Wonderful experience
We had a small, beautiful wedding this fall at Lulu’s. Ariel helped us through every step of the preparation process, and was there to manage everything at the wedding. She was beyond diligent and attentive in responding to our every question and need. The ceremony and reception were both lovely, and guests were all very happy with the service, the food, and the wedding cake. The hotel overall is a great venue, and all our guests were excited to be there. Our hotel room was also beautiful with a spectacular view. We had a wonderful experience. -

We love this hotel and stay there frequently even though we live in the area. My husband proposed in this hotel. It was almost a foregone conclusion that we would marry in this hotel. Its a very popular hotel for weddings because its beautiful, convenient, reasonably priced, completely full service, close to EWR and one stop on the train from NYC. The view of New York City must be seen to be believed, certainly better than almost any view from within the city.
Janell was our event planner and she was fantastic. She would respond promptly to our emails and phone calls at most any hour of the day or night. She was very organized and helped us deal with all of the rooms including some really pesky last minute (literally) changes. She helped us with some of the printing and she let us ship packages to her direct from Etsy or wherever.
Her in-depth knowledge though of how to make the W work efficiently though was where she really came into her own. She knew how to time everything so the toasts and the musical breaks and the cake cutting and the food ordering and the times to move people into the ceremony and then into the reception and how long the florists would need to transfer the flowers and everything was where her expertise really shone through. She worked with our incredibly complex spreadsheets and our ever changing seating plans. She knew all the vendors and their relationships were smooth and respectful. While the festivities were going on she decorated our room with balloons and pictures from our engagement photos.
Also of mention were the excellent servers especially Monique who is a consummate professional in every way. She was so attentive and so sweet and caring and always checking up on us and ensuring everything was going as planned. We really would've rather had her in the ceremony to hold our hands and tell us everything was going to work out fine there too.
We love this hotel in general but for our wedding it was perfect. -

We loved everything about our reception coordinator, Gina, head server Monique and all the W had to offer. Our setup was to die for, as was the food and attentive service. We were treated like royalty and the complimentary suite they gave us was nothing short of a dream. Get the cake through Palermo's (not Carlo's), which is included, and do the full candle wall! We also got embroidered bath robes, slippers, macaroons to die for, a tray of pastries and slices of cake, along with wine and beer, left in our suite at the end of the night. They also prepared 2 "to go" meals. I can't sing enough praises about this place and want to come re-visit for every anniversary. -

We can't sing the praises of the W enough! We were so impressed by the use of two rooms (Great Room 1 and Lulu's) for the cocktail hour and reception, and that they provided us with a bridal lounge. They threw in many extras in our contract, like ivory table linens, tableware, table signs, and cake knife. Gina Villacres filled in for another venue coordinator who left abruptly and was the most responsive and professional person we worked with. She took care of everything and was a life saver on the days leading up to and including the event. Everything was simply fantastic and elegant without being stuffy. We also got personalized bathrobes and slippers in our bridal suite! Monique the head server treated us like royalty and made sure that our glasses were full as well as our plates. She made us "to go" plates of both entrees and sent those, along with a bottle of wine and several beers and cake, to our suite at the end of the night. We ate, drank, celebrated and slept like kings on our wedding day. Every year on our anniversary we will visit the W to have dinner and maybe even stay overnight. Thank you to Gina and Monique for everything! You gave us an incredible experience that we will remember forever. -

My husband and I got married at the W on August 11. It was my favorite venue from the beginning and I was set on getting married there since my first consultation. Meghan worked with us to put together the package that worked best for us. Our planner, Hannah was extremely helpful in helping us make the day perfect in the months leading up to it. On the big day, she was available to us all morning and checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. We had our cocktail hour in Lulus which was the perfect setting! The indoor/outdoor space was set up perfectly. Our reception was just down the hall in the ballroom and it was beautiful!! Everyone raved about the food and the service for both the cocktail hour and the reception. There was no shortage of food and it was all delicious!! We held our ceremony and reception at Lulu's at the W. The space was recently acquired by the W as its own event space.
It was a great space (both indoor area and outdoor patio) that has the most amazing view of the skyline! I liked that the space had built-in décor (to the tune of five giant chandeliers, built in up-lighting with customizable color options, string lights, fireplace) that are all available at no additional charge. While we only had a few guests, the space could certainly accommodate a larger group, as it offers two bars and its own set of (numerous) private bathrooms.
We had 11 total guests (including ourselves) and had to literally purchase every plus-up option available in order to reach the room minimum for Thursday night. This meant that we got to try pretty much everything on the menu! The food was just delicious- and cooked perfectly!
The W offers a really solid wedding package (priced per person) that includes a cake (Carlo's or Palermo's) and even a wedding suite for the night of the wedding!
We felt like the staff the night of the wedding was very attentive. Chris was the biggest help! I set up the wedding the morning of, and he was constantly checking in on me to be sure I ate, had something to drink, and just had a moment to stop, laugh, and enjoy my day. Both he and Rosie were on service for us that evening- and were always there when we needed them!
Anya was our bartender, and she was also fantastic. She would always seem to appear with a drink in hand whenever anyone needed it! She even brought drinks to the table when we were seated for dinner.
Admittedly, I am not the easiest person to work with, as event planning is part of my business- and I handled my wedding in the same manner I handle all of my clients' events (buttoned up with attention to detail). This meant occasionally pestering the W's staff with ultra-picky questions. Hannah was extremely patient with me, and was very helpful throughout the process.

