate our love, but that was not in our budget after the struggling year we've had. The team at The Water's Edge worked with us to secure an intimate wedding event, and allowing my wife to be the beautiful bride walking down the aisle, admired from the balconies surrounding her.
We had such a limited time to plan our wedding. The assistance and expertise from the staff - particularly Melody, were paramount to the success of our special day.
Melody was in constant contact with us, and was gracious and kind. She responded quickly everytime we reached out with a question, and always provided reassurance that everything would be beautiful.
And beautiful it was!
We had a weather scare, and she coordinated everything so that we could still have our dream of being married on the large lawn overlooking the water - yet be safely inside shortly after in case the skies opened up.
Melody and Hailey offered smiles to our guests, helped ensure everything ran smoothly - and even took time to take videos of our ceremony when they noticed we did not have a videographer.
Every moment of our wedding happened because of the care this team took. We didn't feel rushed, or processed. We didn't feel like cookie cutters. Everything about it was us - and ours. This is all thanks to Melody and Hailey.
They truly made a dream wedding a reality, with very limited resources. Their creativity, flexibility and kindness will never be forgotten. We needed this day so much, to help heal and find our joy. We got it- and so much more.
A month out --- and we're still basking in the glow of our beautiful day.

Outstanding Service
We were married here on May 7, 2023, and while we had a very short engagement (5 months), staff made our special day so perfect that it felt to our guests that we had been planning for at least a year. The venue sells itself with it’s beautiful views and the staff made booking a no-brainer. From our
introduction to Kara during our visit, to our connection with Melody and Hailey during the planning phase, and the final pass off to James at the reception, everyone took such great care of us and made a typically anxiety-provoking experience seamless! Kara, Melody, Hailey, and James are the true definitions of professional, courteous, kind, and helpful. Melody and Hailey went above and beyond when surprising us by setting up our altar columns and centerpieces exactly as we wanted them without any instructions/photos! If you are thinking about WE, book here, you will not be disappointed - they make magic happen! -

When we first booked with Water's Edge, we scheduled for June 13, 2020 — One pandemic and two postponements later, we happily married on August 29, 2021. The Water's Edge staff, especially our wedding coordinator Nancy Steele, were especially gracious through uncertainties and rearranging of our wedding plans as we navigated through the start of the unprecedented "COVID era." As stressful as postponing was, Nancy and the Water's Edge staff were supportive throughout the experience and helped us remain enthusiastic about our Wedding Day throughout our extended three-year engagement. At Water's Edge, even in these unprecedented times, our peace of mind was cared for throughout. When it came down to holding potential new dates (in case more restrictions came to be), Water's Edge was thoughtful and fair about providing us the next best possible date to accommodate new revised plans. We appreciate their transparency during these difficult times and are grateful how they handled our various needs. Although our original 2020 date could not come to be (due to circumstances outside of our venue's control), everything else surrounding our 8/29/2021 went beautifully according to plan. When our "Big Day" at Water's Edge finally came to be, it was an absolute dream -- and after everything the Water's Edge staff and we had gone through together, we felt closer to Nancy and the Water's Edge staff than ever before. We could feel the genuine care and Joy the Water's Edge staff authentically shared with us when we *finally* were able to have our Wedding Day in the safest and most joyous way possible -- our Gratitude was truly through the roof. As a former 2020 turned 2021 "corona bride," I learned that Water's Edge and their trusted staff truly care for the couples getting married at their venue and that their customers can trust that they're in good hands -- we certainly were! Fantastic venue with even better wedding team!
My husband and I began planning our October 2020 wedding at Water’s Edge in 2018 with Nancy, one of their wedding coordinators. From the beginning Nancy was very responsive and answered any questions we had. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we had to change our plans. We heard so many horror stories about other venues so we were nervous when we decided to move our date, but Nancy couldn’t have been more accommodating. Her only goal was making sure we had exactly the wedding we had dreamed of—and that’s exactly what happened. We still got married in 2020 but pushed our reception back one year to October 2021 and did a vow renewal ceremony. Our whole wedding party, parents, etc made a weekend out of it and stayed at the resort and we had our rehearsal dinner in one of their ballrooms. Everything was perfect from the minute we walked into the door. Our vow renewal ceremony and reception was exactly what we had dreamed of when we booked Water’s Edge in 2018. There was some rain the day of our ceremony and Nancy was very communicative through the entire day, watching the weather, and helping us decide what to do. During our reception, we had 2 attendants dedicated to us to make sure we had drinks, we ate, etc—they were fantastic!
Our guests raved about the delicious food, and what an incredible time they had and I believe that is because of how great everyone at Water’s Edge is.

