Beyond grateful for Emil and Agnes!
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Emil for our courthouse wedding in 2020, and those pictures came out stunning! Emil met us at City Hall and then continued to shoot all over downtown for 2 hours in 30 degree Chicago winter weather. Those photos are stunning and we will always be thankful for those memories during our wedding in the pandemic.
Fast forward to 2022, we finally had our reception! Emil was flexible with timing and answered all my questions. Agnes our day of videographer as well and she was a gem to work with too! Emil made us feel comfortable, not too posed, and captured photos that will be timeless. We got the photos back quickly and to this day I am still falling in love with them. I’m so thankful for their teamwork because I don’t even remember seeing them- since I was too busy being a bride, and they captured every second. Having a duo video/photo team is SO helpful during a wedding. They were effortless. The video is incredible and brings me right back to that day. Emil is everything you could ask for in a photographer and more. He has the most creative and brilliant ideas for capturing just the right pictures! Emil was best vendor we had!!!
Emil was easily the best vendor we had. From our engagement photos that people were in awe of, to the ceremony photos, to the reception a year later, to the video he made, to the photo booth. This man is an absolute pro. Responsive, an expert at his craft, his wife Agnes was awesome as well. Cannot recommend Emil and his team enough. The best price point we had and the best vendor we had!
We are still loving our engagement and wedding photos from last year. He met us downtown for engagement photos and was incredibly flexible. The photos from the wedding were insanely beautiful. And he capped it off last night with our reception a year later. So grateful for Agnes and him. The photo booth he ran was such a hit as well! My friends already have selected him as their photographer/videographer when they eventually get married too.Emil was easily the best vendor we had. Fantastic Photographer with Keen Eye for Detail
Emil was great! He has a keen eye on how and where to take pictures. He also has very good directions on how we're supposed to model. Plus Emil toughed it out in the cold for some outdoor photos. He is a very experienced wedding photographer, and it showed in the pictures. We love the candid shots he captured throughout the day and night. His work created a lasting album for our wedding. Had an amazing experience with Visual Etiquette from first meeting with them to my wedding day! Arrived on time and even early, respectful, professional all day, they did not sit down for a second and really wowed me with their work ethic!! Great experience and photos for colorful wedding
Emil was our photographer for our engagement photos and wedding photos/videography. We just recently received our wedding photos and they are spectacular. Still waiting on the video, but we wanted to leave a review before we forgot and we are certain the video will be just as great. We paid for a second person to help on the wedding day and he was also terrific (forget his name, unfortunately). Rates were very reasonable.
Emil was always timely and respectful in all our communications and he is incredibly easy to get along with, which really helps getting candid, great photos. He had great ideas and compositions. To the extent it's helpful, we had bright orange and blue wedding colors at the Morton Arboretum on an overcast day and all of the photos absolutely pop -- we've gotten lots of really lovely compliments from those we've shown them to.

Beautiful and fun engagement shoot
My fiance and I had our engagement shoot with Emil last month and the photos came out spectacular! He is creative, attentive, and makes the experience fun and comfortable. Loved having Emil as our wedding photographer! He was professional and helped guide us throughout the whole wedding process. I loved all my pictures and he captured so many unforgettable memories throughout the night. His value is amazing, when I first found him I almost thought it was a scam because his pricing was so much lower than any other photographers I looked into. I received my wedding pictures around 2 months after the wedding with a preview album only 5 weeks after! I had so many guests comment on him and how friendly he was. Emil of Visual Etiquette shot my wedding on August 14th and did an amazing job. I am a graphic designer and do photo art direction professionally, so I am very critical of photographs and I couldn't be happier. Emil worked within our tight time frame without a single complaint, and still managed to get fantastic shots both indoors and out. He never stopped taking photos and captured so many great moments without interrupting the ceremony and party. On top of it all, he was friendly and nice to everyone there, I had many compliments from guests. When looking at Emil's website and pricing (which was significantly lower than all the other photographers we met with), I was not sold on his work and talent. However, the day we met Emil and he showed us recent engagement sessions and weddings he had done and we were sold.
Emil was extremely personable, easy to work with and the end product is very, very special. Emil shot our engagement session on a very windy summer day on the lakefront. During the session our clothes and my hair was flying everywhere. We got the photos back and they were stunning. The shots he captured were truly one of a kind and showed our personalities through and through. I was then met with a challenge to pick one photo for our ‘Save The Date’; can you say challenging? Let's just say, there were over 50 shots that were stunning and I finally landed on 2 ‘Save The Date’ designs.
Fast forward to our wedding day. Emil was on-time, and on-point. He was everywhere capturing everything! Emil has a great eye and the results show.
We ordered a photo album and also got a slideshow montage included in our package. The montage was spectacular. The music, the photos and the flow and compositions perfectly depicted our wedding day, like nothing I could have ever imagined. We ordered a wedding video from another vendor, but the slideshow from VisualEtiquette far surpasses the quality of our wedding video (and that’s saying a lot because video is often more detailed and better at storytelling). The montage makes people cry whenever they watch it, including us.
We recently received our wedding album and knew we'd be happy with it; and we are!

Emil is an amazing photographer who truly cares about his clients and his work. It started snowing the morning we were scheduled to take our pictures but Emil showed up on time and did not complain once, trekking through the snow to get some amazing shots. He is extremely thorough and worked with us longer than our allocated time at no additional charge. He was extremely friendly, energetic and very hard working. Emil was easy to work with and most importantly made us feel comfortable and relaxed during our photo session. He took a nice variety of classical and artsy shots. Emil and Agnes were delightful to work with and incredibly professional. The wedding video was very good, and it was like watching an emotional movie with great choice of songs. We have had the most fun at our wedding with you guys.