Our wedding was absolutely wonderful at the W Hotel in Hoboken. First of all, we worked mainly with Christina and Monica and they were the best! They were super responsive, sweet, professional, organized and just all around awesome. We had both our ceremony and our reception at the W. What they do is split the room and prepare the tables on one side and then break it down after the ceremony. We had sufficient amount of time to take pictures before the breakdown of the ceremony stage. Cocktail hour at LuLu's (an extra fee and not included in the base price) was apparently wonderful (i was whisked away taking pictures with friends an family), everyone was so happy with the food (the seafood bar! the lamb chops, etc!), the view, the location. Everything is was awesome.
The reception went so smoothly. Everything turned out beautiful and the staff was VERY attentive without being visible, they were like ghosts. My husband and I were so happy with our server, Chris, he was so attentive, I had a full glass of wine the entire time! He suggested that we have both the choices for dinner so we could try everything and that was an awesome suggestion. The food, the food let me tell you about the food. It was amazing. Chef Julian is amazing! He worked with us and made everything to our liking. He even worked with us to convert a main dish into an app that was served during cocktail hour, they really did whatever we wanted. Dessert - you get both a cake and dessert included in the package, for the cake you get to choose between carlos (barf) and palermos, obviously we went with palermos. The desserts, we decided to go with the buffet of desserts which were amazing and they were happy to alter some of them to be more fallish (pumpkin, apple ). The bridal suite was perfect for my bridesmaids and I to get ready in. I need to state is that the room for the wedding is modern so you need to spend money on uplighting and flower -

Upon entering the W Hoboken, my husband and I knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding- what truly sold us was the staff and the service that they exemplified from our very first meeting. Everyone at the W went above and beyond to make our wedding come to life. From Christina to Monica to Chef Julian and their teams, these individuals were the reason we had the most amazing time not only on our special day but throughout the whole planning process. Whenever we had questions or concerns, Monica and Christina were right there to walk us through everything. Chef Julian customized the menu to our liking and created dishes you would never expect to see at a wedding. Everything he created was delicious and flavorful and our guests are still raving about his food months later! The W Hoboken gave us the modern wedding we wanted with the personal service we needed. Words cannot express how grateful we are for everyone at the W Hoboken for making our wedding so special! -

I worked with Christina Leamer and team at the W Hotel in Hoboken to secure a room block for our traveling guests. The hotel was super accommodating when we needed to add additional rooms throughout the process and answered all our questions. They also gave us an amazing rate. My guests are used to staying in NYC when travelling to the area, so they were super impressed by the rate we secured for them at the W. Christina talked to me personally about booking the E-Wow Suite also. I was hesitant at first, but with her guidance and advice, we decided to book it. It was AMAZING! Not only were the views outstanding, but there was plenty of room for me and 8 other people to get hair and make-up done simultaneously. It was such a great decision and the pics turned out great. After the wedding reception, we continued the celebration in the lobby bar and the club upstairs and everyone had a great time. Christina was so helpful and the staff at the W were all great. We didn't want to leave after the wedding was over. -

We had our reception at the W on October 17, 2015 and all we can say is Wow! We had family and friends come from as far away as Arizona and as close as NYC and all were amazed with the space, views, food, and service. Monica and Christina went out of their way to make all of our dreams come true. We would highly recommend hosting a wedding reception here. We wish we could do it again! -