My fiance and I chose to get married at Water's Edge after he proposed to me there and after having such good prior experiences.
Our wedding was in December so the best part about getting married here at this time was that there were minimal to no guests at the hotel. We were able to take photos across the grounds and didn't need to worry about people in their bathing suits walking by and staring. It was also great because it was decorated for Christmas and the trees and lights inside just made it even more beautiful.
The food was fantastic, we did a tasting of the whole menu and had a hard time making up our mind for not only the entrees, but even the passed apps and starters. The chef worked with us on a few minor requests we had and truly did a great job with everything that came out. HIGHLY recommend the duck spring rolls and the short ribs. The open bar was perfect and our bar tender for the night (Jenny) did not let a moment go by without us having a drink in our hands! She was great!
Nancy was our wedding planner and I can't say anything but huge positives about our experience with her. Nancy was not only on top of everything, but just seemed to do everything behind the scenes without needing too much from us. She was detailed, organized and made the day go by seamlessly. She also has a great sense of humor!
All in all, I couldn't have asked for anything better. I highly recommend this place for the scenery, the people you work with, and the amazing food. What else do you need?! -

The overall level of service we received with Waters Edge Resort & Spa was 5 out of 5 stars. We worked with Shelby Eriksson for over 2 years and she was so helpful and super responsive throughout the entire planning process. Due to COVID, we ended up postponing our big celebration from October 2020 to October 2021 - and Water’s Edge was beyond accommodating with this adjustment. We ended up having a micro-wedding on our original date, and Shelby was there to help coordinate that day as well!
We finally got to have our big wedding celebration this past weekend, and it was absolutely perfect. It was a pleasure to work with Shelby (and Emma) as they made everything a breeze. There was even another wedding on the property that day — but Water’s Edge definitely has their process down because we didn’t even notice. The views are outstanding & our guests are still talking about how good the food was. We would highly recommend Water's Edge Resort & Spa for a wedding venue. We can't wait to go back there on future anniversaries to relive these moments! -

I really enjoyed my Wedding experience at Water's Edge. Shelby was a great coordinator, and helped us immensely all the way up to the the day-of. Parts of their offered packages are customizable, and as I'm not a fan of cake, I was able to order crème brûlée instead :). So I'd say they are quite flexible and willing to accommodate within reason. I would 100% recommend them as a venue to a friend, or as a resort in general! -

Loved Water's Edge!
Shelby was great to work with. My wedding planner was impressed with how responsive and solution-focused she was on our wedding day. The venue is great for large or smaller wedding receptions. You can't beat the view from the Grand Ballroom! Food was great. Scallops were the best! All my guests from Texas loved the New England feel and beautiful Long Island sound views. -

From the moment we reached out to Water’s Edge Resort and Spa about our wedding, we knew we were in good hands. Ariana greeted us with kindness and excitement and that never changed for the year and half we worked with her on planning our wedding. To say she was on top of her game is an understatement. Ariana is the type of person that truly wants you to have the best day of your life. She is incredibly passionate about what she does and she works very hard to ensure that your day is everything you could ever dream. Ariana’s team includes Shelby and Emma and they are an amazing extension of the wedding department. Each of these ladies makes sure you feel like a princess and will run around like crazy to make sure you have everything you need when you are being pulled in a million directions ( a big thank you to you girls for finding that bustle! 😊) The warmth and professionalism didn’t just stop with Ariana and her team; it permeated throughout the entire staff at the resort. Charlotte at the front desk was an angel. She made sure our room was perfect and every time we entered the front lobby she had a smile and the sweetest things to say. A big thank you to Front Desk Manager, Tracy for all your flexibility with our room changes! If you have ever eaten at Water’s Edge, you know the food is incredible! My husband and I had both our Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding at Water’s Edge and they did not disappoint. Everything was absolutely delicious and the drinks brought a very fun party both nights! The Director of Food and Beverage, Jeffrey made sure our every need was met with our drinks and food for the weekend. Last but not least, a huge THANK YOU to all the servers and bartenders who made our night run so smoothly. We received so many compliments from our guests about the servers and bartenders at our wedding. I honestly lost count with how many people just raved about how professional and polite everyone was. Maureen, I know this has to do with the hard work you put in to oversee the servers and we truly appreciate your attention to detail. Thank you to our AMAZING server Danielle who made sure our every need was met at the sweetheart table, I never had an empty glass of water or champagne and the warmth she shared with us the entire night will never be forgotten. Mike, Linda and Mike (two Mikes don’t know their last names… sorry!) did an amazing job at the bar. They are for sure the reason the dance floor was never empty and our Bentley-Tini was truly on-point! Our wedding was truly a dream come true and a day we will remember for the rest of our lives. When you are looking for affordable elegance in a classic New England shoreline setting, Water's Edge is the perfect venue to make everyone feel special. Our planner Ariana and the extended wedding team were fabulous start to finish. Ariana's team worked through all the details and stayed with us all through the event to ensure every moment went smoothly. From Friday night's rehearsal dinner, after evening beach fire to Saturday's wedding & reception and Sunday's family breakfast, everything was perfectly timed, beautifully set, and delicious. My experience with Water's Edge was exceptional. Shelby is professional, friendly, understanding and helpful. We couldn't be happier with the entire process. COVID was something that stressed me out a lot and Shelby always gave us the best guidance and helped me feel better about an uncertain situation. We got married on May 29, 2021, it was cold and rainy out. Everything was inside, which is not exactly what I wanted but with that said, it was better than I could have ever imagined. The food was great, I keep getting compliments on it. Everything looked absolutely beautiful. When they say your wedding day goes by fast, they aren't kidding. Soak every moment you can up, and pick Water's Edge. They know what they are doing and you will enjoy every moment. Also, all of our vendors complimented Shelby.Water's Edge Resort and Spa's reply:

Shelby and her team will make you feel like royalty!
If you are lucky enough to work with Shelby you are in for an amazing wedding planning process! Shelby and her team bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable with our wedding arrangements during Covid and made sure our guests were comfortable too! Food is phenomenal, drinks cannot be better and the cake, oh my god that cake!!! From start to finish you will feel like Shelby is your best friend planning your wedding for you! The Water's Edge is a beautiful place to get married, or even just to get away! We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside and the reception inside. The wedding coordinators were very nice and helpful. The day of the wedding they made sure you didn't have to worry about anything and they had servers following us around the whole time to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted. -

We had the most amazing experience. Ariana and Jenny were so outstanding with everything they did for us! So attentive to our needs. They were truly our right hands the entire night. Water's Edge Resort & Spa was able to give us the feel of a "destination wedding" without all of the travel. Our wedding day was magical and made even better by the wonderful services at Water's Edge Resort & Spa. Our wedding coordinator, Ariana, was in contact with me and my mother throughout the process of getting everything scheduled and arranged. Upon arriving at Water's Edge, I was greeted by Ariana and Emma, who handled all of my affairs up to my saying "I do". My husband and I had a wonderful server, Ed, who took care of all of our needs during the cocktail hour and reception. Our bridal party had other servers assigned to them, which was an extra special touch. Our guests had a great time, loved the food as well as the beauty of your facility. Our wedding was perfect and Water's Edge Resort & Spa exceeded our expectations! Thank you again. -

My family has been going to Water's edge since before I was born. Growing up I would watch all of the brides walk down the lawn with their father's to their soon to be husbands. I knew back then this is where I wanted my wedding to be. 26 years later my dream came true, Ariana was our wedding planner and she was amazing. The minute I would send an email with questions I was getting a response back instantly. If I ever needed to speak with her on the phone there was no wait time. I had many back surgeries in between planning the wedding and she was there every step of the way helping our family in whatever way she could including re-arranging meetings and food tastings if we could not make it down there due to the surgeries. She is very informative and the day of the wedding is constantly checking up on everybody and keeping everybody on track - including the GUYS. Ladies, you want this! She keeps tabs on them, keeps them on a schedule, and gets everybody set up! We had a HUGE bridal party so let me tell you, she was wonderful to have! Ariana was there during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and even reception. If you have questions regarding vendors, chances are she knows the answer! If you want a fairy tale wedding, with additional help, and great food this is the place you need to book. The add ons are awesome as well - the pub bar and ice cream stations were big hits - we had a big wedding and they accommodated for a large group in anything we added. We did extend our wedding until midnight which I highly recommend. There are a lot of brides who look back and wish something was different on their big day/night, I can look back and say everything was perfect. It was the best day of my life. -

Water's Edge was the perfect wedding venue for my wife and I. Living in Boston, and with some family/friends based in NJ and central CT, the location was ideal. And that view? Really can't beat it, with the price range we had. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather, but if it had rained I know the staff would have handled Plan B perfectly- a big reason we chose this venue. As a same sex couple. we were a little nervous during the venue search. However, we were greeted by Water's Edge staff with open arms, and treated with respect from day 1. Sadly not the case with all vendors in CT. Things we especially loved: minimal decorations were needed because the grounds are already gorgeous, and the Royal Ballroom was recently updated as of April 2019. We rented a villa (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living space and kitchen area, and private water front balcony). At check-in they provide golf cart service and will help with carrying all of your bags, too. (My parents really appreciated this service). My wife and I got ready here in separate bedrooms of the villa- no stress, no worries with logistics. One stop shop. We had our rehearsal dinner onsite, hosted a wedding morning yoga session (led by a friend) by the Gazebo with 20 of our closest girlfriends, then hosted a champagne toast/continental breakfast afterwards in our villa. It made our wedding day feel more like an epic weekend instead of just a 5 hour event. If this venue is in your price range, I highly recommend!! We got married at Water's Edge in July 2018 and everything was fantastic! Kate, our wedding coordinator was fabulous throughout the whole wedding planning process. Kate was responsive to all of our emails and questions, she was able to provide clear answers and great suggestions. She worked with us to make our day exactly what we wanted. The day of the wedding, not only was Kate attentive, but so was the rest of the Water's Edge staff. I can't express enough how helpful, kind, and professional the whole staff was! They truly worked together as a team to make our wedding go off seamlessly! We have received rave reviews from our guests about the venue and the staff, we can't thank everyone enough for making our dream wedding possible!