My fiancé and I were engaged in Sept 2014. We started shopping around different venues in Hudson County. We went to 3 other venues but finally decided on the W hotel in Hoboken. Thank god we choose this venue! Some of you may be familiar with the design and ambiance of other W hotels so you can understand our appeal. The lobby and lounge itself is stunning. We had our cocktail hour in Lulu's which is the bar at the W. Our guests are still talking about it. They said it was the best cocktail hour they have ever been to. The decor and views are truly over the top and stunning. The food was fabulous. Very well organized and presented and not to mention the taste! My fiancé and I wanted the feel to be romantic and modern/chic. We were able to achieve that at the W. The staff at the W was top notch. They took care of every need we had and made sure all our guest felt like they were the main priority. I worked with Christina Leamer and Monica Castillo. Honestly they made the entire process so smooth and painless. They helped my fiancé and I make tough decisions and were extremely helpful through out the entire process. I feel extremely lucky that I was able to have my special day at the W in Hoboken. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking in Hudson County/ North Jersey. The W has a NYC feel but it is a little more comfortable and romantic at the Hoboken location. We did not hear one negative review from ANY of our guests and we have some tough critics. I hope that the brides reading this will take the time to go and scout out this venue ! We have much love to the W Family and will continue to promote and recommend as much as possible. Christina Leamer is a consummate professional but she is also friendly and accessible. She gives the impression that she enjoys her job and that she genuinely cares about your event. If one vendor did not quite work out she quickly provided the information for another. Unsolicited advice and information was provided based on prior conversations and requests. Christina is definitely the reason I went with a venue in Hoboken and not NYC as originally planned. -

Our wedding at the W Hoboken was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more. The whole stay was incredibly luxurious and we felt like they accommodated every single little need we had. Our guests still talk about what a wonderful visit it was for them as well. The area views are so gorgeous, the amenities are endless, and there could not have been a more "all inclusive" way to host our guests. Hosting them in Hoboken provided the spectacular views of NYC, the easy access in/out of the city, easy options for our rehearsal dinner, a perfect hotel breakfast option at Zylo, and a very close atmosphere for the weekend. For days before and after the wedding we were bumping into our guests in town, around the hotel, working out along the water, everywhere. It really brought everyone together, which is exactly what the whole weekend was about. On the big day we were both able to schedule spa time at Bliss, eat from the tasty room service options while getting ready, we had every extra accessory needed in our rooms from mirrors to makeup chairs, even the black cars reserved at the entry for our photo needs before the nearby ceremony. Every detail was covered, each member of the staff was so very attentive, the guests were well taken care of, the space looked flawless and it was everything exactly the way we wanted. Showing that the night was such a blast, our guests were not ready to stop once the wedding ended and thankfully we had the Living Room Lounge downstairs to keep the night going for hours more. By the time the night really came to a close, our details (servers, flutes, etc) were so graciously moved up to our suite. Only recommendations; Ask to have a sampler of the amazing wedding food brought up to your room at night’s end. If you're set on SPECTACULAR interior spaces this may not be the most appropriate venue selection. For us the service, hospitality and "all inclusive" type of experience for guests was more important. -

My husband and I looked all around NYC and Northern NJ for our reception site. We were looking for something modern with a metropolitan vibe that was fairly turn-key. From the minute we met with the staff at W Hoboken we were sold.
The prices were comparable to others in the area and they were willing to work with us. We were able to negotiate a bit on price, head count (we were only expecting 110 vs their 150 min) and added in plenty of food. One watch out - they charge a set service fee which is taxable.
First, let me say the service was fantastic. Vivian (the head planner) is AMAZING! Totally on top of EVERYTHING yet calm, warm, reassuring…cannot say enough about her. I am admittedly a bit of a control freak and she put me completely at ease. I felt 100% confident that she would ensure a flawless experience and she delivered. For Vivian and her team, alone, I would recommend the W Hoboken. Note to other brides – based on my experience I would question whether an additional day-of planner is really worth it.
The evening was flawless and our guests had a great time –still raving about the cocktail hour (the seafood station was a hit!). The ONLY thing I would do differently is the main course. Based on the tasting we chose the dry-aged NY Strip. The night-of it was not consistently as good and the presentation was not the same. Some loved while the head table and parents tables were in-edible. I would recommend going with the Filet instead.
In addition to the wedding services, the staff downstairs for the restaurants was also very accommodating which made the whole experience even better. We ended the night downstairs with space reserved in the ‘library’ which was a really nice touch for our guests and family who wanted to still enjoy the night. The next morning, Zylo hosted a casual brunch before our guests took off and it was a great way to cap off the weekend.
In the end, I would highly recommend.

I only had 6 months from engagement to wedding day, and working with the staff at the W Hoboken was amazing. Vivian, our coordinator, was so gracious in working with our busy and tight schedules. The space was simple elegance, and we loved having the large windows and sunlight for our daytime event. Our head waitress was absolutely amazing, and she made sure that I always had a cold drink at my table and that I got a chance to eat during the day. I wish I could hire her for every event! -

Amazing place! Our wedding coordinator (Vivian Cohen) was helpful and very responsive throughout the whole process. She is very organized and made certain our wedding was perfect. Vivian Lo Cohen, the Senior Catering and Conference Services Manager, offers absolutely meticulous, compassionate, and thoughtful care and service!! Not only is she amazing at what she does, but she is a wonderful person, and it was truly a pleasure working with her. We could not have asked for a kinder, warmer, more attentive professional to guide and assist us in planning our wedding. We are so incredibly grateful for all of her assistance and understanding! We only wish we could give her more than 5 stars for her responsiveness! Every email and request was attended to nearly instantly! Chris, our maitre d' was equally as wonderful. He made sure we were well fed and hydrated on the hottest day of the year.
From contracting to clean up, from working with Angela Pandolfi in Sales to Anna MacDiarmid, the General Manager, we were so well taken care of. Couples are in incredible and more than capable hands.
The W offered memorable views, unsurpassed service, world class cuisine, and the modern luxury we were looking for. Almost 6 months later, people are still talking about it... -

The W Hoboken is an amazing venue for any upscale event. The hotel is new - just over a year old, and it's modern and sleek. My husband and I were thrilled with the service that Vivian and Julie provided to us. They were always on top of everything and were very quick to return emails and answer questions. They had every detail in mind from the day we booked our wedding until the day after the wedding. The entire W staff was extremely professional, accommodating, patient, and pleasant. The food was incredible. Our friends and family are still talking about the food - from the cocktail hour, to the sit down dinner, to the cake from Carlo's Bakery. There was absolutely nothing we would have changed about our experience. In fact, we wished that we booked the wedding for an extra hour so our guests could enjoy the hotel a little longer. Book your wedding at the W Hoboken!!!! -

If you want a sleek, modern, trendy hotel this is definitely in. i knew i wanted to get married at the W before i even got engaged. The hotel is beautiful and i knew i didn't want the traditional ballroom. The food and service are both incredible. Monique was our head server and i cant say enough good things about her. Our wedding coordinator, Monica, left the hotel a week before our wedding which obviously made me extremely nervous but everything went off without a hitch! You have to know going into it you are going to be paying much more for what you would get at a wedding hall but that comes with the territory of booking at a hotel. Also, you need to pay more to make it look nicer than a conference room, i.e. white drapes on the walls, chiavari chairs, uplighting. The room looked absolutely stunning and the food was extremely plentiful. Highly recommend! -

We love the service and food. Everyone we came in contact with were professional and sincere. The food was delicious. The quality of the food was about the same as when we had the tasting! The consistency of the food really impressed us.
The hotel has a nice view of the NYC skyline. We were very impressed with how professional everyone was. My guests had a blast. We were also given a complimentary room for the night and it has a balcony and a gorgeous view. -

Christina and Monica were extremely sweet and helpful during this whole wedding process. They were very accommodating to all of the details I wanted to have for my wedding and made sure it was setup perfectly on our wedding day. Everything with Monica was a smooth process and her great personality made it so easy to work with her for our special day.
The W in Hoboken is what you would expect. It is very modern, sleek and beautifully decorated. It fit our wedding theme perfectly. The food at the wedding was also great, considering that it was prepared for 130+ guests. In terms of value, the W is priced quite high but I still think it is worth it. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I recommend everyone to at least go check out the venue. You won't be disappointed with the venue or the excellent staff. -

Great Location & Good Food
We had our Wedding at the end of August 2019. Our wedding was a blast and we had a lot of fun. Our hotel event planner was Gina and she was professional and easy to work with. Leonard also helped to make sure our day ran smoothy. He also contacted our honeymoon hotel (Ritz Carlton Bali) to help us get an upgraded room. We are truly appreciative of him and Gina.

The W hotel in Hoboken hosted my wedding on June 20, 2015 and overall I was very pleased with the venue and service. The W was very accommodating in terms of customizing the menu and event order which was great because we had a few requests related to food and drinks that they were very willing to work with us on. The day of everything flowed very smoothly and my guests thought it was a great event; the room looked gorgeous and everything was set up exactly as ordered. People could not stop talking about the food and said it was above and beyond! Our head waiter was also fantastic, he really helped the day of run smoothly for us.
We had one request to have a larger '72 inch round table, however the venue did not have any additional tables available than the standard round size (not sure dimensions but fits about 10) - so we ended up having to rent one from an outside vendor and it was pretty expensive (~$400 total).
The area where expectations fell somewhat sort was with the room bookings at the hotel. We had about 110 guests staying at the hotel in addition to ourselves and the day of we had some check-in issues with people not being able to get into rooms on time (including myself) and we had some people who had to switch rooms after they checked in. The GM of the hotel sent a nice apology and did what they could to remedy the situation so I would say they handled it well after the fact. Even with the hotel booking issues, I would definitely recommend this venue to friends, family etc and I thought the venue staff did an awesome job. -

We stayed at the W Hoboken for our wedding night. We absolutely love the W chain and its brand so we were particularly excited for our special night. Overall, we loved it, but a few things unpleasantly surprised us. Firstly, I stood in like to check in (in my wedding dress!!) for 20 minutes. Secondly, I thought they'd upgrade us, or do something special for us, but we didn't get anything. I guess they didn't have to, but I thought that they would. Oh well... -
